Considering her love for all things Latin right from the start of her career -or even before as seen in Konk Party- and how this album is overall a celebration of the dancefloor, it makes sense to have something like this. Tainy helps with the production so this will probably work better than previous attempts. I just wish this official preview was at least as long as the film version Quote

The production is great and even though I was not a fan Feid (Saw him live once in Lollapalooza and thought he was just OK), he is perfect on this track. Like I mentioned, I like this better than anything she has done with Maluma in Madame X. Quote

I love Medellin (a think I’m one of the few) but I even have to accept that the song structure and how the music flow is not what people listening to this genre would listen to. Medellin never had a climax ( my personal opinion ) and the artistic video didn’t have repeat value for the general public. Quote

Tainy has also shown genuine enthusiasm on his social media for being part of the album, which leads me to believe he's happy with the final result, quite unlike Edgar Barrera, Maluma's producer and co-producer and co-writer of "MedellÃn," who had several reservations about the song after it was featured in interviews. Can't wait for this one, I'm very intrigued but SO FAR it sounds good! Quote

I'm surprised of how many people here dont like it (I understood the bashing for Spanish Lesson at the time, but not this) Im one of the few who LOVES Medellin in here and this is what I expected the rest of the collab with Maluma would had sounded... but it didnt, the rest of the Malumas songs were NOT good, she didnt mesh (dont know if thats the right word) with the style, something was off... Tainy is an excellent very versatile producer and you have Stuart on the mix too. I think "Read My Lips" production in great, very layered and catchy. "4 Minutes" with a latin flavour. I really like "Medellin" but that song goes the unconventional route for a song that could have been a hit. I get why general public, Madonna fans AND Maluma fans don't really like it. But I think there is a marked difference between these wonderful examples you have listed and reggaeton, which Madonna has moved into in recent years. Quote

Sounds closer to electro funk mixed with hard beats and latin sounds. Medellin wasn't really reggaeton either. Quote

But yes, Read My Lips is more electo funky. Im just over the whole sound for Madonna I think a lot of it sounds generic, but I’m not a big fan of it. I respect its fans though totally and the fact it continues to drive a big part f the mainstream throughout a lot of the world. But for me, Read My Lips is my least favourite of the tracks thus far. Quote

I wonder if all of the Confessions 1 songs will be referenced in one way or another. Even if it's as slight as the ILNY bit at the end of IFSF. I guess one could argue that Danceteria could be the ILNY of C2. An anthemic love song to a specific place in NY. Quote

I loved the song The significance of Latin music to her artistry is undeniable and she has often done it brilliantly. Judging by the samples though, this song just doesn't sound very strong for me. I like its lyrics and think they're deceptively deep. And I like that it takes its time when most songs were speeding up and getting shorter. Quote
