This song is an absolute grower & would be a smash if they promote & I think the way the campaign is going they are going for a long one up until all the award shows which makes me think Danceteria will start getting a push via live performances from sep - Jan & then a some sort of residency announcement (BST)

Things have changed so much in the industry. Who'd have thought LS would get a single release. We all thought that LS had been abandoned and now we have cd singles so it would not surprise me if Danceteria gets a push later.

i can see the logic of rolling with the kylie collab first. LS was peaking on dance stations and they already released those two other remixes, so they probably decided to pause traditional promo on "danceteria" until this one runs its course. honestly, outside of the UK, the song is probably going to come and go quickly.

Enough time has passed for me to ask/say that there is no Danceteria full video, am I right ? They did not intend to put out one and thus did not film enough footage to make a full video. We are definitely not getting a full video for anything from Danceteria, One Step Away, Read My Lips, and certainly not Good For The Soul and I Feel So Free. And Warner certainly did not expect the Madonna + Kylie rumour to become a thing and thus did not make M spin Love Sensation into Confessions II: The Film either; thus we are not gonna have any MV related to Love Sensation, the current promoted single (that was forgotten for a month), either. The only full video we get from Confessions II is Bring My Love, which is the publicly acknowledged below average song on the entire album.

they mean "below average" when you rank the entire album. only like three or four forum members included it in their top 3 and it got zero votes in the "favorite song" poll, so it seems plausible. have we done a forum track ranking yet? maybe we should!

Zero below average songs on the album, as far as I’m concerned.

Just because zero members name a track on their “top three,” it doesn’t mean any song would be “below average.” If everyone named their “top eight” and a song wasn’t named at all, then maybe, in a mathematical sense, you could say a song falls in the latter half of the album’s popular songs. It still doesn’t mean it is “below average,” but whatever. If people want to view a fantastic album that way, then of course half the tracks have to fall below the midway mark. In which case, I refuse to vote any of the tracks off the island.

(But then again, I wouldn’t even vote B-Day Song off the MDNA album, and it was a bonus track.  Yes, I’m laughing at myself and my own ridiculousness.)

i pointed out that i think they mean "below average" on the album, not below average compared to what's the radio or even madonna's discography. anyway, i'm not the one who said it so i don't know why i'm replying - the reaction was just overkill.

In my case, BYL would be top notch on MX, MDNA, or HC, but on C2 it's got such insane competition that it pales a bit in comparison with the best tracks, especially Danceteria. It also doesn't rank up there with her greatest lead singles for me, although it is her best lead single since HU. Therefore, in these contexts, while pretty good as a standalone song, it is below average.
