  1. Yeah I was right next to him at that show - I think he just got nervous! He is a big M fan, he said he's seen her a few times. She was complaining about the pot smoking too. :chuckle: I think she said "I'm off of this shit!" which she also said on the epix broadcast.

I was fine with her being late because I was there on vacation seeing her shows, but I can see why people would be extremely pissed off. In most cities the public transit systems shut down at midnight and she wasn't finishing her shows till 12:30. Not to mention if people had babysitters or something... "I'll be home by 11... I mean 2."

I thought for sure she was going to just film the Madison Square Garden shows, especially because it was added after and then they added the second show.

  2. the esther tracksuit era last for a while huh? from 2003 to what 2006 ??

a friend of mine who is a stylist told me that the reason why she would wear tracksuits, trucker hats and ed hardy

is because people send her a bunch of free stuff all the time.

that is why we would see her in ed hardy so much

I always wondered how that worked with stylists and if the customer has to buy the clothing. Look at Kylie Minogue - I swear most of the time she doesn't step out in an outfit that didn't tally up to over a couple thousand dollars... yet surely she wouldn't own all of the clothes.

It's always funny that although Madonna is raking in the millions every month she still penny pinches every chance she gets! The early New York days never left her!

  3. Love this performance! I wish they used a 2009 recording for the DVD! The show improved so much with the Marilyn Minter opening, Frozen and Dress You Up! It would be interesting to see what Holiday looked like before they added the MJ tribute in.

I remember Paul Oakenfold played I'm Not Alone in his set before the show and I really liked the song... low and behold a couple hours later it was mixed in with Frozen!

  4. The first CD I bought when I was 8 years old was her Music album... I remember playing the title track over and over. Then when I was 16 I got back into her music and re-discovered her old catalogue and became obsessed - I even somehow convinced my mom to fly all the way to London just to see her in '09. Growing up with her in my teens has really helped me as a person and changed my life, she's such a big role model to me in so many ways!

  5. I'll post a bigger review later, but I was front row centre again and it was the best concert I've ever attended! She came right down to the centre and handed me the mic for Open Your Heart, Holiday and LAP! She saw I was singing my lungs out to TUTR so she gave me alot of time with the mic even if I was losing my voice! Haha I got alot of eye contact throughout the show... It was beyond amazing for me! So glad I changed my plans and came to Seattle after Vancouver! She mentioned my Keith Haring shirt and Boytoy necklace as well in the speech!

  6. I ended up having 5th row tickets for Sunday night on the side of the triangle... I just couldn't not believe the low energy level... I was dancing my ass off in my section while some people were sitting down in the second row onwards!!! It seemed like it was all older people... husbands and wives...! Other than that it was a great show, it was good seeing it from the tip of the triangle, but there is no comparison to being in the GT. She cut Holiday and Like a Virgin but did sing Love Spent, I was really looking forward to LAV because of my seat but oh well... I won't be coming to see her in Vancouver anymore! Also some 60 yr old man got shitfaced and took his shirt off towards the end and got taken out by security and he was in the second row... Really?!?!
