So much for a no longer relevant artist!

However, it has to be said that had her management chosen Washington and Atlanta instead of FresNO and Hartford, the North American tour gross would have been even higher and it would have surely gotten VERY close to 90,000,000 dollars.

In fact both FresNO and Hartford had VERY disappointing and under-par revenues.

In any case I believe that the final figure still is a record, isn't it?

Yeah why on eath did they choose Fresno and Hartford? Who didn't do their homework?

    Elitest Sellout! NBC concert

Posted by: vashtidmsr Yesterday, 08:34 PM

    Fucking Sellout Elitest ***CENSORED***!

HBO would have been LIVE with no EDITING at date of show!

Unless she pulls a Cool Janet Jackson Moon Stunt to them Fucking MERCHANTS OF CHAOS she can Kiss my ASS goodbye!

I'm tired of her selling out to the system of Neo Con Fundamentalists.

She should have released the American Life Video by now with Bush's low ratings.

She is selling out this the fucked up music industry. She is no longer the Rebel I looked up too.

I'm tired of this. She either needs to speak up or shut up and die.

If NBC edits anything from the tour show. I will no longer be a Madonna fan.

At least of the Madonna now!

It's obvious to me she does not care about her poor fans, dissing Australian fans for RUSSIA...What the hell is that about? ***CENSORED*** her then. I tired of looking up to someone that just does not earn respect anymore.

I guess our FREEDOMS are gone forever!

Cause everyone has give up or sold out!

This guy needs to take a chill pill. The aim of the broadcast of CT is to reach to as many people as possible

because US radio is shunning Madonna. This guy needs to realise that Madonna is 47 years old and is finding it increasingly difficult to get airplay. Madonna, Warners and her managers have finally woken up to this and are using other mediums to give her music maximum exposure. We should be glad after the RIT dvd fiasco that Madonna has finally got her act together. Sure the show will be edited but its better than nothing. She is damned if her show is broadcast and damned if it isn't. Lets just celebrate the fact that we will be able to see a HQ broadcast of the show which will hopefully lead so more sales of COADF.

  4. And she made her entire fanbase livid

I agree, she fucked up royaly with RIT not being broadcast. I think she is begining to realise at

last that because US radio wont embrace her she has to use other mediums to expose her music

to the public. I am all for a high quality concert footage even if it is edited. Madonna is the worlds

no 1 live performer and the world needs to see her in action more often.

  5. Perez Hilton review

perezhilton reviews Madonna's New York show...............

    http://www.perezhilton.com/topics/upload/2...nnadnlollla.jpg

Madonna always puts on a great show. And, she did not disappoint Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

But, the thing about the Queen of Pop is that she's almost too good. It's as if she's a machine. There seemed to be a lack of intimacy or a "connection" with the audience last night.

She loves NY and all that jazz, but the concert could have been in Topeka for all we know. She barely spoke more than two cumulative minutes to the audience all night long.

It seemed as if Madge was just "going through the motions."

Having said that, many artists wish they were even half as good as Madonna when she's just going through the motions and being Robo Madge.

However, we did walk away from her Confessions tour wanting MORE.

Madonna has always been a bit of a selfish performer. It's all ME, ME, ME. Whereas we think a concert should be all about the fans and giving back to them.

Not only was this show seemingly much shorter than previous tours - clocking in at an hour and forty five minutes - but we were truly baffled by some of the song selections. Did she really need to perform Drowned World/Substitute For Love or Paradise (Not For Me)??? We would have rather heard Oh, Father or Promise To Try. Some more interesting choices.

Yes, she did do some hits, but she did obvious ones. She did Music, Ray Of Light and Isla Bonita, all songs she's performed on recent tours.

Where was Dress You Up? Or Everybody, Keep It Together, Causing A Commotion, Borderline, Cherish, Into The Groove or any number of other songs she hasn't performed in FOREVER.

Plus, we still are slightly miffed that she hasn't done any "encores" the last two tours.

Perhaps we're expecting too much from Madonna, but she is the ultimate entertainer and the definition of an icon. She would want us to expect only super excellence from her.

And, there truly were some AMAZING moments during the show, most notably during the song Jump, which brought to life that Nike commercial where people were leaping off the buildings. Jaw dropping brilliance!

The crucified Live To Tell was genuinely moving. Sorry was jam-packed full of energy. The intricate choreography in Forbidden Love was hauntingly beautiful. Erotica/You Thrill Me was a breath of fresh air. And the Music / Disco Inferno mash-up was mucho fun.

Madonna always satisfies, but she just left us hungry for more.

    Maybe that's her intention?????

[Many MANY thanks Robin Bechtel and everyone at Warner Brothers for taking good care of Pepperez last night!]

Concert grosses for ALL show up to NY have now been released.....Glendale, Arizona was a huge hit, grossing just under $4.9 million for two shows, with 2 sellouts!

Hartford and Fresno did not fare as well, and will most definitely be the lowest grossing cities on the U.S. tour. Hartford grossed about $ 3.4 million for 2 shows and Fresno grossed $3.75 million for 2 shows. The worst part about these 2 cities, was that over the 2 nights at each venue, Madonna only drew about 10,000 people at each of these 4 shows (Both venues hold at least 14,000-16,000 people)......

The ENORMOUSLY successful CONFESSIONS TOUR has now grossed nearly $50 Million in the U.S., and that is before 6 sellout nights in NY, 3 nights in Boston, 2 nights in Philadelphia and Miami and Atlantic City.....

    Yes, tonight was F*ing AMAZING!!!!!!!

I almost sat next to David Blaine but he was moved to the other side of the row. Thank God so he wouldn't think of how dorky I was by all the jumping and rocking I did.

Question to those who were also there: what song did she sing a bit of while resting after "Let It Will Be"? I couldn't hear the words. She sang a couple lines with the band doing a little thing. Then she stopped and said something like "I love playing New York and New Yorkers are intense...but I'm f*cking Exhausted!!"

Her father and stepmother were also there; they were escorted in. I also saw Guy but didn't say anything to him so he wouldn't be "annoyed".

She was having so much fun, she kept coming to the B stage with such a Big Smile!

It's only at times like this that I love my job!!!

Note - the song she sung before LIWB was Frank Sinatra's New York New York. I would have so loved to hear her sing that. I am glad she is becoming more relaxed with the audience.

FULL REPORT from July 2 NYC show....

    BY JPASC24

New York City was ON tonight as Madonna hit the stage at 8:50 PM. The audience was WAY louder and WAY crazier than the first 2 NY shows and Madonna was loving.

Celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Lenny Kravitz (AGAIN!), Lucy Lui, David Blaine & NY mayor Bloomberg were in the audience as Madonna rocked the house.

What would be a Madonna show without a little drama? During GET TOGETHER, while M was on the catwalk someone in the audience was throwing confetti and glitter all over the catwalk, OBVIOUSLY a dangerous thing for the dancers and Lady M. Before JUMP, Madonna said "Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to our show. PLEASE don't throw things on this stage, Its dangerous! The show has just begun". Later on in the show, someone threw a shirt on the stage and she yelled "Stop fucking throwing shit up here.....Where do you think you are!?"

The show was OFF THE HOOK tonight and Lady M had crazy energy! A fun time for all!

  9. those early morning bitches are always jaded... it would be futile

I emailed them the lastest figures. I didn't get a response, like I was going to!

They don't like being confronted with the truth, the bitches can't handle it.

I don't suppose we will be seeing them front row on the first Wembley nite will we? :lmao:

This was an experience of a lifetime for me. Yes, we had to wait till 9:10 pm for the show to begin. They were having some technical difficulties with the screens I believe. The guy announced it, but I wasn't so sure what he said. I know he did say that Madonna apologizes for this problem.

But anyway, It was worth the wait....... Madonna was so strong and full of energy on stage. God Bless her. Don't know how she does it.

There was sooo much love at the Garden. Everyone had such a great time, and I'm sure Madonna did too.

My friends and I were so drenched with sweat. We were dancing and sang our asses off. Especially on RAY of LIGHT!!! Loved the way Madonna had control of her guitar. I loved it.. Just loved it!!

Also the Live to Tell part was very emotional for me. OMG, I got goosebumps on this one. It was so beautiful in the way it ended. For me it meant alot and had a strong message.

At the end HUNG UP kicked ass. Was upset I wasn't able to grab a ballon. There were soo many people with more than one. I saw this girl with four, asked her nicely If I can have one, and would you believe she ran away from me. She probably thought she was gonna get mugged for a balloon. C-mon I would have definately shared my balloons.

Maybe tomorrow I'll grab one since I'll be closer.

Also in reference to bringing cameras into the garden — that wasn't a problem for me. We got in and since there were soooo many people going in at the same time, I guess security didn't even bother. All they did was scan the tickets and we had to find our ways to the seat. An usher actually helped us out and we was such a sweet old guy. Found our seat, then told us to enjoy the show.....

Anyway, don't wanna bla, bla no more

All I can say is for you to get your ass out there and experience the show yourself. It's worth the wait and most importantly the money.

MADONNA won't disappoint. Has she ever????

PS: Got to see Madiva, (she was FABULOUS) the whole custom was sooo great! Guy Oseary, Rosie O'Donnel (she was taking pictures like crazy) Was hoping I see Guy Ritchie, but I did hear that he was there

just got back from the Garden, what a great fucking show...I think it's by far the best one since the Girlie Show and Blond Ambition. Her '***CENSORED*** you' sass is back, the poltiical stuff actually feels rock and roll, rather than heavy handed, the set list is great, the dancing is not cheesy, and she looks perfect. About nine times better than she's been photographing, actually...My friend and I sat in section 3 Row N, seats 7-8, right on the catwalk. We got the tickets at about 4 o clock or so on ticketmaster, then sold off my section 4 row M seats through craigslist. Which was a bit of a production but was worth it. we were on top of the fucking stage, and were never too far from her. for much of the show, she was on top of us...And I lost no money doing my upgrade, so I'm happy...I'm going again Monday, and I'm feeling like I really want to go again tomorrow, so I think I will...But I have to find a 3d friend who wants to go, unless I get a single ticket, which feels sort of sad...

In terms of seating, I think the best seats in the house are probably section 3 Row S, where she'll never have her back turned to you...But all the seats from the first four rows of the middle floor sections and up are great, and I think almost all of the seats from sections 49-57/85-77 are fantastsic...

AND THE SHOW IS JUST SO MUCH MORE FUN THAN THE LAST TWO...It has the feel good energy of reinvention, but none of its Vegas-like eagerness to please anyone with old songs that don't really need to be revisited. She's got a great album to pull her material from this time and that makes all the difference. . Even Isaac and Paradise don't wind up being neary as bothersome as I would have thought. It's really too bad she didn't do "Deeper and Deeper," "Everybody," and "Holiday," three songs that truly feel absent in a show that's all about the joy of the nightclub. But when she comes out to do Music dressed like John Travolta, it almost makes up for it. You will lose your shit
