We have the amazing bathroom scene in the CONFESSIONS II film, and now this chorus preview. Could this be the highlight of the album? 2nd single material? Performance worthy at the World Cup ? I hope it’s the 2nd single, and I hope she takes it to the World Cup. It would sound amazing pumping throughout the world for 2 billion people. Easily the best section of the film for me in the bathroom. She look flawless, the cameos and nods to her rise to fame in NYC. I think it really could become CONFESSIONS II signature song ! I have other preferences at the moment, but I prefer to listen to them all in their entirety. The entire album seems like an excellent work. We'll see. Quote

Silverfox Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I’d like to add my vote to her performing this at the World Cup. It’s completely infectious. I know the subject matter of the verses is so specific and personal to her but it’s catchy as fuck. When the journos reported back on the listening party a few weeks ago and said this track was spoken word, I did not expect it to be as fun as this. I’m wondering now, in the time she’ll have for the World Cup performance, if she’ll do a mini medley of two tracks? I usually hate medleys at award shows etc but if she goes with two/three songs, maybe that’s the best way to go about it. Quote

Maybe I need the full song I agree, I only listened once but it definitely didn’t strike me the way it seems to be immediately landing with most people. I thought good for the soul and one step away both sounded WAY more interesting. It felt…basic in a way that the others didn’t? Of course reserving any judgement until we hear the full thing, which I have no doubt will be a totally different experience. Quote
