  1. I love the Candy Shop-Vogue costumes and hair. Its so severe but I like Madonna like that. I've never been a fan of "smooth and safe" Madonna. I like her to look a little intimidating and scary, it fits what she's all about. She had a good balance of scary/beautiful on the Confessions Tour.

The 4 Minutes costume is shittastic of course. But I love everything else.

  2. Pink has a great voice, which is only underscored by the fact that she sounds 100% flawless live. As much as I like Madonna's voice, I have to say that it was nothign short of a mess on the last tour. It's not what it used to be. Who knows why; all I know is that on this last tour (and on the album), it was horrible.

The point is that Pink's got extreme vocal talent. Madonna's vocal talent is negligible, but it sounds good to the ear (most of the time) and it suits what she does. Madonna's real talent lies in her performing ability and her ideas. When I think of reasons why I admire Madonna, vocals don't even enter my brain.

  3. Gaga is talented but unfortunately she's an idiot of the higest order. I just saw her new video and some awful interview where she was talking about big dix and then later turning around and responding with "oh, that's a stupid question" as if she's some sort of intellectual tigress with something important to say. Worst. Does she not realize that she had been giving nothing but stupid answers that entire interview? Madonna may be more uptight than she used to be but at least early in her career she made it a point to balance her pretentiousness with a healthy dose of self deprecation. I don't buy this whole thing of Gaga playing a character to entertain the public, I think she's playing it because she actually thinks she looks cool. Does she not realize how fast her whole act is going to grow stale? She's one album into her career and these are the kind of interviews and videos shes giving us? Dumbass. I officially can't stand her.

  4. its not had to figure that out. its the "angel" vs "devil" here; the angel being angelina. fuck, even her name says it. i wish she and brad would just go away for a few years. i cant stand all the positivity, gushing, cant do no wrong attitude towards them. its pure discrimination to madonna; heck, they even call their adopted kids by their last name and theyre not even married. they still call david "david banda" its all in the details.. and it seems that this is an image the press wants to create of her, the image we now see of people walking down the street, or queuing in a line to buy a magazine... they got exactly what they want, another american sweetheart and the american devil.

Why are you so fixated on this Angelina VS. Madonna thing? Madonna will never be america's sweetheart. She has no chance in hell given the way her career has panned out and the way she has manipulated the media for so long. I don't even want her to be america's sweetheart, fuck that. That's not who she is.

And the only people who gush about Angelina & Brad are entertainment reporters. B+A are in the tabloids on a weekly basis with negative stories continuously written in hopes that the two will split up. Not only that, their children are written about as well, always with a negative headline following them. Trust me, I have to look at these magazines DAILY. And most people I talk to hate Angelina. Granted, its never for valid reasons, but so many women hate her. Usually its because "OH SHES A HOMEWRECKER!" or "OMG SHE'S SKINNY" or "OMG I CANT STAND HER CHARITABLE FAKENESS" And guess what that sounds like? The same criticisms people have been saying about Madonna for years. Most gossip blogs are fully ready to give Angelina a reaming as well. So I think you're overexaggerating. Angelina is overexposed in the way that we're always seeing her on some red carpet at some event, but people do give her hell. There is no such thing as america's sweetheart these days in hollywood. If you want one, look to American Idol or Michelle Obama.

As for why Madonna was the lowest seller, I think its because of what Glinda said and because Guy Ritchie is way less famous than Midge. All the other rags having the same cover wouldn't affect it at all, if anything it would help it  People magazine tends to always share a similar cover with the trashier mags like Us and Star when a big story breaks. So that's a wimpy excuse. I think its primarily because of Guy's lack of established fame here in the USA.

Was Madonna on the cover of People when the A-Rod scandal broke? If so, I bet that sold way more. No one cares about Madonna's english divorce. Madonna + a baseball player is way more juicy.

  5. I love Heartbeat.

    me too :)

    me too.

    heartbeat is great!

    Me too.

    Heartbeat is great.

i luv heartbeat its a classic!

Heartbeat is perfect meant to sound that way. Geez some peeps!

HEARTBEAT is the timeless Madonna classic from HARD CANDY.

  6. Heartbeat was a piece of embarassing garbage though, with Madonna squawking all over the place. It sounded better with Pharrell singing it for god's sake. This song sounds like a song that would sound better with Madonna singing it, and that's a good sign.

  7. from MadgeTribe:

Here's a new clip of what is supposed to be a demo for the upcoming first single from Madonna's greatest hits collection - Revolver.

The demo is produced by DJ Frank E and sung by Shawna feat. Jackie Boyz.

    I really like it

I really like it! I just hope there are no stupid rappers barking all over it. I hate the sex/killer lyric but its better than having to deal with Lil Fucking Wayne.

  8. I took SEX 2 high school..4 'show & tell' or what do u yanks call it.

It was an all catholic boys school & they were hanging on my every word.

Anyway I got 19.5 out of 20 :wow: The teacher said my delivery was very soulful :chuckle:

The next day everyone wanted a copy of my Erotica cassette... :fag:

    :wow:

What did you talk about? And what pics did you focus on?

  9. Keri: I'm on my best behaviour

    *spreads legs*

    Madonna: I'll return the favour

*generic spread leg / yoga move / squat dance move*

    (Remix)

:rotfl: Complete with her soulful crow vocals of course, as seen in "Heartbeat"

  10. Yeah I don't know that anyone on here has given any sort of hint that they don't want Madonna to work with black people (if that is indeed what was being insinuated in your post Etips). I think people just were worried that Madonna was going to become that embarassing 50 year old mom who hits on her daughter's boyfriend. Ultimately I think a lot of fans were scared of Madonna playing out her mid-life crisis in a very desperate and embarassing way, and working with the practically pubescent Justin Timberlake and the ever-obvious Timbaland was a part of that. Can you blame them? Before American Life, Madonna used to say things like "oh boy, I'm going to have to share radio airplay with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera." A year or two later, she was chasing them around like a soccer mom after her album bombed. Then she started wearing leotards, making videos like "Sorry," and calling up Timabaland. Like I said, it's not really that hard to understand why people were up in arms about it. The people who weren't up in arms about it seemed to be those who really had an investment in Madonna's chart success and applauded the idea. But for those who weren't interested in that, it was different. When rumors of Madonna and Lil Wayne swirl around, I don't think of it as Madonna "trying new things," I think of it as yet another attempt of hers to crack the youth market who has done nothing but laugh and wave her off for the last six years. And yes, it would have been way different if she had called up The Roots or Common. What 16 year old listens to them? Then you have Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and Lil Wayne - two men that every 16 year old probably has on their iPod. What we used to call "crafty business" now just looks like a desperate middle aged woman. That is, if any of this is even true.

  11. Madonna is an icon, but frankly, even she need to keep her relevance in this fast moving, youth obsessed industry. She's not an alternative singer, she was always about Pop in one way or another.

What's the use if she makes an ass of herself? More and more I think this Lil Wayne thing is just bullshit, but think for a second. Madonna is going to be 51 this year. Her last hit was a year ago and she's managed to not ONCE leave the spotlight since then. All Madonna needs to do is release (decent) music and she will be relevant. Gossipers are more interested in her than ever now. She doesn't need #1 singles, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Britney, Miley... WHATEVER to keep herself from turning into a boring housewife. She'll be touring until she's 60 - 9 years from now. At that point, what are you going to expect from Madonna? She'll be a senior. Her feeling the pressure of having to have hits at an age where most celebrities drift into obscurity will just make her age as ungracefully as all the people we make fun of on here; Marrah Carrah, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson.
