dollhouse Posted August 5 Posted August 5 19 hours ago, bard said: yeah i agree. i would definitely consider LS a single now though - it hit #1 on dance radio, has remixes, etc. for this remix in particular, i think that if there's a deluxe/remix album coming, this is the lead single from it. singles (and music videos) are old way of thinkin, its just songs promoted in different ways, formats and even collading and not in order Quote
Dilly.Dally Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Why are we talking about a video?! Is there rumours of a music video for this collab?! Quote

HolidayGuy Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Dilly.- some are speculating that the latest teaser is from a video (live performance, scenes in the car). Quote

For a hot second, the tracklist changed … the original product description just had the third track as a version we already have. Then it changed so that track two was 7” mix and track three was radio version… Obviously, the tracklist was revised yet again to be what it is now (and track three is very unspecific) … BUT … the general description at the top (before the tracklist) originally indicated Kylie featured on all three tracks. Not anymore, though. Edited August 6 by peter Quote

And I love this visual as well because it deserves to be a club anthem . Quote

strepentijger Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I also read that they changed the jewel cases to card board sleeves on her website?! Quote
peter Posted August 6 Posted August 6 4 minutes ago, strepentijger said: I also read that they changed the jewel cases to card board sleeves on her website?! It didn’t say “jewel” before — it said “clear plastic” — which … yes, “jewel” is clear plastic, but it could have been a slim clear plastic case originally. You are correct, though, that there was a revision to the description of the package. Quote

I thought you asked where the 7” rumor started — it wasn’t really a rumor, because it was listed on the official website, but it has since been revised. I didn’t realize you were making a distinction between “7” afterhours” and a regular 7”. I saw it, and, yes, you are correct that it was supposed to be a 7” of the afterhours mix. Originally all three tracks were supposed to have featured Kylie — seems like now track three does not. Quote

That's a major change if you ask me. While it did say, "plastic" before that was pretty much inferred it meant slimline jewel case or something similar. Going cardboard is just a cheapskate move if you ask me. Quote

markm Posted August 6 Posted August 6 If they really want to push LS then they should be releasing a picture disc and 12 inch vinyl to increase sales. Quote
cardiganstarlet Posted August 6 Posted August 6 It’s midnight in Australia but not showing on Spotify. Flop fan question but have I mixed up? Quote

cocolattee Posted August 6 Posted August 6 honestly, they look cheap waiting for the day when they'll start releasing 12" singles again as collectible items intead of endless colored versions of albums that are saturating the market or cheap cardboard CD singles Quote

IFSF and LS - there are official remixes and they were both serviced to dance radio (in the US) but haven't gotten a full push, so technically they could be considered "promo singles." we'll see what happened with the kylie remix. 7 hours ago, peter said: I thought you asked where the 7” rumor started — it wasn’t really a rumor, because it was listed on the official website, but it has since been revised. Singles promoted with performances, visualizers, videos, remixes, radio, clubs, iTunes, Spotify, AppleMusic, various physical formats, events (world cup, Times Square, commercials, social media) etc: 1. I Feel So Free 2. I Feel So Free (Peggy Gou remix) 3. Bring Your Love 4. Bring Your Love (AfterHours remix) 5. Love Sensation 6. Danceteria 7. Love Sensation ft. Kylie Minogue (AfterHours remix) Also these additional songs were promoted in the short film: 1. Good For The Soul 2. One Step Away 3. Read My Lips ft. FEID (this actually belongs to singles category above) Quote

FEID Read My Lips had a FIFA mix, too — released separately, is a unique edit, available before the album release, etc. I’m not saying everything was a “single,” but … there were a lot of different things that were promoted and/or released standalone or apart from the album before the album came out (and before the digital variants of the album came out). Quote
peter Posted August 6 Posted August 6 42 minutes ago, bard said: they were technically separate thoughts! Well … I’d say sorry about the confusion (because I have a habit of apologizing) … but in this case I don’t think I am to blame. The product description being changed (three different descriptions in a rather short window of time) is the cause of the confusion, in my opinion. Not sure what was going on, but someone got their memos crossed, either the web team or the product/merch team or … who knows who else was involved. Kind of strange. But then … it happened (to a lesser degree) with the albums when they first announced pre-orders. Not everything seemed to have the same audio (because not everything said “non-stop” or “continuous” mix originally, and then they updated and, ultimately, everything is mixed — no separated versions on the physical releases). So … there seems to be some communication issue recurring. Quote
johndvd25 Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Id like to add that LS like the BYL single got a new different cover artwork from the standard/deluxe album artwork Quote

Originally, Love Sensation was released before the album and the cover artwork was the 16-track album image (veil) — even for the radio edit (which is not on the album). Strange that it didn’t get a different cover when there are so many images from which to choose. Even the Peggy Gou remix got a different cover (and then BYL’s afterhours remix single similarly got a different cover than the BYL single with Sabrina). Quote

LS was an unusual situation because there was a radio edit, but i think it still fell under the normal "promo" single convention. Quote
