  1. Erotica as a whole is the only one to me that seems too "stuck in it's time". I love it but even her older albums sound more "fresh" in my opinion.

To me Erotica reminds me of a lot of early 90s R&B and hip hop albums because of the production values. It has that lo-fi recorded from a cassette deck sound to it. The closest I can compare it to in sound is Mary J. Blige's What's The 411? which came out the same year.

  2. Can someone please (once and for all) answer a question about Like A Prayer? On the cover of the record it says " A DIGITAL RECORDING". Does this mean the sound on the record, CD, etc is as good as it gets? Or can it be RE-mastered for a better sound quality? Same for everything POST LAP. In my opinion, for example, "I'm Breathless" could stand a good do-over, if you know what I mean.

Probably WB's Digital Analogue that they touted for years. That sticker was on nearly every CD or cassette I bought back then. I think it just happens that LAP had it printed on the cover.

  3. Both are still ignoring Causing a Commotion.

The Immaculate Collection is a classic everyone should own. My only complaint is that GOD-AWFUL version of "Into The Groove". Shep Pettibone massacred that song with horrendous piano solo in it. Having the original on 'Celebration' is one of that albums saving graces. But back to TIC, Shep did a fantastic job with the rest of the songs. The album will always have magical memories for me. Madonna was the biggest star on the planet. Madonna was EVERYWHERE. 1990; amazing year.

How about Borderline with an entire verse edited out of the song?
