  1. I was just going to post about that ^. Barbaric!!!!!!!!! It's not a shock, look at the video I posted, just look up Islamic state, heads on fences, kids watching crucifixions, mobiles out watching people die. It's just outrageous, there are no words actually.
  2. I'm sorry to say but these guys have read the Qur'an, they use verses from the Qu'ran to justify their actions from killing infidels to keeping sex slaves (the wives and daughters from the enemies they kill - look up the Yazidi girls). Sorry but it IS there in their religious doctrine, they aren't just associating themselves with Islam for no reason. They are taking these religious texts literally, unlike moderate religious people (most of the world). Sharia Law is gods law to them. Saying Islam is Peace and Terrorism has no religion is like putting our heads in the sand, Islam needs a reformation of sorts, it is a problem when on such a large scale the religious doctrines are being used to kill and torture people.
  3. Boris Johnson is Turkish. I know, forget the referendum, for years he has destroyed lives of the British people. Cuts, cuts cuts from the poorest and those in need... yet it's a bunch of LOLZ.
  4. Most of the Paris Attackers were born in Europe you're right.
  5. 16% is 16% too many. What about Salah Abdeslam who helped organize the Paris attacks? He was in hiding for months and no one reported him. One of the worlds most wanted men, that was crazy. God, where your man was? That reminds me of the New Years Eve Cologne attacks where a couple of men told a security guard that this one girl who they were trying to touch up was 'their wife'. Sorry that happened to you. I am worried about Egypt too. I love Egypt, it's my favourite place I've never been, it's one of the most, if not the most liberal "middle eastern" country, it was a country thriving off of tourism, the british people loved it there throughout the 20th century, it's a shame to see it getting muddled in with this horrific mess. These terrorist twats have totally destroyed many livelihoods. Cairo Museum has taken off their photography ban, perhaps to lure more tourism. But sadly many people are too scared to go there now. (not all of course, those who go say it's fine and not scary, but you can understand why the general public are fearful of North Africa/Middle East). I can't get over the poor Coptic/Christian men beheaded on the beach a couple of years ago in Libya, their blood making the Mediterranean sea red, it was like exodus. It was horrific. The fact that Egyptair crashed recently was not a surprise to me, they haven't said it was a terrorist attack but terrorists already took one plane down in Egypt, so I'd be shocked if this recent one came down on it's own. Lately, I was thinking how if I was to go to Egypt, I'd fly at night to be safer, so the fact that the plane went down at night creeped me out.
  6. The Associated Press Verified account ‏@AP BREAKING: Christian Estrosi, president of the region, says the truck in Nice was loaded with arms and grenades. They had more planned.
  7. This is our life now, you can't go to war with an ideology or a cult.
  8. This is horrific. France: Truck Driver 'Came Out Shooting'A man says he saw a truck driver hit a crowd of revellers and then emerge from the vehicle shooting, leaving "bodies everywhere". An eyewitness to the Nice attack has said he saw a truck driver slam a vehicle into a crowd of revellers and then emerge from the vehicle shooting. Wassim Bouhlel said: "There was carnage on the road. Bodies everywhere." Dozens of people are thought to have been killed around the city's Palais de la Mediterranee, a building that fronts the beach. http://news.sky.com/story/nice-witness-truck-driver-came-out-shooting-10502107 - live news stream
  9. It's ok guys, panic is OVER. Larry is staying. Larry the cat escapes Downing Street eviction Larry the cat is to keep his job - and home - in Downing Street after it was confirmed he would be spared eviction when David Cameron leaves on Wednesday. The furry feline has been a familiar face on the steps outside Number 10's black door since he moved in, in 2011. And the "chief mouser" will stay when Theresa May replaces Mr Cameron as UK prime minister. "It's a civil servant's cat and does not belong to the Camerons - he will be staying," a government spokesman said. The tabby cat, from London's Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, was brought in to Downing Street in 2011 tasked with tackling a rat problem, after a large black rat was seen scuttling past the No 10's front door in the background of a live TV broadcast. Said to have a "strong predatory drive" and enjoy playing with mouse toys, Larry was considered to be well-suited to the post.
  10. The daily mail: Mrs May, who famously has flamboyant footwear, will take over the Government on Wednesday night and will spend the next two days planning her Cabinet appointments.
  11. Clips of the EU big wig speaking in a Brexit debate are going viral online, after he was heard to say aliens were worried about the looming Brexit by the UK from the union. He said, translated from French: "You need to know that those who observe us from afar are worried. "I have have seen, listened and heard many leaders of other planets and they are very worried because they wonder about the course the EU will follow. "So we have to reassure both the Europeans and those who observe us from afar." http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/687350/Did-EU-chief-confirm-aliens-EXIST-Juncker-speaks-of-BREXIT-to-leaders-of-other-planets
  12. I don't think the police were wrong to want to want to question him, he had a rifle and a camouflage t-shirt while people were being shot. Thankfully he turned himself in and was released... he's been all over mainstream news talking of what occurred, and social media has his back as there are thousands of posts about him and his innocence. Now one of the killers has been named hopefully his image will fade and he won't have to put up with finger pointing idiots. It kind of reminds me of that poor girl who was accused of being the suicide bomber in Paris, the photograph of her in the bath was front page news all over the world. Someone just sent her picture to online media outlets and she was completely innocent and horrified.
  13. 14. I don't know what to make of this because it's democracy, and it would be wrong to ignore the public's democratic vote. But this isn't just any election, as the action of leaving itself has to be triggered not by the public but by those in power with the public's decision in mind. I always felt that if the UK voted leave even by a majority landslide, something would prevent it from taking place, so this apparent delay and pussyfooting around is no surprise at all. But we will see. Nigel Farage told George Galloway he is a little bit nervous that the conservative BREXITers are backtracking... (this is a couple of days ago, before we knew Boris was not to run for leadership).
  15. Brexit: LSE expert says EU referendum was a 'draw' and UK exit will not happenBritain may not leave the EU because no prime minister will want to preside over the break-up of the UK which would follow such a move, according to an expert on the UK constitution. Dr Jo Murkens, an associate professor of law at the London School of Economics, said the EU referendum could be interpreted as a 2-2 draw because two of the UK’s four nations - Scotland and Northern Ireland - voted to Remain part of Europe. This means it would be impossible for Britain to leave the EU without it causing the break-up of the United Kingdom, he said. The scholar, an expert in constitutional law as well as Scottish independence, told the Standard: “[brexit campaigners] wanted to take the country back, but there would be no country left if we leave the EU.” Dr Murkens added: “I see no way in which the UK can leave the EU and survive. “I can see no Prime Minister who would want to preside over the break-up of the United Kingdom.” Ahead of last week’s referendum, experts pointed out that victory for Leave campaigners would not necessarily lead to a Brexit. After the result, Prime Minister David Cameron said he accepted the will of the people as he conceded defeat in an emotional address from the steps of Number 10. But he declined to trigger Article 50, the constitutional lever which would start Brexit's two-year divorce proceedings, saying that would be a job for his successor. Dr Murkens said Mr Cameron's decision may arise from a reluctance to preside over the break-up of the UK. He said that constitutionally the UK was not a “centralised” state and while Westminster was sovereign it could not hope to unilaterally pull Scotland and Northern Ireland out of the European Union without consequences. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/brexit-will-not-happen-after-draw-in-referendum-because-it-would-trigger-the-breakup-of-the-uk-a3284216.html
  16. Sad isn't it. It's not fair, a life is a life, no matter where in the world. We're somewhat getting used to these things in Western Europe now too. Terrorist attacks like these are becoming a part of life for us all. Wembley Stadium went red for Turkey.
  17. The second female Prime Minister might be on our hands though. Thoughts?
  18. Yes, Scotland, like Wales & England, is a country of it's own, but it's not an independent sovereign state, it's a part of the United Kingdom and this referendum was the UK voting as the United Kingdom, not voting as separate countries within the United Kingdom. Those of the 62% of remain voting Scots who also voted to remain in the UK might feel that they've been duped by promises of their safety in the E.U., they are right to feel that way if that's the reason why they gave up on independence. Nicola from the moment the UK voted out was mentioning a second independence referendum for Scotland, and so be it if they want it. Should have taken it the first time. William Wallace cannae believe it! I didn't fink I was allowed as I'm not an expert on economics, . Right now, I'm enjoying reading the topic. If I have something to say I will!
