How many songs got to #01 in UK based on downloads alone? I think there is only one... and will be two this Sunday? Is this correct? Does anybody knows this for sure?
i think gnarls berkelys crazy was the first song to do it and since then i'd say about half a dozen other singles have gone to number one on downloads alone, maybe more. it tends to be newer artists though. more established acts usually rely on physical singles to hit the top ten

the midweeks were for mondays sales..hopefully the mixes released today on itunes will boost 4m even further. i was hoping for number 1 next week, now i'm hoping it will be this week!

the radio 1 set is on tv tomorrow night so i think that might help sales this week. is there any chance it will go back to number 1? also theres not much competition in the singles chart so 4 minutes may stick at number 1. although i will find it strange if it becomes madonna's longest running uk number 1!
