strictmachine Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Glad to see a healthy song length for the most part, though a few more 5+ minute length experiences would’ve been very welcomed. And was hoping good for the soul wouldn’t be one of the shortest, barely crossing the three minute mark.
bard Posted June 29 Posted June 29 is everyone going to listen to the album from start to finish, jump to the songs you haven't heard in full yet, or start with the brand new songs?

I feel like we must do start to finish, since they made it a continuous mix just like CI!
RoyalMadonna Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Do we know which version on spotify will be the uninterrupted mix?
Rain Posted June 29 Posted June 29 We are so close to hearing the album now... feels unreal after all those years

I'll be listening via free Spotify so I'll probably hear tracks two, then ten, then an advert and the a random Dannii Minogue track

Definitely the full thing as it was intended to be listened. Plus I had stopped listening to the released songs on repeat so I miss them.
acko Posted June 29 Posted June 29 I’m so confused has DrownedMadonna told us how we are allowed to listen to it?

stevo208 Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Im getting up, sending the kids to school, getting my ear pods in and walking through the fields near my house to give it a first listen. Then I'll walk to town to buy the double pink vinyl from HMV as its the only version I haven't pre ordered. Then home to listen laid on my bed and read everyone's reactions in here.

Gotta be start to finish first. Experience it the way it's meant to be experienced. It sounds like it's been put together specifically, with the spoken word transitions etc. Moreso than the last few releases which I think ended up like playlists!

Sanctuary1995 Posted June 29 Posted June 29 All of this buzz and this album cover image has materialized in a dream last night, the whole time I was dreaming about July 2/3, red veil, vinyls, cds, posters

Cyber-Raga Posted June 29 Posted June 29 The last time I saw a huge billboard, actually cardboard of M spreading her legs at age 50, inside a mega record store as a promotional tool was for Hard Candy back in 2008 when WOM was still a thing. I am tempted to go into a Saturn or Media Markt this Friday to see if Warner paid for some in store marketing and what that looks like.

Well, they did pay for the preview events this past weekend, I assume. There was a cardboard display of M (similar to the album cover, but wearing the purple leather jacket instead of the veil). Buttons and tee shirts and two different posters. The owner of the shop I went to (same one as @ibizaboi24) gave away the cardboard display — which was very nice and generous … but now that you brought this up, he probably should have promised it to someone, taken contact info to reach out after the week of release at least. Could have promoted the album for a little longer. Oh well — he did post photos on his social media, so that probably has a wider reach than foot traffic in the store for one week.

He also said he was canceling some of the stock he pre-ordered since most people at the store he talked to already pre-ordered the album from other sources. He definitely had other Madonna albums for sale, I think he thought more people would have ordered at the event.
