Certainly interesting, however I personally struggle with comparisons like this as nothing is 'like for like' anymore, particularly in terms of album sales - as an example comparing C2 with a twenty year old Whitney album is redundent given the obvious decline in 'sales' overall and the dominance of streaming. Its similar to younger gens ragging on Madonna pre-C2 in terms of her post 2010 career - I always think, or say, if you are going to compare, then compare 35 year old Madonna with 35 year old Taylor, or whoever it is at the time. Mostly their to dimwitted to think critically anyway, but you get the gist. I am thrilled she has had such amazing commercial success with this project and more importantly Madonna is very much a part of the zeitgeist 'artistically' and all feels right side up with the world - well sort of. So deserved Slightly off-topic (or maybe not), a few weeks ago I randomly started getting these short videos in my facebook feed from the page of a record store (in Pennsylvania, I think?) showing whatever they had in stock, new releases etc. With July 3rd getting closer, some of these videos started having more Madonna/Confessions II in them. I don't know if you have seen these or if they were posted somewhere else but I thought it would be interesting to share. Now I don't know if this was actually paid (subtle) promotion by Warner (?!) or if they genuinely are excited for this new release from M but I thought some of the videos are pretty cute. (Sorry in advance if this is the wrong thread to post in!) Quote

Friends of mine tried to get either the standard LP or deluxe 2LP at several Media Markts / Saturns in their area yesterday and were told that they had sold out of the 2LP by last Monday and the standard LP by Thursday. They hope to get a new batch next week as this Friday Warner didn’t send them shit. Sounds about right. She hates Germany anyways now she has an excuse to skip it on her next tour. Quote

Way it reads to me is overall w.w. general chart info.& status updates. With extra emphasis on the US #s too which are the most anticipated.
