  1. It wouldn't have mattered much because Mariah is a shit performer who has zero stage presence.

Celine and Barbra Streisand are the only "divas with voices" that live sound as great as in their CDs. Mariah and Whitney do NOT!!!! Not now, not even back in their hey day. Celine can release a record every few years and have decent sales and tour and make a lot of money. She can do this for the rest of her life. I'm not Celine's crowd but what she has accomplished as performer and artist is remarkable.

  2. Madonna isn't doing well at the moment. To bring her back to the forefront she'd need to do something outstanding and unique.

David Guetta may be doing well having currently popular artists sing on his songs. But production wise, its generic. Nothing unique, fresh or interesting.

Production is actually very important, it makes or breaks a good song. Celebration is the best example of that.

I'd like to see Madonna do something really memorable and exciting. David Guetta has been doing dance songs like 'When Love Takes Over' for many many years already.

    Exactly.

Anything with David Guetta, Akon or BEP now would be the same as working with Timbaland a couple of years ago. Too obvious and overdone. And whoever says we are negative obviously doesnt know what goes on with music these days.

  3. Why is that awful taylor swift nominated? i thought she was a country singer, not saying that kind of music shouldnt be recognized in an awards show, but then why not add classical and opera music? its only fair.

That awful Taylor Swift sold more records this year than anybody else. More than MJ and Lady Gaga. That alone should make her deserving grammy nominations on all major categories. I mean, hey, if Beyonce is nominated for Halo why shouldn't Taylor be nominated for her watered down country-pop songs? I dont like her music but she's a sweet girl, she plays the guitar, writes her own songs and she's only 19. I'm ok with her nominations. She deserves them.

  4. I really do hope that Mimi ends up at No.3 for her new album. It will be her lowest charting for a studio album since "Emotions" back in 1991 (not counting "Glitter", of course). The lambs must be in complete meltdown. Mimi's new, lead single missing the top 5 and her new album missing the top 2! LOL!!

Charmbracelet opened and peaked at No 3 .. but noone really remembers (or everyone wants to forget) that CD. LOL!

  5. Once again Madonna looks stunning!! Totally blown away, i just loved he rhair like that, full of body and just hot! I too wish she had mad emore out of her apprearence looking the way she did...maybe just i dunno...something album related woulda been great!!

Yeah, will she ever talk about her music again? And she did look hot but not all that confortable with the whole thing ... but we shouldnt complain. We were asking for some TV appearances and we got 2 this week.

  6. He explained: "They admire you and know you are wonderful and great because they are jealous, because they wish they were in your shoes. Madonna is one of them. She is jealous. She is a girl, a woman and I think that's what bothers her. I think women don't scream for other women. Men are too cool to scream for women. I get the fainting and adulation and she doesn't."

Ok he actually has a point here. He was too self absorbed to see the bigger picture so he made the point about himself only, but, it is true, Madonna because she is a woman has/had to work much harder to become like Michael Jackson, Paul Mc Cartney, Bono, Mick Jagger, etc. And of course that bothers her and, naturally, she may feel some jealousy.

  7. No. That's just excuse that's convenient for the fans, as it's easy to blame someone.

The problem is that she's singing songs that people want to hear from a young, preferably black hot chick.

If she made something more serious but not preachy and obnoxious she'd have more success in the US.

The same "backlash" would happen if Rihanna suddenly started singing songs fit for Barbra Streisand.

Kids cannot relate to a 51-year-old in skimpy outfits, and more grown up audiences expect something better from Madonna.

Also, and this is very important, Madonna DOES NOT PROMOTE IN THE US. It's a huge market, and she'd have to promote her product. Why the hell would radio play her songs if she doesn't play them herself??

Agreed 100%. No more excuses. Good music + promotion is the answer.

  8. Sorry but this song is GARBAGE. I dont mind it's a britney/lady gaga type of song. On the contrary I wanted her to do something like this. But it's so mediocre, her delivery in it is soooo lazy, and the production just flat, nothing special. Neither this nor Celebration has any of Madonna's magic and she needs to take a break and just f uck Jesus for now and go back and focus on her music later. Seriously. Before this magic is completely gone.

  9. you're nothing but a down-lo lamb - you reek from it lol. Youre "100 percent" WRONG lol- Mimi HAS been promoting Obsessed (Americas got talent isnt promoting)? Maybe you're just concerned cause all of the last performances have been duds and got negative feedback? She's been low -key, cause shes probably ready to crack some ceramic plates - due to the initial lackluster reaction of Obsessed and her recent performances, so she 'frantically' went back into the studio to do some <achem> tweaking lol; NOT becuase the album wasnt already done!

Yep. Mariah has been trying hard to shove her song down our throats but even lambs now it's just not working. Releasing the Foreigner song as next single will be just wrong. Those big 80's ballads could probably work for someone like Carrie Underwood and her audience - but not Mariah.

And I think one of her major problems right now is that she hadnt had a good live performance, to prove she is THE VOICE, in years ...

  10. Celebration remixes are available on masterbeat.com now.

And I dont know what to say, they are just not good. The Oakenfold is blah (the drumline needed to be stronger - its 2009 not 1995), the Benassi is plain boring and the Johny Vicious sounds off key ...

Anyway, if you really want to buy them you can at Masterbeat ...

  11. On the Hot 100, Madonna and Houston had made simultaneous Hot 100 starts twice before. On Aug. 17, 1985, Madonna unveiled the eventual No. 5-peaking "Dress You Up" at No. 36, and Houston debuted at No. 53 with "Saving All My Love for You," which would become her first No. 1.

On Feb. 19, 2000, Madonna arrived at No. 43 with "American Pie," and Houston began at No. 83 with "I Learned From the Best." Again, though Madonna launched at a higher spot, Houston's track would peak higher. The former title reached No. 29, the latter No. 27.

    This is quite interesting :-)

The first time it was with two classics (Dress You Up and Saving All My Love For you), the second time with two respectable but no memorable hits (American Pie and Learned From The Best) ... and the third time with two flops??? But of course it's 25 years later ...

  12. I'm hoping that is the case. It's just not a good sign when it drops so fast from one of the biggest digital outlets.

Madonna and WBR shouldn't have let this happen. Say what you want about touring but the digital market is very important. It can keep her relevant with the younger audiences and the iTunes/iPhone generation. She had build good momentum there with Hung up and 4M and I hope not everything is lost now ...

  13. ^ OH FUCK YES!

Jesus, BEG Madonna to Remake "Justify My Love"

with you In it this time! :wow:

    I love him :inlove:

Now this is a fierce idea!!!!!!!! That would be hot! New remix and new video for the greatest hits CD. And whoever says Jesus is ugly they need to get a better self-esteem. Stop hating bitches! The kid is GORGEOUS!

  14. i luv it i want the full version NOW

I love it too!!! Real "hip-hop" may not be everybody's cup of tea but as music has an edge! And I think Madonna could do something really good with it.

    I hope it's true.

And let the haters want some irrelevant Pat Leonard re-hash or, even worse, some Pet Shop Boys produced album with watered down Kylie Minogue-style british synth-pop shit! LOL! Girls, please!

  15. I dont see the big deal is. Lil Wayne is really innovative right now in Hip Hop. When Madonna collaborated wit timbaland his sound was getting old.

yeah what's the big deal? If the song is good why does the genre of the song matter all that much? And from the snippet the song sounds pretty good. And Lil Wayne is very talented. If you want Madonna + Pat leonard then you're stuck in the 80's and you need to snap out of it.
