  1. Yeah, and experts that FOX News brings in certainly have no agendas so they should be believed no matter what.

And from your very own article link:

the State Department has long faced the problem of how to communicate about sensitive matters. Unlike the CIA, State does most of its business over an unclassified email system, and many officials do not have easy access to a classified messaging system.

I am not even sure why I keep chasing you down this rabbit hole. You obviously believe whatever you want regardless of contradictory facts. It's no wonder you are repeatedly bringing sources from conservative news analysts and media.

Because a former SoS is the target of multiple ongoing investigations, both criminal and civil, related to the server as well as violation of public corruption statutes, and her closest aides are being ordered to testify on the matter under oath (likely to be subpoenaed?), maybe ? Reporters and the White House can spin, the AG and FBI can get upset, Clinton can keep giving the same carefully nuanced, canned responses re: "classified" markings which don't exist in reality, at the end of the day, as the head of a federal agency with access to classified information she is expected to recognize and protect it. If she didn't realize that these emails were sensitive, secret or top secret, or didn't act to protect the information after assessing it correctly, she is either incompetent or feels that she is above the rules for handling classified information. If this were on the other side and a Republican was involved in a case being closely monitored by the head of the FBI backed up by educated opinion from government officials, former government officials, national security personnel and former national security personnel, yeah I do think there would clearly be enough to indict that candidate already and take this to trial. :newspaper:
  2. Yeah, sure! Hillary will leave the race because of a nasty Fox News article. I'm sure she has terrible nightmares about her emails :lmao:

    Well maybe she should...

“There is absolutely no way that one could not recognize SAP material,” a former senior law enforcement with decades of experience investigating violations of SAP procedures told Fox News. “It is the most sensitive of the sensitive.”

Hillary Clinton Emails Held Info Beyond Top Secret: IG

Emails from Hillary Clinton's home server contained information classified at levels higher than previously known, including a level meant to protect some of the most sensitive U.S. intelligence, according to a document obtained by NBC News.

In a letter to lawmakers, the intelligence community's internal watchdog says some of Clinton's emails contained information classified Top Secret/Special Access Program, a secrecy designation that includes some of the most closely held U.S. intelligence matters.

Two American intelligence officials tell NBC News these are not the same two emails from Clinton's server that have long been reported as containing information deemed Top Secret.

  3. Obama must not have gotten the message five weeks ago that anyone was angry at him. Or maybe they are trying to force Hillary out of the race after all. :p

Contacts in the FBI and DOJ are 'Super Pissed Off' at the White House

According to Fox News' chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge, her contacts in the FBI and DOJ are "super pissed off" at what White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said about Hillary Clinton's email problems Friday. "That's not something I'm worried about," he told reporters at the daily briefing.

"That statement by Josh Earnest has got the back up of our contacts at the FBI and Justice Department for two reasons… They are super pissed off - to use a technical term. Number one, Josh Earnest has absolutely no clearance or visibility in the FBI investigation. Number two, they say it really seems part of a troubling pattern from the White House because the president earlier said he did not see any national security implications to the Clinton emails and then we found out he had never been briefed."

  4. Kind of like the Snowden case...it may have been illegal but ultimately for the good of humanity (*or something like that)... :p

    https://hacked.com/hillary-clinton-email-hacker-to-be-extradited-to-the-us/

A notorious Romanian computer hacker who released some of Hillary Clinton's private emails is facing extradition to the United States of America.

Known online as 'Guccifer,' Marcel Lehel, 42, lost his legal case in his home country after Romania's top court of appeal sanctioned a request by the U.S. to extradite him. The ruling is final and the period of extradition could not exceed 18 months.

He is best known for hacking sprees that involved hacking and publishing artwork and emails belonging to former US President George W. Bush and the emails of several celebrities including Steve Martin and Leonardo di Caprio is now facing trial in the US following Romania’s approval for his extradition.

  5. What is mysterious about this? Do people really suspect "shenanigans" at every turn?

Sanders will win Kansas and Nebraska, as expected; Clinton will win Louisiana, as expected.

We caucus in Maine tomorrow, and this state is always unpredictable although I feel Sanders may win. We only have 35 delgates, though.

Clinton will win Michigan on Tuesday, then clinch the nomination on the 16th. Sanders will probably stay in, but the math won't be there for him to win at that point.

    There are no surprises here.

Unpredictable is one way to put it.The allegations of rampant voter fraud in 2012 by Ron Paul against Romney and recount that found different results combined with the sudden decision to delay reporting yesterday all fits into a general pattern of Maine being known for election rigging. Hope today goes more smoothly. :)

For whatever reason they probably wanted to wait until Louisiana polls closed before releasing the Sanders numbers. It was being questioned every place final vote tallies were being posted so I obviously wasn't the only one that had never seen that kind of reporting before.

  7. You are entirely correct on this front. Voter turnout in primaries is always low - so even that Republicans are having large turnout now, it's not as many people as will vote in November.

And as the media narrative for a year has largely been that Clinton is inevitable, Democrats don't have much impetus to vote - unless they are strongly in favor of one of the two. They are much more the same than they are different - and I will support whoever is the nominee come November - but like 8 years ago, Hillary will have my vote in the primary.

Well, someone (or many) voted for Sanders in Kansas today because he has been declared the winner, but still no hard numbers reported. More vote shenanigans no doubt...very mysterious...:(

  8. I think he will. I think he knows the stakes are too high right now to play around.

Sanders might not have a choice now. She is the self proclaimed "most transparent public official in modern times" after all...

  9. Geezus, would the Dems/ fcking Wasserman Shultz stop licking and worshiping Hellarys corrupt, stale, vajajay and 86 her asap! Don't care if they dig up Biden/Warren tomorrow... however they need to do it they need to something. As bad shape as the Dems are in now, 'cause of Trump they're still 100x better than the Rethugs and would *easily* win if it was basically ANYone but Hillary or Bern!!

I agree. Even if Hillary submits to a plea arrangement in the end, the fact that she needed to receive ultra sensitive information for her job and went to extraordinary lengths to avoid an account that could handle is going to be a campaign issue. That alone would cause anyone else to lose their top secret clearance. Imagine the kind of incompetence and corruption that awaits America should she become president.

  10. I know you really want this to happen, elayman, but I think you're going to be disappointed. If Hillary was anywhere near this close to indictment, Obama and all the Democrats would be doing everything they can to torpedo her nomination. Do you think the President is just waiting in the dark to hear if there is actually evidence to indict her? He knows what is going on and he's not worried. Dianne Feinstein, the Democratic Senator on the Intelligence committee already said that anything classified wasn't SENT by Hillary so if anyone gets in trouble, it's going to be the person who sent the info and not Clinton.

Anyway, keep poppin' that popcorn. I can tell you love scandals poorly manufactured by the GOP.

The Attorney General didn't seem particularly worried in an interview last week either even though the investigation has been overseen by career national security prosecutors at the Justice Department along with top notch FBI agents for months. She probably assumed it could be slow tracked to the election and beyond...has anything changed ? Maybe a case being developed that cannot be refused ? It is hard to say outside of the fact that developments definitely seem to have picked up in the last few weeks.

Well, we shall see. If Hillary instructed her closest advisers to send classified emails to an insecure server, per the above articles than she is in as much trouble as they are. The bottom line is that she was trained and and entrusted under oath with top secret authorization to recognize and protect classified material, whether it was marked or not...if a SoS cannot spot beyond top secret intelligence (even Obama admitted that) for what it is she has only dug her grave deeper by messing around with it illegally on dodgy equipment.

  12. I doubt very much a case is ever "winding down" when the Department of Justice is only starting to grant immunity for crucial testimony and federal judges are beginning to clear the way for discovery and/or subpoenas of Hillary and her closest aides.

Washington (CNN)A federal judge paved the way Tuesday for possible future subpoenas by the State Department against Hillary Clinton and her longtime aide Huma Abedin.

Judge Emmet Sullivan granted a motion in a lawsuit against the State Department Tuesday that could pave the way for future action including, potentially, an order that the State Department subpoena Clinton and top aide Huma Abedin to obtain personal emails they withheld from the State Department.

The case is seeking answers to lingering questions about Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

Sullivan appeared at times to be leaning towards ordering the subpoenas, but ultimately said he would wait to see what the order for discovery yields before making that ruling.

"This is the atypical case," Sullivan said, who emphasized earlier in the hearing that discovery is rare in Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) cases, which pertain to information requests to the government.

  13. Granting immunity is pretty standard and isn't an indication of guilt or wrong doing. It just protects the person to allow them to freely answer questions

This IT staffer Bryan Pagliano took the Fifth Amendment to avoid self incrimination when testifying before Congress last Fall. He worked for the State Dept and obviously knew what he was doing with classified info on an unsecured server (not even encrypted at the beginning) was wrong but was given orders to proceed at the highest level. He could have lied at the outset to protect Hillary or continued to plead the Fifth. He was most likely granted immunity because his lawyers dangled something dazzling in front of prosecutors.

There is no longer a question that a serious crime was committed. They’ve lined up the sequence for when classified information was available on the secured server and when it ended up on the home brew server. Now the question is who did it and how it was done.

  14. Maybe Bernie had a master plan after all and that was to let Hillary hang herself and be the only other person running for the Democrat nomination when she was indicted. :)

FBI FOCUSING ON HOW SENSITIVE INTEL MADE IT TO CLINTON’S SERVER

Yesterday, the New York Times reported that as part of the FBI’s investigation of the Hillary Clinton email scandal, the Bureau is comparing electronic time stamps on classified sources. They hope thereby to figure out whether Clinton aides reviewed the sources and then retyped the information into emails that were sent or forwarded to the Secretary’s private server.

Today, a report from Catherine Herridge and Pamela Browne of Fox News suggests that this is part of an effort to determine how sensitive intelligence “jumped the gap” between the classified systems and Clinton’s unsecured personal server. Herridge and Browne were told that there are several possible ways that classified information got onto Clinton’s server:

  15. Nightshade can you update us about the new Hillary e-mail news with that guy getting immunity? What does that all mean?

Here is a link to the original WaPo article. I could be completely off but my best guess is that for immunity to be given the FBI has the evidence and needs the testimony for the Grand Jury. If a Grand Jury has already been convened there could be charges brought or even indictments handed down as early as this spring or summer. Who might that be, that's the million dollar question ??? :newspaper:

Justice Dept. grants immunity to staffer who set up Clinton email server

The Justice Department has granted immunity to a former State Department staffer, who worked on Hillary Clinton’s private email server, as part of a criminal investigation into the possible mishandling of classified information, according to a senior law enforcement official.

The official said the FBI had secured the cooperation of Bryan Pagliano, who worked on Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign before setting up the server in her New York home in 2009.

  16. Nightshade can you update us about the new Hillary e-mail news with that guy getting immunity? What does that all mean?

They wouldn’t have offered immunity if they didn’t have her dead to rights (caught red-handed, in the very act of committing a crime or error).. This is a perjury trap. The Justice Department career attorneys wouldn't be involved if there was no evidence of criminal activity.

  17. Kasich for one. I don't agree with him on much but at least he isn't breeding a campaign based on hate and bigotry.

Was talking to a friend of mine that moved to Europe years ago and he said so many people are simply dumbfounded by Trump's popularity in the states and he is making us look like idiots. Good going Trump.

I wonder what Mitt Romney's "major" speech is going to be about tomorrow? I know a lot of republicans for awhile now have been trying to push him to run. The party is freaking out over the thought of a Trump nominee its like they are trying to do anything to stop it.

The candidate that would "punch Russia in the nose" and get us into World War Three....that must be the ticket, and why he won't even win his own state.

  18. I agree

Pity that those same Americans that don't care about the rest of the world often entrust their lives to a government that sells them short on all fronts in the name of "protection" from the same threats that US government agencies such as the NSA, CIA have a big hand in fostering on a global level. So often they cheer for people and display and overly patriotic attachment to a (at times rethorically theocratic) system that's basically screwing them over big time

It must be quite puzzling to live in a country like the US indebted with China (of all countries, for one of the cradles of liberal capitalism) for $3 trillion and yet for its citizens to be deprived of proper medical care unless you show up at an hospital with a credit card.

    150910104134-china-us-debt-780x439.jpg

If it is Trump v. Hillary the strong neo-con support for Clinton will be an important point in suppressing her vote. Hang everything that has flowed from Obama's failed policies, and that would have resulted from the enactment of her own more hawkish stances, around her neck and twist it hard.

  19. CNN spent all day yesterday trashing Trump so it isn't like they are neutral and unbiased, and the poll was probably just put out on Super Tuesday to try and influence the outcome. A sample size of 920 is also a bit odd...like stopping once you get the results you want. But Trump did beat Clinton on the issue questions for whatever that is worth. :)

  20. With a combination of pledge and unpledge delegates, the total of the Democratic side is

    Hillary Clinton: 1001

    Bernie Sanders: 371

Also, recent CNN poll out that has Hillary Clinton beating Donald Trump by 8 points in a general election

Was that the poll that also had Sanders beating Trump ? With registered (not even likely) voters....The Democrats dropped almost 3 million votes yesterday from 2008 (2,848,930 to be precise) while the Republicans soared with an increase of 3,001,499. The Democrats are in trouble. :)

  21. she's articulate and quick. just give her some makeup to cover up the redness and maybe something about her posture and she's ok

And it looks like the politics of personal vulgarity has finally come between Chelsea and her close friend Ivanka Trump as per the Daily Mail and New York Daily News (which I believe in this case :))....:hopefully they can make up after the election (

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3381625/Hillary-Trump-s-jabs-one-putting-strain-Ivanka-Chelsea-s-friendship.html

  22. I keep being afraid that hardcore Bernie supporters wont vote for Hillary and give the election to Trump, but a new CNN poll came out today saying that 35% of republicans said they would never vote for Trump if he were the nominee and something like 16% aren't sure.

Well he is polling 10 points higher than Romney at this point and the primary popular vote is almost doubled from 2012 on the Republican side so we will see. A high percentage either stayed home in 2012 or voted for Obama also so quite honestly I wouldn't be surprised if that 30% or whatever is made up with Democrats, Independents and new voters. :
