    heartbeat is great!

    Me too.

    Heartbeat is great.

i luv heartbeat its a classic!

Heartbeat is perfect meant to sound that way. Geez some peeps!

HEARTBEAT is the timeless Madonna classic from HARD CANDY.

  2. Heartbeat was a piece of embarassing garbage though, with Madonna squawking all over the place. It sounded better with Pharrell singing it for god's sake. This song sounds like a song that would sound better with Madonna singing it, and that's a good sign.

  3. from MadgeTribe:

Here's a new clip of what is supposed to be a demo for the upcoming first single from Madonna's greatest hits collection - Revolver.

The demo is produced by DJ Frank E and sung by Shawna feat. Jackie Boyz.

    I really like it

I really like it! I just hope there are no stupid rappers barking all over it. I hate the sex/killer lyric but its better than having to deal with Lil Fucking Wayne.

  4. I took SEX 2 high school..4 'show & tell' or what do u yanks call it.

It was an all catholic boys school & they were hanging on my every word.

Anyway I got 19.5 out of 20 :wow: The teacher said my delivery was very soulful :chuckle:

The next day everyone wanted a copy of my Erotica cassette... :fag:

    :wow:

What did you talk about? And what pics did you focus on?

  5. Keri: I'm on my best behaviour

    *spreads legs*

    Madonna: I'll return the favour

*generic spread leg / yoga move / squat dance move*

    (Remix)

:rotfl: Complete with her soulful crow vocals of course, as seen in "Heartbeat"

  6. Yeah I don't know that anyone on here has given any sort of hint that they don't want Madonna to work with black people (if that is indeed what was being insinuated in your post Etips). I think people just were worried that Madonna was going to become that embarassing 50 year old mom who hits on her daughter's boyfriend. Ultimately I think a lot of fans were scared of Madonna playing out her mid-life crisis in a very desperate and embarassing way, and working with the practically pubescent Justin Timberlake and the ever-obvious Timbaland was a part of that. Can you blame them? Before American Life, Madonna used to say things like "oh boy, I'm going to have to share radio airplay with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera." A year or two later, she was chasing them around like a soccer mom after her album bombed. Then she started wearing leotards, making videos like "Sorry," and calling up Timabaland. Like I said, it's not really that hard to understand why people were up in arms about it. The people who weren't up in arms about it seemed to be those who really had an investment in Madonna's chart success and applauded the idea. But for those who weren't interested in that, it was different. When rumors of Madonna and Lil Wayne swirl around, I don't think of it as Madonna "trying new things," I think of it as yet another attempt of hers to crack the youth market who has done nothing but laugh and wave her off for the last six years. And yes, it would have been way different if she had called up The Roots or Common. What 16 year old listens to them? Then you have Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and Lil Wayne - two men that every 16 year old probably has on their iPod. What we used to call "crafty business" now just looks like a desperate middle aged woman. That is, if any of this is even true.

  7. Madonna is an icon, but frankly, even she need to keep her relevance in this fast moving, youth obsessed industry. She's not an alternative singer, she was always about Pop in one way or another.

What's the use if she makes an ass of herself? More and more I think this Lil Wayne thing is just bullshit, but think for a second. Madonna is going to be 51 this year. Her last hit was a year ago and she's managed to not ONCE leave the spotlight since then. All Madonna needs to do is release (decent) music and she will be relevant. Gossipers are more interested in her than ever now. She doesn't need #1 singles, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Britney, Miley... WHATEVER to keep herself from turning into a boring housewife. She'll be touring until she's 60 - 9 years from now. At that point, what are you going to expect from Madonna? She'll be a senior. Her feeling the pressure of having to have hits at an age where most celebrities drift into obscurity will just make her age as ungracefully as all the people we make fun of on here; Marrah Carrah, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson.

  8. I don't get Lil Wayne. I've never "gotten" that type of music. Eminem, Lil Wayne, Lil Jon, 50 Cent, Akon... it all sounds like guidette club music to me.

I prefer Kanye, which says a lot because I openly hate the guy. But at least he makes an attempt to advance the genre. Same with MIA. That's what hip hop is to me, its not always something you're in the mood to listen to, but its agressive and interesting and sexy. The aforementioned people just sound like trash.

  9. Hahahaha.

Btw, imagine if this thread were about Madonna & Katy Perry? I wonder if it would have been more positive or way worse. I'm gonna go with way worse.

I like Katy Perry :shy: SEE? I have no problem admitting when I have questionable taste. It's just the thought of Madonna pussypopping with Lil Wayne scares me too much, it was already scary enough with Justina in 4 Minutes.

  10. Lil Wayne may be THE RAGE right now, and he may be a funny interview, but come on, he is our post-recession answer to 50 Cent and Eminem. But I'm sure people who love a collaboration with them too, after all, it COULD GO #1!!!!!1one!

  11. Yeah, all in all I just don't want Madonna to age as ridiculously as her contemporaries. If she wants to continue wearing leotards and looking like a pro-athlete, I support that. I LOVE that - as long as she's doing it in defiance rather than doing it to be sexy or turn on the dudes (I choose to believe the former despite mounting evidence toward the latter). But she's showing major symptoms of a mid-life crisis with the choices she's made in the past few years, and because I AM A FAN, I want her to continue being a cool chick and being in touch with you know, reality. After all, we all laughed our asses off at Michael Jackson when he decided to go make music with WILL.I.AM, how do you think it looks to people outside of this forum when they see "NEW SINGLE! Lil Wayne Feat. Madonna - My Sex Is Killa!"

    REALLY?

  12. Lately?! Gee, I think she's been coming across as increasingly desperate since Ray of Light, myself. But that hasn't prevented her from still coming up with the goods most of the time.

Just because Lil Wayne is more popular than her at the moment shouldn't automatically signal desperation, though. I'm just hoping that if this is true, it's not another "Me against the music" situation. Now that was truly mortifying. For me, her working with Lil Wayne is no more or less laughable than her working with Stuart Price. Or Timbaland. Or Neptunes. Or Nile Rodgers, for that matter. All are very well respected pop craftsmen.

And the idea of her and Lil Wayne is a hell of a lot more interesting and exciting a proposition to me than her and...Paul Oaknefold.:lol:

In any case, we'll just have to wait and see.

The point I was lazily trying to make is that Madonna is more and more coming across like someone who is just grabbing onto whoever is young and "hitworthy" to keep herself relevant. I know Moe was trying to say that she's always been that way, but I don't think so. I think it was just easier for her to have success before, regardless of who she worked with. She was younger and less concerned with her expiration date running out, so she could do something like Erotica one day, then do Bedtime Stories the next, then Ray Of Light. She could have done a song with Spice Girls. She could have done an Alanis duet. She could have made a song with Hootie & The Blowfish. But she didn't.

2003 rolls around and she's singing with Britney. Then she's with Missy Elliott. THen Timabaland, then Justin, then Pharrell. Now Lil Wayne? Who's next, Miley Cyrus?

People here will throw every name at me in the book for saying this, but I truly feel like the woman is scared to death of getting old. And of course people will say "SHES STILL TAKING RISKS!!!" and tell me that they hope I'm not a fan anymore after this. Yeah, thanks a lot. What risk is there collaborating with Lil Wayne? By default its going to get a bunch of attention. Lil Wayne is huge right now, and Madonna is still an A-lister. It's not rocket science. That's like saying Me Against The Menopause was an artistic leap for her. Yeah. Look, I'm tired of arguing with people on here about how I feel about Madonna; all I will say is that I have a ton of respect for her and it just looks retarded when she shacks up with people like Justin Timberlake or Lil Wayne. Not only does it look like she's trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes by saying "LOOK, I CAN BE YOUNG AND WITH IT!" but its also like she's settling for being a businesswoman when it comes to her music and not pushing herself. I love Midge and I want to see her do interesting things, and Lil Wayne is the anti-thesis of that. He's just a joke to me. If she wanted to go hip hop again, fine, why doesn't she ask Kanye West to do something with her again? Beat Goes On was a pleasant surprise. Why not MIA? Santogold? People who actually PUSH the genre into the 21st century. Lil Wayne gets a lot of hype but he's just like Eminem in my eyes. A clown.

AND FOR THE RECORD, I think Paul Oakenfold is a crap choice too. I know zero about DJ Frank E. (And the above was all written assuming this song is real)

  13. yet again

brit loon laughing at other loons

    how predictable

What does that have to do with anything? He's just as much a Midge loon as he is a Britney one. It is pretty laughable that she's collaborating with Lil Wayne. The woman is coming across so desperate lately. And its not easy for me to say that, believe me.
