  1. I've wondered if they are going to film pieces of the first few shows and use actual RH Tour footage for RH Tour commercials. I think that would be a great idea because by that point, a casual fan or anyone can find the setlist and you'd be able to see glimpses of the actual show and not just pieces of past tours. It would be cool if the commercial began with a 30 seconds or so starting with Madonna on the Virgin Tour, morphing into Who's That Girl Tour, BA, GS...etc etc, with a voice over declaring her the queen of pop and master of tours...and the last 15 seconds show footage of the opening from RH, another few bits and ends with a quick spin of the nuns on the poles. Screen goes dark. And the words "Madonna. Rebel Heart World Tour. Onsale now. Don't just stand there...have the best night of YOUR life. Madonna.com. LiveNation.com"

I miss those kind of adds they are always so exciting

  2. Hmm... or maybe she will meet up with a more established independent film maker type in his 40's or 50's in Europe, there aren't a lot working outside the Hollywood studio system in the US unfortunately. That would be long distance again....an even more excellent source of inspiration to mine for the next album...But seriously if Madonna doesn't feel twice as old with these 20-something tabloid men more power to her. :)

She can always get something out of something so she can go either way

  3. Ok so the world wants to see the video and enjoys listening to the song on youtube but the radio stations think she is irrelevant and wont play her new songs??? OK

Maybe this video and the fact that it got so many views can turn things around

I only wish we have a proper 4th single with a video and a proper release just to see how things shifted for M after releasing a song that appealed to the general public. And I hope that they will make good use of the tour with vids and teasers and stuff so that it benefits the album

  4. She loves to recycle her tour themes though and they usually end up just fine.

    flamenco/spanish

    sex/religion

    acoustic/campfire

    party/encore

    samurai/warrior

    vintage/cabaret

Of course I'd want her to do a show with all brand new concepts but I don't think RH tour will be it.

There are not so many themes around that could actually work

Maybe she's done everything allready LOL

  5. I mean the setlist of this tour isn't going to really effect sales of this tour, because most people buy their tickets ahead of time. If anything, it would affect the sales of the next tour.

Having said that, I don't think doing a ton of hits would automatically get things back to the level of the Sticky and Sweet tour. She was closer to her big hits at time (4 Minutes was huge, the Confessions singles were successful in most countries) and less saturated in most markets when compared to now.

But having said that, fuck it! She's still doing really well, and Madonna has always been about a balance between old and new. I still think the biggest issue is pricing, if that were a bit more reasonable she'd be set.

I believe you are right about the pricing

And I am sure that when the tour starts and the reviews are raving- I actually have a gut feeling about it-the ticket sales will pick up

  7. "The Beast Within" / "Vogue" was a stunner of an opener that can only be appreciated if experienced live.

The crowd cheering as the lights went down ...

The dark arena slowly flickering to life with the X-Static Process video and the slow chanting of the song ...

The apocalyptic verses and that booming bass line that shook the whole venue ...

It was legitimately creepy. And then it just broke suddenly with "What are you looking at?" and the crowd just roared as "Vogue" started.

RIT was an incredible live experience. The DVD version that leaked to YouTube just didn't capture how spectacular the whole thing was.

I've come to believe despite the popular opinion that RIT was one of the best and most enjoyable shows she ever did
