  1. lol.....tickets just went on sale today, get it, today (for the u.s.a leg of the tour). how can there be a fucking backlash? what, was she suppose to sell the whole tour out today? jesus christ, get some other hobbies besides ciccone's ass.

    :vanitybonet:

that's how i feel too. I dont get the whole 'backlash' thing either. According to most on this very site, no one even knows about the tour, the cd, anything, cause she hasnt done any PROMOTION! so how can there be a backlash against something no one knows anything about? can there be a backlash when its only us that know? and most of us are going?

i think i'm in the minority cause i get that people dont want to pay 354 to sit in section 432. But you dont have to pay 354..there are other price ranges. everyone cant have a good seat. i'd be willing to pay 50 bucks and sit in section 511 just to be there. lucky enough i got good seats, but i'd go no matter what. i would just want to be there.

  2. Exactly, and the last thing I want is a bunch of annoying ass people who don't give a fuck about Madonna jamming up the place. There are enough of those anyway, but the prices help eliminate some of the chaff.

I like all your posts. Which show are you going to again?

  3. mrlover...i just checked Chicago again and if i put in 2 tix, its says nothing available, but when i put in 1..it came up the same section you got...103...

what row and seat number do you have? I wonder if this one is right next to it? i think it said row 11 seat 15? I'll by it and sit next to you! :demonic:

i looked at the seating chart and man, that place is HUGE!

  4. yeah, i just checked Chicago too and saw that it was sold out already. No 2nd show though. Something tells me this wont be like the last 2 tours were there are multiple dates. Probably best not to be choosy about seats and wait for the next date to be announced cause i have a feeling these dates....thats all there will be.

i checked Boston too and man, some good stuff is still available there. Check out those club seats...row A in section 107. I'd take those if that was the show i was going to.

Kinda weird boston is selling so slow as she's done massive dates there before

  5. Virgin Tour at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia Maryland. I think i even remember the date...June 1 1985

    Who's that Girl...RFK stadium in Washington DC..July 1987

Blond Ambition...Capital Center. Landover Maryland. June 1990....we were the 1st show after the cancelled ones mentioned in Truth or Dare. We were so nervous ours would get cancelled too.

Girlie SHow (2 times) MSG and Philly. I believe these were October/November 1993

Drowned World...both Washington DC shows (my least fave)

    Re-invention...4 times..2 Washington shows, 1 philly and 1 MSG

Confessions...3 times...2 MSG shows and 1 atlantic city. (the 2 MSG shows were electric, best crowds i was ever a part of)

  6. Ditto. Did the same thing during RIT. Got my 'Icon' seat, and 2nd night was added bought through ticketmaster. After that year I've never renewed my Icon membership.

    hey! another Washington Dc-er!

by the way....love the pic you used in the sig...love the sparklies!

  7. I think it's assumed that because I entered the passcode on ticketmaster that I used it. I thought it only counted if you followed through with the purchase. I needed 4 tickets for MSG. When I entered 4 on the London show I wasn't really thinking through. All I knew was that I wasn't purchasing the tickets so it wouldn't count. Apparently, it did. All I wanted to do was know what to expect when buying tickets for NY. I was just trying to be safe because I didn't want to get confused while I was actually buying. Everything was so complicated at Icon and I just needed to be sure what was gonna happen. The message board is closed now at Icon and there's nothing for me to do. I'm on the verge of a breakdown. I know I'll get tickets next week if not now, but I'd rather get it out of the way so I can rest easy, you know. Does anyone know Johann from Icons e-mail? Is it the same as the one for the signed album cover contest? Thanks.

dont stress too much buddy. SOme of the best tix become avaiable a week or so before the show. I purchased tix to both RIT and Confessions the day they went on sale and ended up buying another set for RIT the day before the shows when tix were released at the last moment. Best seats i ever had.

for Confessions they were released a bit earlier, i think almost a month before the shows i went to, and i got good ones then too. Today isnt all or nothing...believe me, you'll get good tix!

  8. MSG all the way.

I should also add that one reason why all shows might not sellout in the US is because our economy is in the crapper. People might be less willing to pay money to see her when they cant keep a roof over their head. Really, its getting bad. lol

I'm going to MSG as well. Keep me posted on what day you go. Would be fun to meet you.

A friend of mine that lives in Mexico (just over the border from texas) is going to the houston show and invited me, i would have considered that had it not been a stadium. I didnt know it was one of the ones that had a roof, but that said, even if you're first row, its miles away (no pun intended) I used to think stadium shows were some sort of status thing, like you REALLY made it once you could do stadium dates. But now (from my own personal opinion) i think it looks more impressive when you have 6 or 7 Madison Square Garden dates vs. 1 stadium show. I mean when i was in New York for the Confessions tour, it was so cool to see her dates listed..all those dates in June, the early July dates and then the mid July dates. She had so many!

  9. here you go - a scan of my ticket

    $22.50

Pud...i recently came across my stub for the same tour...i saw her in Washington DC at RFK Stadium...i had floor/field tix===row 22, seat 19 and mine were 20 dollars. and i remember standing in line and people pissing and moaning over 20 bucks...how dare she...who does she think she is...charging TWENTY DOLLARS! How times have changed!

Like i said, my row was 22 and it seemed like i was in another city it seemed so far away. I am gonna go to MSG to see her like she should be seen. That Houston show is a stadium too right? Late November? Thats gonna be a cold bitch of a night. :scared:

  10. Suckers? More like the old queens and pompous rich people. Madonna has a lot of older gay fans that have a lot of disposable income. They don't have to pay for kids, so that money can go to Madonna. The young fags can be in the back and the older ones that can pay thousands for a ticket will be in the front

    thats right!

and dont be yelling at me to sit down when i'm blocking your view from the front row!

  11. hope that we'll see some stats for the week we're in now, I repurchased Erotica because my old copy was pretty worn out

So maybe it'll boost from 59 to 60!! LOL

I got a new copy too! Same reason! :boxing:

Speaking of her catalog, i was x-mas shopping at our local best buy and out of no where they have restocked the Confessions Tour. for about 6 months they've had this one lone copy there and now they have 2 'slots' full. They also reordered a few copies of I'm gonna tel you a secret which werent there last time and i saw some copies of True Blue. I kinda wonder why they pick the ones they do to restock. And why they wait until theres no real shopping days left. ON the other hand, i'm sure no one's gonna buy these anyway so no biggie but the point is, this store always waits until the last week of shopping to restock. They do this every year. Last year they had no copies of COADF until the last week and then all the sudden theres like 20 copies.

I bought a copy of Confessions Tour for a friend who didnt have it yet. he's a little slow on these things! LOL So at least it sold one copy. And i got one of Erotica. But i had to get that at a differnt Best Buy cause this one hasnt carried it for about 10 years.

  12. this whole Beyonce things proves a point that I made awhile back that they should price CD's similarly to DVD's, in the sense that the price depreciates and they go on sale cheaper and cheaper after they've sold all they really can sell at a certain price. B. Day has been off the chart for months, it's been a long time since Beautiful Liar or Irreplaceable was in the top 10, but yet 73,000 people wanted it on sale for $5 (at just one retailer, it might've done even more if Best Buy, Target, etc.. had it on sale too) while only 4000 wanted it at regular price the week before. This is a sign that the music industry needs to do with CD's what the movie industry does with DVD's that have been out a certain amount of time and sales started slowing down. I think after an album has been out six months, the sales have peaked and are going down and it makes logical sense to bring the price down, because more people are going to want to pay a lower price for something than they would $15-18. Beyonce's album is well over a year old and hasn't had a single on the chart in quite some time but yet for $5, that was a price that 73,000 people decided it was worth adding to their collection, compared to 4000 who wanted it for full-price the week before. See, people will still purchase cd's, you just need to find a price point that the consumers will agree with. The Eagles are a perfect example, $11.99 list and it's one of the fastest selling albums of 2007 and will likely go neck and neck with HSM2 for the year end.

    great post!
