I don't even know what any of this is about. Should I even dignify some of the comments out there within the media? I can't because I'm not sure where their comments are coming from. Should I be angry with them or pity them?
As far as the differences between the fans I think the problem many have is with the ease that some can be manipulated by the media when the facts are right before them. That is what some fans can't understand. I agree with Kurt in that I think the facts are being ignored.
If you look at the "whole picture" of the video it helps in interpretating his expression. Drake even told people not to misunderstand his expression but I don't think his opinion matters to some which is rich since they are, you know, "looking out for him." It's absurd. Drake's a 28 year old man and knew what was going on.
If anything I don't think Madonna would be hurt by his expression but by the way some have tried to spin the whole thing.
My range of feelings since Monday morning have been I don't get all the fuss, amused, and are you serious?
I also think it's interesting that I read someone asking if this was helping sales? I don't recall ever buying Madonna's music because she kissed someone or because people get upset by her. People getting into an uproar over what Madonna has done or said is a side of her public life that has caused me bewilderment, amusement, or great annoyance. Her longevity is based on her fan's love of her music. The music is there. The illusion is that anything else really matters.
I already regret commenting on this because I really don't know what any of it's about. All she did was kiss a guy onstage during a performance and his reaction was misunderstood. That musunderstanding is not fact.
Nobody is swayed by the media. Some of us were particularly affected by this because of Drake's reaction. We all have different interpretations of what his reaction was. The fact that we feel sorry for her particularly about this mess, does not mean that anyone was crying during the many scandals or will be crying if she decides to release SEX volume 2 or kiss more girls on stage or date an 18 year old or whatever else.
We have tried to explain the difference but some people are either unable to discern subtleties and/or deliberately misunderstanding so they can use the latest emoji and talk nonsense. I love my Madonna in bullish mood and I felt she did reveal that she was a bit more upset than usual about this one. I think it is obvious to anyone with a brain. So, the Queen will always rise above, onwards we move and I hope she has a good fuck you plan for her next public appearance.

As hilarious as these are..LOL...go look at that first initial, puff out of his cheeks and grimace and covering his mouth after kissing Madonna. It's just that 1st few seconds. We heard him laugh after. Then he said WTF was that. Some claim he wiped his mouth as she walked off. There is no video of that so I can't comment on it...but just his 1st few seconds is what gave rise to all this. Without that, it will be the same old usual backlash. That is why for me, he shares blame in this mess.

Of course, she's more upset. It wasn't just the age issue this time - that she can deal with. She's continuously addressing the issue but I don't think that what's really bothering her. I think what's hurt her most is the humiliation and embarrassment from the Drake's reaction. To any viewer, fan, hater or just an objective observer, it was clear that his facial expression was not of pleasure or excitement or even shock - it was of disgust. Doesn't matter what Drake actually felt or what he says or how he explains it, that is how the millions of people will interpret it cuz you see it with your own two eyes. If Drake had reacted more positively, I'm sure that the majority of the media and public would still be talking about it but Madonna would have relished the attention. I feel really bad for her cuz I'm sure she planned this whole thing but surely it didn't turn out the way she intended it too.
That's all I have been saying, girl. But as she just said in French, don't worry. The Queen rises above. So, She's had two days or so. She must stop reading whatever it is she has been reading that now makes her more aware of what these idiots are saying and we proceed. GT video is number one everywhere. Something to cheer.

Look, I don't think anybody is saying you can't "feel bad" for M, that is certainly up to you and to a degree it's sort of endearing. Ive been told on this very board that I'm over sensitive and a "Madonna apologist" before so I understand how you feel to an extent. My whole point is why the complete and total disregard for the facts of the situation? Drake basically said it was an honor to be kissed by the Queen, he flat out said "don't misinterpret my reaction" but you don't even acknowledge that. It's the same thing the press is doing, they refuse to acknowledge the facts so they can perpetuate their own distorted perception as fact. THAT is what I find disturbing. As a certified Madonna loon myself, it's just hard for me to see her fans being so easily swayed by the flat out lies of the press when reality is she probably got dicked the fuck down after that show on Sunday night.

I feel sorry for my girl about this humiliating event. I think this is one of those scandal backlash(es) that stings a bit more just because of Drake's reaction. Well same person had a huge meltdown in the charts thread which resulted in them getting suspended for a short period. All about what the media thinks of Madonna. Its absurd and borderline frightening.

After David's adoption scandale nothing can break her. This was a personal matter and she was vilified around the world, had social workers sent to her house. THAT was terrible. A kiss on stage gone wrong has to do with her career and ego and she's been there before, many many times. If Madonna wanted to be popular and loved universally she knows what to do, she knows the recipe, she aleady used it but she's clearly not interested in that. Doesn't matter if his final mix was not used for the Album. He has it on soundcloud and it has been, how do you all say it, streamed over 2million times it seems, but will they buy it if released? Music consumers are becoming cheap and self entitled.
Even Riris BBHMM peaked at 19 on the BB200. Like isn't she one of the leaders of the new school? Should it not be a guaranteed top 10 with all the streaming and radio play plus front loading she gets?
Something is wrong somewhere. I can't put my finger on it. My cousin was just saying this is one of his fave Madonna albums ever and this is not a Madonna fan like us but he plays GT every damn day. I remain baffled at the sales numbers for RH. Baffled.
