Maybe the whole damn thing has already been mapped out!? I was there she did not actually say that. She said something about videos being cheap these days and she wanted to do something bigger. It makes sense that they shot more footage and did the entire songs so I wouldn't be surprised if more full videos get released. Edited June 16 by topsign add Quote

It’s so fucking polished. Love it. Sabrina is almost like an extra, she doesn’t get much highlighting at all! 10/10 AGREE! Quote

I am guessing to showcase the CONFESSIONS film first and give it a platform unrivalled by individual videos. But now we have BYL the door is blown wide open for the other individual videos to follow! I can’t wait ! Quote

Only in America of course. But I can totally see the BYL views going up & up now it’s out, mainly because Sabrina fans will watch it as well and I doubt they would watch the CONFESSIONS film. Quote

I agree BUT maybe the TriBeCa premier prevented her from doing that? They might have wanted exclusivity rather than footage from the film being available months before the festival. Quote
Genevieve Vavance Posted June 16 Posted June 16 the abbreviation BYL sounds awfully close to BBL. I still have to accustom Quote

Cyber-Raga Posted June 16 Posted June 16 It amazes me that the video version sounds so lush and rich in details while meanwhile they initially gave us the slog on Spotify before self-correcting themselves with an updated mix which still is not on par with what we heard yesterday or even in the movie. The video version is hopefully also the album version. Quote

I agree the production sounds better in the video version, it’s got more umph and in the clip in the film the Lucky Star sample used sounds heavenly! But I think the version on Spotify now is the album version. Hopefully more remixes are about to come out for BYL now we have the video for it the track is getting spotlighted, finally Quote

Skin Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Dumb question. If you watch the video on spotify does spotify count it as a stream? Quote

It's an objective thing. They're identical, bit by bit. A fan account said it had been changed in order to get people to stream more in order to find the differences and from that point onwards people went on full Mandela effect. The video version both on the film and the standalone versions are clearly different (which may have affected how this mass illusion played out as some in the know may have fueled the idea that other slightly beefed versions were created) but the single/album version haa not been updated whatsoever.
