The biggest surprise for me in an album full of surprises.

Indeed! That’s what I look for in music - pleasantly unexpected stuff!!!

This was my favourite song last Friday and its still my favourite. Still in awe of how it makes me feel.

Favourites are making themselves apparent and this is up there. Possibly the freshest and the most chilled out and cool thing she's done this side of the Music album, dare I say?

Its definitely one of the standouts. Absolutely love it. I don't get the comparison to Justify my love though.

This is one of 'em that I show people when I wanna introduce them to the album. Everybody think it's sexy as fuck.

This track is definitely one of the highlights of the album. Love the pitched vocals and the vibe.
I think it’s interesting that the lyrics in most places say that the first whispered line is “trust, like this“ but it sounds like she’s clearly saying “trust, kindness” when she’s shouting the lyrics at the NYC event. 🤔

SCHOOL is SPANISH LESSON and S.E.X. done right. Can‘t get enough.

I don’t know if School should be in the same sentence as the other two

So what's the story with how this song came about? Lots of different song writers, and some of them all were thanking Sia for 'making it happen'??? What are all the connections here?

Stuart spoke a little bit about it with Bob during the London Tik Tok event… I mean, it wouldn’t answer all of the questions, but he talked a little about how it developed from one form into the next.

I didn’t know about the Sia connection, though, which is interesting, because the reliable DazedMadonna said that Sia was contacted sometime during the preparation for release (that is, after Warner was involved) about copyright information. So … that would imply she might have a song on the record somewhere — maybe one of the eight tracks that are unreleased? There was a rumor about Sia potentially collaborating, but maybe all those rumors stem back to the same source…? (And that’s kind of a long-recurring thing… maybe as far back as MDNA? Perhaps Madonna liked whatever Sia submitted, or maybe they even collaborated earlier, but it didn’t fit the vibe of a previous album or albums … maybe M always had it in the back of her mind for a potential re-visit later, when the time was right…?)

Anyway, maybe it was just a connection — maybe Sia put a particular writer in touch with Stuart or Guy O or something.

Yeah, there were rumors during MDNA that Sia wrote a song for that project called "Trust." Never heard if it ended up being true, but Sia did post on Twitter in Sept. 2011 something about "What do you all want to hear on Madonna's next album?"

I think "School" was more about Sia connecting the songwriters to Guy Oseary.

💖 Thank you for sharing this. I live for it.

It's good to see some confirmation that M has been in the studio with Sia before (I wonder if what they created is in the vaults?). 🥰
