promise to try Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I love the song, I think the melody is totally different to what she has sang during her career.I love lola´s voice more than her mother´s in this one Quote
Benjl1993 Posted July 3 Posted July 3 It's enjoyable, but inessential on an album that feels near bulletproof. I wish I could understand a word Lola was singing but her diction is so bad. Quote

Mr Ciccone Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I didn't expect to love this song as much as I did based on the preview clip. It's wonderful! Quote
Shut Your Mouth Posted July 3 Author Posted July 3 This didn’t hit me till the 3rd listen. It’s gorgeously constructed and I can easily understand Lola’s vocals. Don’t worry, they’ll eventually post lyrics there on Spotify so y’all can follow along. Quote
Je5u5 Posted July 3 Posted July 3 While I enjoy it, it's the weakest link for me so far and it pains me a bit because I'm aware it means a lot to her. Will probably grow on me with more listens. Quote
Rain Posted July 3 Posted July 3 It's cute. But there has to be a least favourite and for me it's this one. Still cute. Quote
timjub Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Nah this one hit me hard (in a good way). Her starting with "Little Star" is sooooo good Quote
Django Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I need a full album from Lola. Love her voice and style. And calling it "inessential" in the album should be considered a hate crime. Lo que tiene uno que leer a veces... Quote

Exactly the same way with me... it is perfectly coupled with LES to be the closer after the grueling dancefest.... I love Lola's parts in the song... Quote
paradise Posted July 8 Posted July 8 I hate that this track is so low on everyone's ranking. I'm totally obsessed Quote

Je5u5 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I know I said it's the weakest but I wanted to make a correction: it's the weakest, by far. It's lovely but it is what it is. The rest is just that strong. Quote

Thing with Love Sensation is that it's obvious that at some stage that and Bring Your Love were the same song, kind of like Goodbye to Innocence and Fever, but this time we got both. Quote
pithy Posted July 9 Posted July 9 The production is so rich and nuanced. If you're interested in hearing her catalogue in its entirety as the musical account of a life, this song introduces something unique and special to the mix. It feels like a worthwhile update. Also, Madonna's voice here is totally suffused with this specific kind of maternal energy that came through so clearly when she first became a mother. In the years since, she'd sort of twisted that valve shut, at least in the studio, showcasing other qualities, but I think she inhabits this song almost exactly as she did "Little Star" all of those years ago. Which is very touching. You can really hear the tenderness. Quote
Sanctuary1995 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 As someone mentioned it fits more a Lourdes album than it does Madonna’s. And just like with Betrayal, I can see how it is meaningful for Madonna’s relationship, with her daughter in this case, to include this song. I think that the album has an “overload” of 16 tracks due to these two songs. Quote

Genevieve Vavance Posted July 9 Posted July 9 don't understand the hate for this track. I've been humming it along all day. Quote
toujours Posted July 9 Posted July 9 It's a lovely duet. Love the "shining all around you" part. Finally made my top 10 C2 songs. Quote
runa Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I like it very much - very Lola, yes, but still very good. My main problem about this track is that it's hard to relate to those lyrics. This is so personal. And I don't hear any similarities between LS and BYL - where does it come from ? Quote
MLVC82 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 My thoughts on THE TEST! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DasaY3DIDhL/?igsh=MTEzNWJreGd3em84Nw== Quote
domyeyebrows Posted July 12 Posted July 12 It's grown on me and I think it's pretty and sweet but I don't think it's as essential to the album as the rest. I can imagine myself skipping this in the future. It's not bad though. Quote
AmericanLife95825 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 the "surrounded all around youuuuuuuuuuuuu" part is delicious. Quote

dwsfl Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I seem to like it more with each listen. As other have said, there's a touch of Ray of Light about it. Musically it's so layered in a similar way. Quote
