That was amazing! Thanks for posting! I'm glad effort was put into a behind the scenes feature for once!
-
Love it! I can't fucking wait for the next tour!
-
I think Tina is 70 though
-
I don't know why the hell she is doing this! The "new" vocals on ROL don't even really sound like her... atleast on the Confessions DVD it sounded live, here its like they weren't even trying.

New official t-shirt
That's nicer than the Human Nature one they made in the summer. The summer one looked like a high school project.

Most: Deeper and Deeper, Music, Vogue
Least: Hey You, This Used to Be My Playground
-
I wonder why they put the year 2008 after the song titles on the actual CD.
-
"Music" is her UNcoolest video ever and one of the cringeworthiest attempts at being "cool" of all time if you ask me.
I know its really cheesy, I guess I like it cause its my favourite song of hers.
-
Even though they are more of her simpler videos, probably Beautiful Stranger or Music.
-
I got all excited over nothing! I thought they were adding the bonus 2009 tracks! You can just rip the audio and have the whole concert for your ipod.
-
I love how people pick up on these things.

You'd think Miles Away would be on there.

theyre stupid for not including the new songs from SS2
I know!!!
I love Madonna, but she drops the ball when it comes to releasing her material onto DVD.
-
I like the look she was going for, but it would have looked way better if she was on the catwalk or something... It's kind of strange to just have the empty stage.
-
The rest of the dvd is ok, but by no means as good as the brilliant IGTTYAS footage.'
Also I found out why it wasn't released:
Christian Lamb (not to be confused with his dad, Chris Lamb, who has been production manager on all of Madonna's tours) was asked to direct the dvd as he was also the live venue screens director. It was filmed during the two final shows in Lisbon. The main issue was that Madonna felt Christian didn't have a clear vision of how he wanted to present the show, and ultimately, after dozens of edits, she wasn't pleased with the final footage. (He ended up with a special thanks in the IGTTYAS credits and was re-hired as live venue screens director for the Confessions Tour.)

After watching the two videos, I now see her point, some of the camera angles at times were very sloppy. Other than that though, it was amazing to finally see the footage!!!

I have to agree. The problem is that I know some fans get discouraged because some dee jays tend to laugh at people who request new Madonna songs. I can see if you're calling an all rock channel or an alternative or college station, you getting that reaction, but not a pop station.
And I hate to think that her "gay following" hurts her as well. I'm not sure why some people thumb their nose up to Madonna because she has a gay following and feel that is all she appeals to. I don't believe that's true and unfortunately that is mainly an American thing because in Europe, there seems to be an acceptance of being a fan if you're straight as well. In America, it seems immediately when someone says they're a fan of Madonna, they think, "are you gay?" I don't think fans gay or straight want her to get boxed in to being just a gay entertainer. It will continue to limit her audience.
I'm in high school right now and that is most peoples attitude towards her. Some girls I know have even called her "an ugly old hag," which is quite laughable coming from them. I guess its mostly just ageism

Maybe later on in her career they are planning on releasing something similar to what the band KISS has done with KISSology. They released pretty much all their concert/interview/specials material into 3 or 4 volumes. I think pretty much all their stuff was covered, even multiple shows of the same tour. Then again, Gene Simmons will cash in on anything. So who knows?
-
Michael Jackson is the same. You can't buy the Bad or History tours at all. When they released the Dangerous tour it sold well because it was the FIRST and ONLY MJ concert ever available to buy.
I am very surprised they haven't tried to cash in on those yet...
"I SAID START THE SHOW MOTHERFUCKERS!"

I love how she is literally in charge of everything from costumes to musical arrangements, it makes me admire her even more that she isn't recycling the same routines as the last tour like most artists do.
