She's everywhere today. ❤️

Speaking of which I was sitting in the Starbucks near the Beacon before the film premiere to cool off and it was constant chatter about Madonna in Times Square the new album and the film. One of the baristas must’ve been a fan cause he was non stop talking about Madonna.

where did I say she should do the original HU routine? (btw, the HU choreography wasn't as stiff.. that one was a little better). I just wish she'd show her strengths more.. and I hope team M isn't lying to her..

I'm with you. She needs choreography that makes her look less stiff one moment and sloppy the next. I feel that'll happen if there's a tour. ATM there's just not the rehearsal going into the performances and it shows.

You're right about Hung Up btw she was clearly more relaxed and fluid by that point. I believe we can see her move and be fabulous again but she needs a better choreographer.

Also I'm randomly in Blackpool (tacky seaside town for non UK people) and she was on in all the gay bars last night. BYL sounds great in a busy gay club!

For UK people, it’s worse.

I did not meant LS. I am talking about the music during this short LGBTQ tribute. I thought maybe we get a new song but it was just a short intro. Would love to know what it was.

Turns out it's Mozart! Sonata no. 16 apparently.

Nothing we haven’t heard before. Ignore it and enjoy MUTHA!

Some of you will never be happy if you need her to be universally loved. Also, some of you seem old enough to have gone through enough of her eras to already know that. If social media existed during Ray Of Light, there would still be plenty of people giving her crap online too. I have been a fan since Music and when I told to my mom that I discovered someone called Madonna and that she was my favorite she replied: "Huh? That slut!?". During COADF I also read (and was told) plenty of horrible things about her from different sources and she was back on top. This has been happening since 1983... and it will never stop.

Furthermore, now we are in the most ageist society that has ever existed, with fandoms being at their most aggressive too and a generation (Gen Z) who are so scared to be old that they have been getting botox and fillers at 16 and Gen Alpha doing 12-step skin care routines from Sephora being 9 years old.

Even if you stanned someone like Taylor or Beyonce, you will still read negative comments all over the place. No one is safe and everything is out there to be seen and consumed. Just enjoy that your fave is the greatest artist that has ever existed and that ever will, and the people who don't see it, then it's their loss. They can continue their delusional lives thinking someone like Gaga invented pop and the gays or that Beyonce is an example of feminism or whatever...

The comments on X are horrendous both ageist and sexist.
Some of them are posted by gay guys which I find shocking.
Why are people so bitter and mean?

I would send all the gays who disrespect her one way ticket to Chechnya. If you know, you know 🫢

It’s the usual round of ageism  comments though.

Same shit different day. It’s been the same since she turned 50. It’s boring as fuck.

The gays should know better.

I try not to read the comments on X. People are always vile, not only for Madonna but anyone. It’s just the world we live in, they get more traction this way, by being as horrible as possible.

Yes I remember her being attacked during the Confessions era for wearing a leotard but I feel it’s much worse now. It’s so toxic.  Don’t people have nothing better to do? If you don’t like Madonna fine just scroll past the post. No need to be vile and ageist.

It always comes down to the people commenting and how they feel about themselves. Like Tori Amos said: “Madonna holds up a mirror to society. People don't always like what they see in that mirror.”

The haters are definitely out in full force. But when you see a lot of the comments are from older people calling her old, and especially women. Some around her age or older. It's sad how ingrained self-hatred and ageism is in todays society.

Social media is a cesspool of hate and conspiracy theories. Also full of bots.

When the haters are loud it's easy to forget all the love she gets. People are really ready for her this time.

Let's take heed and follow M's advice. Be more present and get of the phone more.

As diehard fans it's easy to get protective and upset that others don't see her greatness. But it is their loss.

We are in for one hell of a ride as a fanbase, let's really enjoy it and take it all in. Don"t let the clown show bring us down.

Yes, it is on X. What a cesspool. I mean, how does it attract so many disgusting people?

And to the poster who said something about some of us being old enough to know that Madonna will always be criticized, yes, I am fully aware of that and expect nothing less. But, a part of me still remains hopeful that she will someday receive the respect that she deserves.

I felt like there was this wave of positivity and excitement for Madonna after Coachella and now that just seems to have been replaced with the usual nastiness. It’s just disappointing and upsetting. No matter how much you’ve seen it over the years, you just don’t get used to it.

Maybe when she is no longer with us (which will be in a really long time) it will get better in that aspect, but even then there will still be enough vocal people not showing the respect she deserves. It is the price to pay when you are the artist who actually came to disturb the place and put a mirror in front of this rotten society while creating the most astounding and compelling work of art which can never be topped.

She’s incredible. And the fact she sang Get Together, my favorite song, I’m more than happy. THE Queen

I think she will get ageist and misogynistic comments from people no matter what she does, and it's not in her nature to just stand there like some... other... artists. People with half a brain cell will appreciate she is almost 68 years old and she's giving her all.

Exactly. The haters will always be the loudest, but that doesn't make them the majority!

That’s very true.  She was never worried about winning a popularity contest or appealing to weak or close minded people.  She’s handled her criticism better than I have lol

Plenty of haters out there, as always, but perhaps fewer than during the 2015-2021 period? My Twitter feed seems slightly less vicious than it used to be.
