It would bury her and bury the album. She needs to use it as an opportunity to promote love & showcase a brand new single from the album, just like the SB. You think Trump is so popular around the world that people would be offended? MAGAs already hate Madonna. I’d actually be disappointed if she didn’t do something.

Didnt half of America vote him in? #JustSaying Im sure Madonna would absolutely have supporters on her side if she chose to use the performance to have a dig at Trump, and as much as I would support her point of view, I personally think it would be a mistake to bring that out for her performance. But I fully respect fans that want to get to get political at the World Cup, but I don’t.

For those who haven’t seen it check this out, it is the cutest thing Elmo saying they love Madonna and she is the first star mentioned in the clip about the performers at the halftime show! https://youtu.be/-bpfGqAwFlw?si=VLPm1Dv4vLm43euC This is adorable ! Just scrolled past the first few hundred comments and not a single harsh word about Madonna. Am I being naive or is the tide starting to turn?

It feels like a lifetime since the whole world was watching her perform, these moments are rare for her now. The fact she is 67, 45 years into an outstanding iconic career, back with a brand new album that is causing excitement all over the place and headlining an event with 1.5 billion people watching is just AWE INSPIRING. I can’t wait for Madonna to fill the global headlines & socials yet again with a performance.

True, most of the world hates Trump now, but not all media conglomerates, which would then tear her performance to bits, creare viral clips of any slight flaws during the show etc. Plus, I think most casual fans just wanted to be reminded that she's still our greatest living legend, but through her music and stage presence.
Icykiller Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Wow! Can't think of a bigger global stage!! This is going to he awesome. A full-on Madonna summer!
VictorMarques Posted May 14 Posted May 14 She could do like 6 minutes with 2/2,5 for a classic, a brief mash-up and then a new song within 2/2,5 minutes. It'll be perfect
redhot Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I hope she keeps it about the MUSIC. She has been outspoken about injustices her whole career. Let her have her moment to shine now, without drama or scandal. She has taken too much shit throughout her life. Her music always reflects love and unity anyway. That is her message. She doesn't need to give attention to Mr.Orange or other political causes at this event.

Yes I do agree Hopefully her performance similar to SB where she said “Excitement” when asked what people to expect from the show. And not Eurovision performance where political messages is the main agenda there

It would then have a knock on effect to overshadowing the album and entire era.

That’s my next Q COULD will we see Madonna on stage with the other performers ? Is there time for that? And what would they sing?
Skin Posted May 14 Posted May 14 "BTS......Shakira......I got something to say about it....." They all join Madonna at the end to close the show with Bring Your Love, showing unity and world peace.
Beastialg Posted May 14 Posted May 14 The standard halftime breaks in FIFA World Cup soccer matches are 15 minutes. They will propably extended it to 20-25 minutes because of the show but not more than that (soccer fans will rage). I believe the show itself will last like it was originally mentioned on the press, about 11-12 minutes + stage construction before and after since it will mostly happen on the stadium. So I would think 3-4 minutes for Madonna + a song all together at the end. I hope she doesn't go political for 2 different reasons: It's a WORLDWIDE event. No need to bring trump or anything related to US even when the events happens there. The Final will be most likely be between South American and/or European soccer teams. 99% of the audience gives a crap about politics on an sport event. They can end with a peace / love message at the end, and it will be good enough.

Only about half of the population voted and he only beat Harris by a little under 2 million votes. Also, even the suckers who voted for him are turning on him. Having said that, I too hope she keeps politics out of it - the media loves to give M a hard time because it makes headlines so I say keep it to the music. Her concerts are one thing, but not promoting a new album on the world stage. She needs to promote the album and if she gets political it will kill the point. 24 minutes ago, dollhouse said: i want Hung Up AND Music, enough with Vogue and LAP I tend to agree. Love both but they are getting a bit played out. I think LAP was a mistake at Coachella whereas I think Vogue actually worked. 23 minutes ago, Cyber-Raga said: And you will get Hung Up on guitar and Music as a R&B ballad. beautyiswhereIfoundit Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Love Sensation (good vibration) could be a good choice and message to sing on a case like this.

jjmor95 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Oh! This should be interesting. The fact that she even agreed to co-headline with Shakira and BTS is quite something.

MadFan Posted May 14 Author Posted May 14 I’m gonna head BTS to open the show and leave the stage in 1.5 minutes… max.
HolidayGuy Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Isn't the length of the show 11-12 minutes? So all three have to share that time?
