Can someone explain to me why Rebel Heart's tour bundle did so poor?
I remember some people weren't able to redeem their copies? MDNA did 180,000 tour bundle copies in its first week, Rebel Heart did like 10,000 copies. I know RH had less dates on sale and wasn't instantly sold out like MDNAT, but still...the difference is drastic. Fuck her incompetent team.

ANOTHER FUCKING SKINCARE AD…
There has been so much exciting news regarding upcoming new music and you were nowhere to be found in such discussions, and yet when there is negativity you were the first one to jump out with these big ass texts in the instagram thread....and now I'm seeing it again here....

I wouldnt call EDM disco either but my point is wouldnt Madonna use the term disco loosely as to say dance? Mirwais sound has always been strong on dance/electronica. He used a few elements from Disco in some of his works but overall his sound is electronic dance.
I see what you mean. It's just that the studio clip we hear from last week sounds very disco (in its literal sense) in hindsight, which is why I brought it up again in this thread.

Always thought of Disco as the mother of Dance and Dance being the mother of EDM. Of course the purists would say its different here and there and theres certain songs associated more to the disco sound of the 70’s but wasnt Disco the only kind of dance music back then?
Modern dance music indeed evolved from disco music but I don't think I've seen anyone using "disco" to describe modern EDM?
"Disco" is an archaic term that is strongly tied to the 70s sound and EDM has evolved too much for it to still be considered "disco".

Isn’t Disco basically Dance which is now known as EDM?
Don't you think the clip above sound a bit Nile Rodgers? I'm referring to the classic 70s "disco" sound.
I'm probably reaching for the stars though! But the first second I saw her instagram post, it instantly reminds me of the studio audio from last week!

session 3? Anyone know how many sessions she usually does?
Just to connect the dots here, this is the filtered audio from one of the recent studio session clips, which also screams disco.

Besides Starrah, Billboard and Mirwais im sure there are more people involved.
So far it looks like her instagram is following all the collaborators: Billboard, Starrah, Mirwais, Lauren D'Elia .
The only other songwriters/producers she has followed recently are the Henrys (Joe & Levin) so they are possible contributors to the project.
Other musicians she has recently followed are Nicki Minaj/Cardi B/Quavo, the latter two whom she met at the Oscars afterparty but we have no idea if they did anything together.
So no, I don't think she's working with many other songwriters or producers, unless she's being intentionally secretive (which is VERY unlikely, she shares everything these days)

If every session is a demo, we are halfway to the release. I think HT has 7 demos
That’s not how things work.

we all assumed, or some suggested that she was secretly working on the album for months, since okt last year. when it turns out (guessing) she had a week in january with starrah/billboard and now a full week with mirwais in lisbon. i'm guessing the #soon actually won't mean we get the record in summer.....maybe fall or spring 19
She was not secretly working on the album for months...she HAS been working on the album for months.....

Tribal Disco genre confirmed. Her next magnum opus is coming.

Does anyone not like the title "Beautiful Game"? It sounds (to me) very trying-to-be-deep. Like a track off of Katy Perry's Witness.
It just doesn't have that simple yet iconic ring to it like "Hung Up" or "Get Together" or even "Celebration"

That was one of the directions of the album Rebel Heart but it got lost among the unapologetic message and the sexual tracks.
I know right? I’ve always thought she completely missed the mark with the framing of Rebel Heart’s theme. They should’ve promoted it as a career-spanning retrospective album since all the songs are there for such narrative, even with those rebel songs. The album has a very nostalgic and apocalyptic vibe with a lot of references of her legacy, vulnerability, contemplation on decay and death but for some reason she simply just saw it as a “half romantic, half naughty” album...I’d love her to fully explore the concepts of Joan of Arc and the Iconic video of RHT which did feel undercooked last time.

I’m just gonna say it like this
I feel that she’s gonna start (again/finally) a new music trend. We are going to love the album, and it will still be relevent in 10-20 years.
Experimental Underground DJ? Check
Limited number of producers? Check
Electronic music? Check
Portguese influence? Check
She’s been doing exactly what certain fans have been asking for since 2008 and giving the gays everything they want. I better not see another complaint before any music is released.

I'm starting to think the new album will be more like Bedtime Stories 2.0 than American Life 2.0...
Why does it have to be 2.0 of anything? Since when has she repeated herself? The only albums that sound remotely similar to each other are Music and AL.

Wow so she actually invited them to the studio! With the involvement of Mirwais and all these Portuguese (and African?) influences, this album is shaping up to be very sonically unique!

Based on all the hints we’ve got I think the big album concept will be an anti-patriarchy statement through historical references of witch hunt/Joan of Arc/burning women at the stake type of stories, a continuation of the Iconic video for RHT.

Funny how we've seen that wig for months and it only takes one person's opinion for other negative comments to keep rolling in, when some of you was never seen in this thread before. How about we wait to see the context and purpose of this look and how it will translate in film/photoshoot?
So predictable.

Will this be Madonna's Graceland?

I can see this being a brand new album with an identity of its own.
Just like every Madonna album.

Are we finally getting that fadotronic album?

No one here is worshipping Warner. We want them back simply because the support she received back then was a lot when COMPARED to her current Interscope situation. They always know how to launch a new era with a killer lead single promo campaign. Yes they were pretty shitty at keeping an album’s commercial longevity but it also had to do with M too. Are we now blaming Erotica and AL’s commercial failure on Warner too? Really?
