    HC is a poor album and no debating is going to erase that point. Candy Shop, Devil Wouldn't Recognize You and Incredible are three of the worst songs Madonna's done in her entire career IMO. The album is shit even if it was a dance album with that material.

    True, but hearing her say "I like to singy, singy, singy/Like a bird on a wingy, wingy, wingy" with her voice autotuned to death overtop "Disco science" on on amphetamines...it's one of those bonkers pop moments that makes life worth living.

    The lion's share of lyrics on American Life, however...

    What does "urban" mean, exactly? And why is it not desirable?

    another way of saying black. I live in atlanta and we have a large black gay population, all of my friends (wich are mostly black) loved hard candy. she brought back some old fans that had not payed attention to her in years and gained some new younger fans. (unfortunatelly most people didn't bother to actually buy the album). It was funny to come on this site and read all the bashing HC got and then run into people that loved the album. It all comes down to what kind of music you enjoy. I know that we all have our oppinions and stuff but some folks on here seem to take it so personal, like she recorded HC to piss them off on purpose...it's not that serious kids, it's just music.

    OMG I'm in my music vault and I found the multitape of the song I produced "Love Hurts" which was never released...

    Can anyone guess who is the artist who I produced it for and who is singing on it....

    I'm actually singing with this artist on this unreleased, never heard before track!

    Memories..I'm still gagging over the song that I found in my vaults that I wrote and produced for her madgesty with her and I singing on it!

    The public never heard it and it is unreleased....

    oh this is a huge treasure...I'm just trying to figure out what to do with it

    it's probably one of the song replacements on the tour... :confused:

    I said that from the first pics we saw... just looks like the sort of pics that come out of those sessions, and she does need to replace the Get Stupid video. My guess would be those pics = Justify My Love.

    That would be real cool. it's funny the reason i thought about the whole W Photoshot as a backdrop is because i was listening to waiting from erotica and thought the W shoot would make a cool vid for this song...

    True fans? So, if you don't like a Madonna song you are not a true fan?

    Bullshit. I'm a Madonna fan since 1984. If I don't like a record of hers, nobody is going to tell me I'm not a true fan. I just don't like it. I don't like the original version of 4M - do you think I'm not a 'true' fan? I think the original mixes of Hollywood and American Life suck too.

    As for the Madonna losing interest, I wonder who leaked it? I know she has dropped people like that Scottish bagpipe player who blabbed about going on tour with her. Perhaps this is another bitch slap to those who have stepped out of line? Or, perhaps it is just hype BS like so much news we hear.

    It's definitely her worst 00's album, and in total, only Bedtime Stories is worse. I haven't listened to the album for months and don't have any desire to do so.

    I have to say that I really lost interest in her during the HC era. I enjoyed S&S but it just couldn't hold a canlde to CT ... but tastes are different

    thats pretty much how it goes. If u hate BS u probably will not be too fond of HC.

    Still listen to it almost everyday. This is the album I have been waiting on since BS, and the type of sound she should have release after Music. The songs really captured that whole old skool pop/R&B/disco from the early eighties perfectly IMO. I really think it all comes down to what type of music you really enjoy. For all the johnnycomelatlies that became fans during ROL, please go back and listen to LAP,JML,Erotica and you'll notice lots of R&b/hiphop influences. hell she spends most of Erotica rappin. To me you can't compare M's albums to each other, they are all so different in sound. I know we all have preferences and (assholes) oppinions but at this point in her career she can do whaever the fuck she wants.
