Give me all your love
all your hugs and kisses too
Give me all your love
don't let up until we're through

Well said!
I think it could look like this:
Madonna - MPowered
1. Mpowered
2. All Your Love [featuring M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj] (instead of "Give Me All Your Love")
3. Never Bring Me Down
4. Control (reworked version of "Animal")
5. Guns and Roses (Song about her and Guy Ritchie)
6. Runaway
7. No Gravity
8. SelfPortrait
9. Rebirth
10. Dusk Till Dawn
11. Fountain of Youth
12. Los Amantes
13. Pala Tute (I have a feeling that it's going to be on the album)
Those are just random titles that came to my mind but I think if it kind of looks like this it could be a really good album.

No, nothing to hide. Just greedy.
I doubt the musical guest is St. Vincent. She is not a household name and probably just contributed to songwriting. I would say it could be either Timberlake (for "4 Minutes") or maybe even Lenny Kravitz on guitar again before I would venture St. Vincent.
Please...NOT Lenny Kravitz!

I think that would be a bad idea. I used to want Madonna to do more of a rock/indie sound because I love that kind of music, but now I realize that really isn't her. She's dance in her heart. The indie rock thing would be ill fitting on her, just like if a rock indie artist tried to go all dance. Dance doesn't have to be just generic club thumping music. It can still be interesting and innovative. Why are so many people against her doing a dance sound? How can you be a Madonna fan and not enjoy dance to some extent? I like pop/dance, just not the hard thumping house/techno type of remixes. I'm okay with a dance record as long as she keeps the pop aspect and doesn't go too hard on the beats.
I agree. We all saw what happened when Madonna moved away from dance/pop.The result was an album (American Life) which alienated many fans.I'd rather that she sticks to what she does best: fun, catchy dance/pop.
-
She will have to (have guest artists) now if she wants her first single to be a mega-smash. It's not like the old days where a Madonna first single is immediately a runaway hit. I remember her saying she didn't like duets or collabs but times change as she gets older.
Exactly.I pointed this out in the other thread: a new Madonna single in 2012 *without* a "hot" guest artist probably won't become a hit,at least not in America.Radio stations would ignore it.I know it's frustrating but that's the way it is nowadays. She needs a HUGE first single to launch this project,so she's gotta pull out all the stops.A hot new dance single with Nicki Minaj, being performed on the Super Bowl.....there's no way she could fail.
-
I bet that this is gonna be one of the most-watched SuperBowl performances of all time.
-
I like MPowered!
Me too! It's a cool title that signifies that she is now in complete control and ready to take on the world.
-
Hopefully it sounds nothing like Hard Candy.
It won't.Madonna NEVER makes the same album twice. She isn't Janet Jackson or Mariah Carey
-
I rather not. It seems with 'leaks' it spoils the whole feel of listening to a new album the first time in it's true sequence and/or format. Of course, I am just as guilty in wanting to hear the new work right away. Also, I'm right there downloading the leaks, but it looses impact quickly this way. Besides, it's way too early to hear leaks when the album isn't due til March or April. If we hear all the new tracks whether it's a demo or polished track so far advance, the impact of the release would be lost.
I agree. As much as I would love to hear a leak of the new single,I'd rather wait until the right time.
-
I have a feeling this one will be a mixture of Confessions/ROL with tinges of HC thrown in.
This is exactly how I feel. She's gonna combine elements from all three of those albums.

Speaking of "big flippin' Deal!"?? Why can't she collaborate with whomever she likes? Why must it be considered "desperation" when there are far more popular artists than the ones reported she could be working with. I honestly do not think Madonna is sitting around, thinking that collaborating with these two is necessarily going to gain her a #1 hit or even a top ten. She could have easily rang up both Katy Perry and Lady Gaga to collaborate if she really wanted to guarantee a top ten hit. Those two definitely are ruling the charts and radio. Not only that, both have expressed interest in her and Madonna has at least shown interest in Lady Gaga. I hardly find collaborating with M.I.A. and Nicki "desperate" to gain a hit when neither of them have had huge #1 hits if even top ten hits on the pop charts.
Very good point.I don't know why so many people accuse Madonna of being "desperate" just because she features guest artists on her songs.Maybe she truly *likes* these artists and feels that the song would sound even better with their involvement. And like you pointed out,if she was really so concerned with having a big hit single, she would have called up artists who are much more successful than Nikki Minaj and M.I.A. (who is basically an underground artist).

the oncoming 13th us no.1 hit ought to delay riri's plan by a little while.
-
I sort of hoped Madonna would blow the world away and release a song so great that US radio couldn't ignore it. But unfortunately that is probably a pipe dream when it comes to US radio.
There is one positive side to this and that is that she is doing ACTUAL promotion with this single. I don't know what the figures are but I imagine the Superbowl is one of the biggest television audiences in the US?
Over 100 million viewers are gonna be watching the SuperBowl. This is a golden opportunity for her to promote the new single. If she releases this song the very next day,she will have a guaranteed Top 10 smash. With Nikki Minaj on the track, there is no way that radio will ignore it,especially in the US.
-
MIA and Nikki = the new Donna and Nikki
if the song works out, maybe she'll take them on tour with her,lol
-
I like MIA and Nikki Minaj. They're both very edgy, bold and unique, just like Madonna. It's a perfect match! Put the three of them on a hot dance track together and it's gonna be explosive! Can't wait to hear the track!!!
-
I'm not very sure i like the idea of having a featuring as first single again...
Look at this way: having a "hot" guest artist will guarantee that the first single gets alot of attention and airplay. It's (almost) a guaranteed Top 10 hit in America. What better way to kick off this new era than with a Top 10 smash song? I'm sure there will plenty of songs on the album with no guest stars, but the first single is important. It HAS to be huge.
-
Madonna has very good lyrics, but her best songs aren't specially relevant lyrically. Into the Groove, Everybody, Music, Hung Up... are lyrically "weak" but wonderful. So if the lyrics leak and the chorus is like "Give me all your love/ I can't get enough/ Give me all i need/ I can set you free" there's no reason to panic.
I agree. Most of her biggest hit singles do not have deep lyrics anyway.
-
And let's be honest,folks....
It's very likely that 'W.E.' won't make a big splash in America. The reviews have been mixed. So,the focus will soon turn to the new album. She needs for this album to be HUGE! If having Nikki Minaj on the first single will help,I say it's a wonderful idea.I want Madonna back in the Top 10.
-
I don't care about featuring as long as the end product is great and comes from her vision. Justin Timberlake didn't make 4M a big hit. In fact, his other featured songs thereafter tanked... The song smashed coz people liked it.
Plus, she does not do this often.
All she needs is a little more attention in the US by featuring with some current Hot acts. Then let the song speak for itself...
I agree...I have no problem with 'special guests' on the song as long as it's a great track to begin with.If this song is amazing and Madonna releases it the day after the Super Bowl, she will have a guaranteed Top 10 smash. This is a smart move on her part. She's bringing out the heavy artillery! This is a new era,she wants it to be big.
-
And even having a big hit lead single won't impact a second single if it's just Madonna- see the last album.
The promotion for the last album was all wrong. If Madonna had chosen "Beat Goes On" as the second single, things would have been much different.Hopefully, this time around, she won't make that same mistake again.

'Over The Top'
-
I bet the performance is gonna be amazing!! Totally wild and over-the-top.Madonna's gonna pull out all the stops.I think we're in for a real treat.
-
This news has just been reported on Nikki Minaj's official website and it clearly states that Madonna will perform her new single "Give Me All Your Love" featuring Nikki and MIA,at the Super bowl.
