I have a friend who got to meet and spend time with Madonna as a child (late eighties early nineties) he said she was very maternal and kind. He said that she would snore loudly when she slept though.
Someone else I know says one of his friends was a dancer for Madonna in the nineties. Apparently, Madonna demanded that he go to a party with her in s&m attire and a chain leash. He felt it was demeaning and racist when he saw the only other dancer wearing a leash was black too so he quit right then and there. I wanted to get more info on the story but I was also very annoyed at this person so I shrugged it off with a "everyone knows a guy who knows a guy, dont they?"

Last summer, the costume designer for a show I directed was Michelle Humphreys. She was one of the costume assistants on The Girlie Show (or, the "girly tour" as she referred to it). She designed and built the big cape/skirt thing Madonna wears at the beginning of Justify My Love. In any case, when she outted herself in the middle of a rehearsal, I nearly lost my shit. Details. I wanted details. And she too reported that she was forbidden to look Madonna in the eyes. And she said, "Can you imagine trying to do costume fittings where you are not only forbidden to look the performer in the eyes, but you're also forbidden to speak to her?" Every question and response had to go through the costume designer - even though she (Michelle) was the one making the adjustments to the costume.
Made me love M all the more.

That was Seth. I had forgotten about that, but she related that story during the final pre-show prayer, which is in the end of IGTTYAS. Paul is a different dancer. Like I said, there are photos of Paul on previous pages, and he was also in S&ST in addition to RIT. To my knowledge, Seth was not on a subsequent tour after RIT, but I could be mistaken.
Seth has been doing Broadway. He originated the role of Graffiti Pete in In the Heights and is currently in the summer hit Hamilton -

Forget the dancers - her main security guard on MDNA was everything - every time she was on stage near me in the pit I had to fight not to just stare at him.

A friend of mine who is now a dancer at the MET dated Eagle Eye Cherry for most of the 80s (one hit wonder singer of Save Tonight in the late 90s and sister of Nena Cherry - singer of Buffalo Stance -- a hit in 1989) - anyway, my friend Sara and Eagle Eye frequented the downtown New York clubs in the mid 80s when Madonna still used to go out regularly - they were all grungy village types and everyone hated Madonna because she would show up with an entourage and kill a good club night out - they called her Medusa

Lesbob singer-songwriter cum Madge wannabe Sophie B. Hawkins spent thanksgiving '94 with Madonna - she's a friend of Rosie. She revealed this when she was a guest on awful Scottish music show Chart Bite.
Sophie and Rosie were dating then. Not many people know that.

As I posted in the other thread, the female flamenco dancer and singer are friends of my best friend. They are no longer going on the tour as Madonna decided to hire a male flamenco dancer instead - leading me to believe this footage is from workshops that may not reflect the shape of the tour today.

Madonna's hired a flamenco dancer and singer from Spain - friends of my best friend. Sonia and Ismael - both gypsies. She only dances flamenco and he only sings.

Just search on YouTube - it's there - albeit low quality - it's only about 5 minutes at most - brief human nature and even less of hung up

Love Saves the Day - the East Village thrift store where Madonna famously exchanged her jacket for the sparkly boots in Desperately Seeing Susan closed in January 2009 - but the building remained and was always worth a pilgrimage. The building is no more - as it was one of the buildings destroyed in yesterday's gas explosion.

I had the same problem buying for Brooklyn - runway tickets that were not on the runway according to the chart - so I didn't accept them - and thus, didn't get runway tickets - will try again when new dates are added...
