It says she’s not doing the usual press tour NOT promo tour.

I take that to mean she is doing mini interviews here and there and unconventional promo rather than the traditional route.

Not that it doesn’t mean there’s any club performances or anything more high profile but I agree there won’t be an assault on the media like there was in 2005. 

But times move on!

I think they are casting the net very wide for sure. 

Things like Bilt & Grindr have very specific audiences and won’t penetrate the mainstream.

But it’s building up momentum for the album and there’s a huge promo moment happening with the World Cup final, it couldn’t get any bigger if it tried.

So I am liking the fact she is doing little things here and there online.

But I do miss having a video. It’s been a very long time without one as part of the campaign.

Yes. Not much about this album rollout so far has been conventional... Personally, I wouldn't miss all those useless 2-4 minute press junket interviews!

I loved them for confessions 1 but mainly because she wore some amazing clothes and vintage pieces.

Every short interview she was wearing something different & amazing

That is true! She was in a good mood for most of those interviews - aside from the one with that rude Dutch guy! 

There are usually one or two from each era I quite enjoy - the Madame X one for Australian TV with the female interviewer being a particularly good one - but mostly they just don't go anywhere, or she ends up having to answer the same banal questions about her private life!

The Hard Candy ones were particularly uneventful and she was in a pretty humourless mood for a lot of the American Life ones (understandably)...

I wouldn’t take Page Six too literally I think we will get an onslaught closer to album release. I think they were just commenting that the Grindr interview is an example of nontraditional promo not that she’s eschewing it completely.

I love that she can switch from existential high concept cerebral intellectual album promo for Madame X to discussing hole pics, dicking down and bukkake (do we like it on the face or not?) for CONFESSION II at the flip of a beat.

Me trying to distinguish if the backing track is a generic sound or an instrumental looped dub of something album related.

I agree. While it's fun to watch we know the more sincere Madonna from Jay Shetty's podcast is 75% of her actual persona.

I’ve just watched Madonna’s Grindr video it’s 6 minutes long you just log into Grindr and Madonna is on there as a profile and it plays.

It’s hilarious she is surrounded by her gays talking about hole pics and big dicks and does size matter. Madonna then gives her sex playlist.

She looks incredible and having a good giggle with her queers !

Theres a bit of talk about her influences one gay guy tells her she introduced him to a lot of NYC artists and she briefly talks about Haring and some others.

Its a cool short video but nothing about the album.

I hope all these teasers are leading to a proper sit down interview about CONFESSIONS II

On one hand I am happy that she is on a gay cruising platform, on the other hand I hate Grindr with a passion, every time I tried it, I deleted it within like a day, I feel like it’s less about sex and more about dealing with your emotional pain, conversations are degraded to “top or bttm”, profiles are degraded to “no Asians”. She coulda chose another platform in spite of the fact that Grindr is the (sadly) the biggest one
