AlvaroLiam Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I've read on Infinity that HITS doesn't count sales from her website, so the final number could be higher. Quote
HolidayGuy Posted July 10 Posted July 10 ^Perhaps HITS didn't include them in the early projections. But we don't know that. I wouldn't think the Billboard number will be THAT much higher. But we'll see. :)- Quote

ashtangi74 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 She so deserves this. The album is loved by fans, the general public, the critics, the media. She must be very happy right now. Quote
promise to try Posted July 11 Posted July 11 if she is number 1 in the US i will be super happy for her, but I would wait until the first weeks to see if the album is really doing well or not.I mean, the first week is us buying everything. If you think about the 13 versions that are available...the numbers are not that big! But anyways, it´s always nice to see her at number 1! Quote
stevo208 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 (edited) I wasn't bothered about charts this time. I was here for her and whatever she brought. My expectations have been blown out of the water by the music, visuals and now chart placing and success. So well deserved. There's been such a shift in attitude toward her especially in the UK. People hated her I felt these past 10 years or so. But she's turned it around. How to do an album rollout masterclass by Madonna and Warners and their marketing team. I mean, jesus. Its been epic and I still feel they have more surprises in store to keep this album afloat, alive and living through the Summer. The Summer of 2026 will be remembered as the Madonna Summer. At least by me, anyway. I can't smile wide enough im that happy Edited July 11 by stevo208 Quote

They clearly put in the works for her this time around…and she delivered her best. It’s a Madonna renaissance. Quote

Ciccone's Cheeks Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I'm actually kind of rooting for Olivia now! hehe Never disliked her at all (just spotty far as liking her songs). She and/or her team absolutely could've tried to pull some shit over the week. Esp. w/ it initially being soo close. Even w/ it being her 4th week. Olivia in the last 5 years never came across as catty, petty or chart crazed like some others. On the surface, gives off like she's a girls girl & likely happy for M! Seriously. You don't think T@ylor (even w/ her 'respectful/admiration for M') or many of the others wouldn't have!? lol Most of these super young, hungry pop girls (SIENNA) but mostly their teams are beyond ruthless & awful. I'm not at all 'blaming' Sienna. Reeks from her team and label arrogant decision to go against M (I think it's Interscope ironically) hahaha. Karma for those messy dolts and what they did during the M years! Thing is, Sienna the week before or most other weeks would've gotten the UK #1! Oopsie. Quote

Dany Targaryen Posted July 11 Posted July 11 That's awesome, however I can't help but lament the size of the industry now. Confessions part one opened with more than 300k, and it was barely #1. A lot of records were being sold and it was already a period of decline. I guess we're way past the golden days of music sales.. Quote
