But it appears he wasn’t and was mixing it up a bit. Once again which has been explained repeatedly, but hopefully this will clear things up for people: Stuart’s did not play the continuously mixed songs! He played individual songs which he first introduced and talked about the recording process inbetween songs. The songs were not in sequence, he even said Fragile would be found later in the tracklist (as confirmed by the posters). The only two tracks that were played as 1 were IFSF leading into Good For The Soul, which was specifically mentioned by the people who attended the listening party’s! “Love Sensation” was played and introduced by Stuart using that specific title, meaning that it is on the album. Judging from the 12 track standard tracklist poster the song is on the deluxe version which according to Stuart is the definitive version of the album. He even was quoted saying: “Is the album 16 tracks or is it one long track?” Meaning that to him the album should be experienced as a continuous mix and is intended as such

The song was played at album listening sessions, she previewed the track at The Abbey, of course it’s on the freakin album! They don’t run b-sides at promo events! I even suspect that it might even get “single release” treatment if she previewed the track at The Abbey!

dollhouse Posted May 14 Posted May 14 i wonder how stu feels the fact you have to flip each record side multiple times breaking the continous mix

I've spent all evening and morning scouring all reports from the listening parties, compiling recaps of all the notes and comparing and verifying info with people who went to the events. Several of them confirmed multiple times that Stuart talked to Jodie Harsh about the recording process in-between tracks and introduced the tracks that were about to be played. There were apparently different playback sessions where people all got to hear a maximum of 5 or 6 tracks but a slightly different selection, because some recall hearing "School" while others do not refer to it in their recounts. School is also a track from the second half of the album. Further evidence that it wasn't simply a playback of the first half of the album. For instance, member ChooChooToYourHeart from Reddit who attended the playback: "There was an album playback for media in London today. It was Stuart being interviewed and playing tracks off CII in between." Member Justpoppin from PopSquare: "What was played was not a continuous mix (except IFSF into Good for the Soul which is clearly Track 2). Everything else was played standalone, inbetween Stuart talking - he introduced tracks individually (quick fade outs) and never said they sat next to each other."

But also because people apparently just don't read, keep asking the same questions over and over, make up their own theories which then get passed around as fact and spin out of control. Which is why I tend to make big lists compiling every single bit of evidence and info from the people who attended the events. To try and keep the dialogue neat and clean. let me clean up my notes and post one big huge post with everything everyone has said about the event/songs so far.

Ray Finkle Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I think the 6 tracks that were played during the listening party are the tracks that will be featured in the upcoming film. And... maybe they'll get released before the screening?

The 10 minute video well serve as a huge advert for people to buy the album after hearing samples of each of the 6 songs, so I think it’s better to hold them back. I think a full 2nd single will be unveiled following the video, perhaps at the end of June the week before July 3rd.

Summarizing everything that the various people listening to the album's tracks have said or written is difficult and time-consuming. Your posts become a constant in the narrative and, considering the high number of comments made in this forum, they are a compass for finding your way, especially for those who don't visit the site daily. So thank you.
luizotaviobarros Posted May 14 Posted May 14 4 hours ago, peter said: If these two are the same song, then there would have to be a major shift in the song to connect two very different pieces… (Given what Stuart said about songs merging and the continuous mix blurring boundaries, that is not entirely out of the realm of possibility, but …) … just saying, I think we heard One Step Away and Love Sensation at the Abbey. From clips and everything, it is sometimes difficult to know how it all went down and stitches together, but … those two songs just sound different (and may have had Thief of Hearts or something else between them?) … I could be wrong, but … just sharing my impression from watching a few disparate Abbey clips. (But … you’re right, I don’t think any attendee has spoken about One Step Away yet.) No, I don’t think One Step Away was rumored to be a single. There was a huge mix-up after the first announcement went out — because the song was mentioned/quoted in the release. But then Rolling Stone (or some other official publication) misstated that it was a single — and then they corrected their article when it was questioned. So that was an error. (Fans who couldn’t count letters also made an error thinking One Step Away could be the “first single” before we knew “Bring Your Love” but knew “five-four-four” … if you remember that brief window of time.) The “solo single” banger/smash rumor … which I would say is myth except that DazedMadonna had heard it in November and described it … is that one that has Vogue elements (strings), Italian language, a name-dropping of Dolce & Gabbana… may rhyme gold/soul (but not quoting IDSIF) … I’ll be curious if DazedMadonna will confirm now whether the title of this potential song has appeared in either the listening party or the tracklist yet. Haven’t seen that from him yet, but it’s been hectic. I may have missed. Thanks for clarifying
Mr Ciccone Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Yes, I echo others here and wish to thank @robster for his always concise and clear recaps. I do appreciate how much time and effort it takes you!
V.K Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I'd bet good money this album will end up amongst Madonna's crown jewels. It sounds like she has her beast VISIONAIRE mode on, Stuart too
