I asked you kindly to let it go, but you're being a child and going off topic for some attention. Just. STOP.

It wasn't for attention, I'm just trying to get you to loosen up. It's not personal. I'm trying to get you to actually enjoy the ride for once. But I will stop. sorry.

Reading on another music forum that there are three songs with pure vocals and that she sings with her Evita voice on one song?!?!

I didn't;t hear any Evita but I guess the closest thing to that is Looking For Mercy

Crave, I Rise, and Crazy are probably the only song from memory that have un-tinkered vocals.

that's the plan, according to an insider. that's why they're comparing albums already when no one asked for it.

    What plan?

You're always so doomsday and panicked about everything. So what if she gets #2. Count your blessings. You guys care way too much about silly crap like this. Newsflash, people have been frantically writing nasty think pieces about Madonna since the 1980s. Madonna's polarizing reputation is baked in. The only time she sort of won the Miss Congeniality contest was maybe in the late 90s/very early 2000s. Since then it's been the same thing. Madonna is this, Madonna is that. Sometimes she makes it out pretty unscathed (COADF, Hard Candy), other times it's a bit of a disaster (Rebel Pork). Life goes on.

The LA Times review probably won't count. If it does, whatever.

I love Rebel Heart but MX is another different dimension. It would be like comparing Bedtime Stories toe ROL.

You're right. It's like a totally different woman. Rebel Heart was very vulnerable, insecure and sensitive. Madame X is hostile and PISSED. In a really effective, intense way.

This album is soooooooooo good, mature and ... Waow. After MDNA and Rebel Heart. Finally something with true inspiration !

Mature is a great word for this album 👍 And not in a Barbra Streisand type of way. Madame X is a smart album... such a welcome moment after the hodge-podge frantic cheesy mess of the last one

These reviews have me so excited as well as the reviews from forum members.  But doesn’t it irk me that virtually every one has a typo or error.  Extreme Occidental?  For fuck’s sake, I meticulously edit the newsletter at my place of work to assure no errors, and these are paid journalists.

I'm telling you, the social media era has made ppl so fucking lazy

I found publications valid for Metacritic here https://www.metacritic.com/browse/albums/publication/name/v

    Fabulous!

I think this will remain in the 70s, not that it really fucking matters :rotfl:Metacritic is a pretentious website that immature gay Stans go to for pissing contests. I REALLY fucking hate Stan culture. These faggots out here stanning for bullshit ppl like Halsey or fucking Taylor Swift like they're revolutionary women :lmao: Having a decently reviewed Madonna album is icing on the cake, particularly after she got savaged for 6 years straight after all her social media dustups (I maintain that critics use Madonna's awkward internet usage as a reason to dump on her art tbh, they're literally just searching for reasons)

  8. Yeah I don't wanna be too hard on Loca. It's fun. It's like the Spanish Lesson of the album. Obviously a playful little moment. And her and Maluma have chemistry like you wouldn't believe

Honestly thats the thing about Madame X... even the weaker songs are still really great. UGH I AM IN LUV

Killers is one of my fav tracks on the album! THE track on the album that cements the Lisbon and Portuguese influences in the most amazing soundscape and production! The lyrics are abrasive but for a very specific reason! Irony is her brand!

Perhaps. The music on that song is flawless. Madonna neutered it with her lyrics. Just my take. The lyrics elsewhere on the album are nothing short of brilliant. God Control, I Don't Search. Every album has a lyrical clunker. Shame it had to be that 1.

It's the same thing as rebel heart, she could have put a well reviewed album together, but when you throw things on there that everyone hates like killers, they have to take points off

I actually kinda agree with this. I think the deluxe edition crap is really unnecessary too.

make a 12 song album and call it a day. Or at least recognize when stuff like Mercy belongs on the album instead of Killers or Loca
