The plot sounds very similar to Brian De Palma's film Dressed to Kill. -

Your favourite of the "C" trio from Madame X
Drowned World replied to Flip The Switch's topic in ARCHIVE - The MADAME X Forum
"Crave" started out as my favorite, and I still really like it, but now for me it's all about "Come Alive," I love the gorgeous melody, and the choir is so uplifting towards the end. -

J.K. Rowling Faces Criticism for Transgender Comment

She should've kept quiet really. She knows she has a big platform and she knew it would cause a lot of controversy. No one should feel like they need her words to validate them. Everyone has the right to be whoever they want to be! -

I know right now many artists play the safe game and do not have the courage to take a political stance in a time like this and criticize or call out our governments, and Madonna is doing just that with Madame X, as she did on American Life. I've heard so many say, 'stop making it about politics!' but if the decisions made by our governments affects us, then of course we need to act, to speak up! Madame X demonstrates this, and that's why it's a such a powerful record. She could have kept doing Confessions over and over again, but I've always believed that she isn't just a pop star or performer, she's also an activist and it's very much apart of her work and uses her celebrity as a platform to say what she wants; she has a message. Not everyone is prepared to hear it. -

I really like this idea, especially after watching that clip of her singing with her acoustic guitar on Insta. Great idea. -

Well a year later, after letting it grow on me, I'm thinking: once again, she's done it! Madame X indeed has a marvellous and unique soundscape which differs from all her other work, just when I thought she'd done it all, she surprises me again. I love it! -

Wasn't a favorite of mine until now, but it has grown on me a lot. I realize how amazing "God Control" is! One of her most significant songs of this decade, IMO.

"Looking for Mercy" is still my favorite! And for me, Madame X has got better with time. "Come Alive " is now my second favorite and "Dark Ballet" is third.

Yes this one is growing on me with each listen! and her vocals are so strong on this track.

The public are only interested in generic, radio-friendly chart music and whatever the latest trends are, M is moving away from that and taking music in a different direction that suits her. She's also more political, and it's obvious some of the industry want to silence her. We live in an era now where awards don't mean what they meant years ago, age also comes into it.. We can see her magic as an artist when goes out on tour, she always pushes the boundaries as an artist and isn't afraid to experiment.

Well, there were enough hits performed on the RIT, IMO, so... I don't think I'd like it if she completely ignored MX just to sing "greatest hits". If you want that then you're better off listening to another artist. What can I say? you don't know anything about Madonna if you expect that from her. -

Didn't she do that already with The Re-Invention Tour in 2004? I think she would just be repeating herself. That's the magic of Madonna is that she takes her music in new directions and won't do the same things over and over and sell out for commercial success. She's a true artist in that way, and doesn't care what people expect from her. She's at a place now where she can afford to take more risks, whereas in the early part of her career she needed to play it a little more safe. Not many female pop stars are in that position to do what they want, they have to keep listening to the people around them. -
Agree! That's why MX, for me, stands out as something unique in all her works. She's put so much of her soul into it, and there's also so many layers to it as well, musically and visually.
