  1. Oh for goodness sake! If you hadn't noticed by now, Madonna is the most resilient pop star the world has ever seen. She can adapt to anything and is a perceptive and shrewd businesswoman. Harvard business students could learn a thing or two from her. The truth of the matter is, given the fickle nature of audiences in general, no solo pop star has ever lasted this long (into her fifties so far) and stayed at this consistently high level on a global scale.

MJ (God Bless MJ!!) could have done it, but as we all have sadly seen, he was as much a victim of his fame as he was the creator of it. Ditto for Elvis. Prince could have done it, but even though his creative output is still strong, he's lost his relevance in the mainstream. Janet, no offense to her fans (and I love me some old-school Janet), can't stop referring to her holy vagina in every album since "The Velvet Rope". Her recent albums have been a shallow, hollow shell of what it brilliantly used to be. She could definitely have done it. (I'm still holding out for something special from her if she could just leave her damn vagina out of it.)

Don't EVEN get me started on Whitney. Ugh. Now Mariah, she's gonna come back, but let's face it, her amazing voice, some great music, and slammin' body (I'm gay btw.) are all she ever offers up these days. She's not the cultural heavy hitter and live performer that Madonna is. Britney? She could become massively huge (even bigger than Mother Monster I dare say) if she actually tried, but she's been phoning it in for a while now.

Madonna is walking into uncharted territory. How does someone who is also a woman continue to be a global phenomenon well into middle age and beyond? NOBODY else has done it at this level yet. So far, companies and whole corporations are still forking up MILLIONS of dollars (on a 53 year old woman!) to make her star shine bright. Stadiums AND arenas around the world get sold out for her shows. After eleven albums, her next album is the most anticipated one of 2012.

SHE IS WRITING THIS STORY. She's been writing it all along.

Could we all just chill the fuck out? Sit back. Enjoy the music. Go to her shows, and lose ourselves in every blissful moment.

If you hadn't figured it out by now, she knows EXACTLY what she's doing. If you look back at her legacy, she plays every success and every misstep to her advantage. This is still her playground. No matter what happens, she will come out on top in the end. History will repeat itself. It always has.

    POST OF THE YEAR!

  2. The single sounds like a mess. It's like she forgot about quality control which is incredible for someone

who until recently has managed every part of her career so carefully. Didnt she learn anything from the mess

that was Hard Candy. Most of her fans don't want to hear rappers in a Madonna song.

To me,nearly every song on Hard Candy sounds better than GMAYL.

  3. The album still has no title. I was told M, Mirror and MADONNA were all being thrown around. 30 years is a long time, new record label, and the first release with Live Nation...why not just MADONNA? This time around the idea was to wait until all artwork was complete before deciding on a title...we don't want Hard Candy/Give It 2 Me round 2. I've been told 19 tracks were recorded, some with producers who haven't been mentioned, and others who have denied their involvement. The project is very secretive. 14-15 are meant for release, with the others possibly being a bonus of some sort. William Orbit is overseeing the main sound, just as Stuart Price did with Confession On A Dance Floor. There are multiple producers, and I've been told that even from that 4 song CD I mentioned earlier, GMAYL is the weakest track of the 4. It is a different sound for Madonna, mainstream and great for a performance...but not her best. The album features all Madonna vocals, including background. There was rumor of Donna and Nicki making an appearance, not true. Orbit has drawn out Madonna's voice similar to that of Ray of Light and Music. Masterpiece is an indication of the vocal production. Only Nicki Minaj is on the album a second time.

She already had an album titled 'Madonna'! Why repeat herself? If she needs help finding a title for the album, she should visit the "Choose an album title" thread that we have in this forum

  4. Does anyone else think it is weird we haven't gotten a confirmed release date for the album yet? I don't think we have ever had the first video is shot BEFORE we knew the release date of the album.

Also, if "GMAYL" is coming out in January, by Madonna's previous patterns, it would suggest a February album launch, yes? Maybe she is switching it up this time and releasing a buzz single and then the second single launches the album?

I hope so.It's time for Madonna to try a new strategy.Releasing a "buzz single" is a smart move. Then she can follow it up with the 'real' first single.

  5. Apparently the first song on the album is Masterpiece.

It will have 14 tracks and two bonus tracks on deluxe edition

Gimme all your love will supposedly be released to radio later in December.

She will begin photoshoots next week.

Girls Gone Wild has Like a Prayer album elements.

Commercials for the Superbowl begins in January

The new look is between virgin tour and blonde ambition

And finally as we already know Megaforce will direct and it will be filmed in late December and early January

I think it would be cool for Madonna to open the album with a ballad.Start things off slow, then bring on the uptempo stuff....kinda like the way she did with ROL.
