  1. HOW CAN U SAY THAT? CONFESSIONS WAS AN EVENT. EVEN THOSE WHO DONT LIKE MADONNA IN GERERAL ...WOULD SAY....HEY I REALLY LIKE THAT HUNG UP SONG, ITRS VERY CATCHY.

    SO.

I dont know... most people ridiculed the fact she had to sample ABBA to score a hit... well I know the sample probably didnt do much, but still... thats the impression people got.

  2. You know, we have other options. I mean, you don't have to go. It's not mandatory. If you hate these songs so much and are tired of the way she performs them, you don't have to go. She didn't ask you to spend your hard earned money on the show. That was your choice. Luckily, there is StubHub for you to sell your ticket and get your money (and then some) back. See, she even offered you an alternative.

I know I am being sarcastic but I mean it. I just joined the forum a couple of months ago and I have been a fan since 1984. I have avoided the forums for this reason. People can be so ugly and hateful. I am not going to sit here and defend her actions (StubHub, song choices, ticket prices, etc). It's not about that. It's about being a fan. If you are no longer happy with her choices, don't be a fan. Sell your ticket and say goodbye. Don't passive agressively bash her in a forum and then end up going to the show and loving it.

I know, I know...but what is a forum for? Sure, have discussions but the amount of negativity is unreal. I didn't know that "these" were Madonna fans. I was hoping to meet a few good ones. I won't try to tell you how to conduct yourself in these forums, it's not my place and it is completely your choice. It just makes me sad - back in the day, being a fan meant excitement and fun. Where did it all go?

    My guess... Youtube.

  3. You can hate it all you want, there is a whole brigade of people on here who dislike that album and they all came out of the woodwork when Hard Candy came (and went). Doesn't bother me one bit. I have no issue with your opinion of the music, I just think your reasoning behind some of your taste is all sorts of bizzare and bogus. Anyway, I'll stop now.

Oh, I disliked it from the beginning and I wont change my mind... resting the entire sucess on the album on a sample from ABBA is very weak considering were talking Madonna here. At least Sepheryn and the others were uknown tunes, but my god, Gimme... classic of classics...

  4. I love Confessions but I think it's stupid the way you dismiss it. Maybe if you weren't so eager to broadcast your hatred of all things gay-friendly I wouldn't have such an issue with your posts.

Okay I get it, you like it, fine... so be it. I dismiss the album on the basis that it was damage control, leotards, flaunting your ass in the camera while trying to be hip... and the music was bad as well. I say music, it would be more sounds really...

  5. I know, I know, too gay and disco and all that, you're still waiting for Madonna to make a Black Sabbath album, we get it. No one's buying it.

It somehow seems you and I got off on some wrong foot... is saying Confessions sucks some kind of no-no on the Madonna forums? Because it seems like it... damn one guy at Mtribe even went mental over it.

  6. She can repeat and expand on the super classy champagne guzzling on stage and also deliver another nonsensical granny FUCK THE PRESENT speech. I won't mention the dreaded guitar solo, I'm sorry TEASING I meant because I'm sure it will pop up whether we like it or not (and we dont).

It wasnt a guitar solo, true she should drop that routine, but it wasnt a guitar solo. A guitar solo would involve actual chords and riffs... :dramatic:

  7. MadonnaTribe has heard there has been a little change in the Sticky & Sweet Tour setlist. The 1989 classic song Like A Prayer, an all time fan favourite, has been recently added to the list of songs rehearsed by Madonna for the tour that were already reported by MadonnaTribe News.

It is still not clear at the moment if the song is an addition to the already existing setlist or if it will replace one of the previously mentioned songs.

Like A Prayer enters the setlist rehearsals along huge hits of the same caliber such as Vogue, Ray Of Light, Into The Groove, La Isla Bonita, Hung Up and Music.

if true, please be the album version... :dramatic:

  8. You mention that guy in every post, what's your obsession?

From the first moment I saw him wikki wikki on MTV I knew this guy was shit. Now several years later hes still doing the same goddamn wikki wikki routine and Im losing my mind as to how people swallow his shitty (and even stolen) comodore 64 beats. :dramatic:

  9. This is lunacy. The album has not SUFFERED from the GIGANTIC, MASSIVE success of 4 MINUTES. Noone outside of her looned fanbase (who buy it all anyway) has ever commented that it was out of place, or a letdown, or weak in any way.

    Just lunacy.

Well I dont know... nobody I know likes it. But then again nobody likes Tim Mosleys joke of production skills either so...

  10. thank God some good news

afterall drownedmadonna wasnt totally mistaken.. well i hope

    is Popbitch reliable?

THERE'S STILL HOPE FOR A BETTER SETLIST

Popbitch seems to be as reliable as the websites they took that info from... its old and probably just rumors.

  11. The guitar is good when it's used as a prop or as part of something bigger like the CPG on DWT or the performances on TCT. It's laughable when Madonna seriously tries to play the trobadour or the rock chick like in the RIT.

Burning Up on RIT was awesome...

  12. The point was never to look live in the first place. The dvd is just an idealized version of the show itself, which she clearly saw as a club experience. I loved the editing and special effects they added in post production. Jonas is brilliant, and you just know he worked the same magic for the RIT tour.

As far as "live" goes, I saw the show in person. That's enough live for me. :dramatic:

Well, as much as I do see your point, we did miss out on a live recording of the show. And it also masked any and all imperfections which makes the whole experience less enjoyable to watch. Its too "perfect" in a way...

  13. I meant solo, no need to be a dick about it :bad:

And it still doesn't change the fact that it remains one of the worst performances she's ever given

Well that wasnt a guitar solo either... as for worst performance ever, well, did anybody watch the rest of the promo tour. Everything was off, the vocals were bad, everything. Im saying they didnt practice enough, but I assume they have had plenty of time to do that now for the actual tour.

  14. Ideally they should shoot it with some Sony HDCAM cameras using SDI out to 4:4:4 at 24p full hd then mix it afterwards. This would look slightly more live because it would lack the dynamic feel of film yet retain the option to add some effects in post if so is needed.

Or just shoot HD through a vision mixer and be done with it. The positive thing with that is we would get probably more than one aired concert and thus more variety. Think BAT and GS...
