  1. Even comparing Eastern Germany to Western Germany, the contrast is striking.

I do see GU's point though, both the government and the people living in the Eastern Bloc countries did not take proper care of their land, their cities, their industries. When you don't own anything and you don't see the results of your hard work, you start to half-ass things. Who knows where those countries would be now if it wasn't for the Soviet regime. As far as I am aware, Eastern Germany used to have all the plants and the factories back in 1940's, yet here we are...

And yes, Karby, it's so sad to see people living in poverty most of their lives, then being given hope for a better future only to end up being tossed aside once again.

  2. Surely if they're genuinely seeking refuge they'd stay wherever they're safe?

THANK YOU. If you're truly trying to escape the terror of war, you can't be too picky.

They are seeking a new life. And you don't look for a new life in countries with no social help, salaries lower han 200 Euro

You know I love you Karby, but this is bullshit. There are millions of people, in Europe too, who get 200 Euro a month or even less. If you're not satisfied with it, you are free to go look for a better life, but don't expect to get special treatment. You're either trying to save your life (and in this case, you don't need to travel all the way to Sweden) and looking for economical opportunities (which is fine, but no one OWES you that). Hundreds of million of people would be happy to get 200 Euro a month. My mom lives in Russia, people get like 80 Euro a month there - teachers, engineers, scientists - and you don't see them marching all the way to Stockholm.

  3. I don't think today's event will deter Madonna. There was a terrorist threat warning issued by the US Embassy before her concert in Russia but Madonna still carried on and defended LGBT rights in the concert.

I believe you are talking about the MDNA Tour show. Extremists also said they were going to shoot her once she gets on the cross back in 2006 (also in Russia). She did it anyway.

  4. I'm kind of sad she didn't sing WTG 'cause that's like my favourite 80's song, but at the same time, the show is SO good I couldn't ask for more.

The 80's medley was absolutely necessary but it's far from a crowd pleaser ala Deeper And Deeper or Material Girl. It's a lot like Open Your Heart with the Kalakan Trio; something you enjoy for its artistic value not for nostalgic reasons/familiarity.

  5. What was the Guy R diss?

She was wondering if it was right to marry the guy in the audience so soon and said, 'but then again, I hardly knew my previous husband' or something to that effect.

There was also a guy with an inflatable banana near the catwalk, she noticed and said 'I'm getting married... But to whom? Hopefully someone with a big banana'. Ha.

  6. OK this is seriously her best show yet. Nothing seems forced, even the hits. I mean, I was getting my life to Music and La Isla Bonita and I've been over these two for a while. The show's been like a journey for me: I cried a little when I saw her facing us during Iconic; laughed at her banter (she said she didn't even have the time to do her nails and showed us her 'ugly nails', ha) and her Guy Ritchie diss... The setlist is absolutely perfect; the first and the last sections are to die for, I hope she continues to reinvent Candy Shop 'cause it seems to get better every time, ha. Oh, and the dancers are HOT. So much beauty it danger, basically.

I woke up and now I'm missing her. She can't stop, not now!
