I really wish we could get a peek at the full tracklist. Seems like it's taking forever.

Madonna's streaming presence is growing organically. We can see it gradually increasing and it was pointed out a while back, she has such a broad back catalogue, it isn't just a few tracks dominating, it's steady growth across the board. She doesn't do bots as she knows that long term, she'll prove herself.

yes and she needs time to grow it after her legacy was ignored many years

The new album is already pushing up her numbers significally and imagine what a hit biopic like Michael could do to her streaming?

all This will affect bigger streaming to her new music as well, in time

Do we expect a promo show around the album release, so on the 2nd of July or after?

That "joke" about Madonna fans trying to stream their vinyls has grown very old. (and ironically comes from the came fb that said Fartpoop was sold out on iTunes) lol. How come Cher and Elton never get that? It's always us.

Agreed. It’s slightly irritating, especially when, thus far, nothing has been available on physical format. Fans are obviously listening to digital formats of IFSF and BYL. And for some reason, if you are “old-fashioned” and purchase a digital copy (which counts for more streams), somehow even that’s worthy of derision. And you can’t just listen to what you wanna listen to, you have to listen to stuff you don’t wanna listen to, or else you will seem like a bot.

And “free streaming” is not supportive enough — even though Tik Tok is the same in that respect, but that’s influential so it is seen as good. And even free streaming has advertising, which is a revenue generator so I don’t see why that’s terrible for the music industry — it’s like radio (ad revenue).

I buy physical copies, but that hasn’t been the primary way I listen to music since … I don’t know, probably before Hard Candy era.

Meh, it's just a little joke. We should feel secure enough as a fanbase to laugh at ourselves a little since our fave is the literal queen of pop and biggest selling female artist of all time and at this point that will never change.

yeah the vinyl joke is all in good fun. but serious shaming people for how they consume music is just as obnoxious as people who whine about streaming.

my bar is a bit higher. i always said a hot 100 entry should be considered a success, but with sabrina attached top 40 should have been doable. in the UK a top 10 would be considered "mission accomplished," especially for a collab.

Even the weekend couldnt make top 40 in usa and it was his single so expectations for sabrina were too high

Same fo me. Top 40 in the Hot 100 and Top 10 in the UK. But after the drought with suffered with the Interscope singles I'm happy she charted at all.

fair point but that wasn't really given much of a push. the show as getting destroyed by critics, it wasn't the lead single, very little promo. it charted mostly on the weeknd's popularity and organic interest.

Popular would have charted higher for sure had everyhting happened at the same time. Promo was pretty terrible for that song. No live performances or anything. It become a streaming hit and months later radio just started to catch up. Remixes also months later.  And the music video was released on February 15, 2024. 9 months after the song release!!!!

Yes he was huge back then

For UK Top10 a physical singles vinyl, cd, maxi with remixes and video for full tracking week + appearences on uk tv is needed (see kylie)

Ya, I'm happy she charted at ALL! 😄 But...ya w/ Sabrina was really hoping and ~70/30 expecting a UK top 10 and US top 40. If ELTON (w/ the help of red hot at the time Dua) could get it...actually smashed barely 4.5 years ago at 74 yold there's no reason M shouldn't esp. all the generally GP good will rn, nearly perfect marketing/execution from Warner. They created the need & needled the thread perfectly or close to it.

Forget videos and 150 variants lol etc...almost always comes down to the specific music/song! ESP when ur a legacy act. Ya, if a song is utter junk but you're a super young, dim, mumbling, bumbling Gen Z 'star'/personality ur gonna effortlessly bag up a quick cheap #1 or top 10.

BYL has only been out a week or so but feels like way longer. Like 2022-2024 or whatever lol. I'm burnt to a crisp on it 😕 . Initially, (based on the Coachella version, You Tube 20 second clips etc..) I found it FINE, catchy enough but deflated for me personally very quickly. Pity it needs to keep getting repeated but that's NOT a knock, judgement or shading someone else liking/loving & connecting w/ it!

Bold bottom line (whether we ever get concrete confirmation) def. seems her team was on the fence down to the wire between playing it safe...likely a little too super safe w/ an inferior song vs the true banger SOLO song. One that's more bold, daring, risky. My money is on (esp. based on what we heard) sounds waay better & hit harder. But like BYL no verdict until we get the FULL HQ of anything atp.

Yep. Verry messy execution of a what should've been an absolute effortless top 20...at least in a place like the US w/ that kind of song!

Elton & Dua did it with a song that was a remix of 4 previous songs all in one. Not an original song like Madonna & Sabrina.

Same with Britney which remixed 3 of his hits all in one.

Yep, I didn't forget & had that in mind. But was more about how the older songs were recycled/mixed, crafted etc...into something fresh somehow and it just worked (esp. Cold Heart). Hit hard. Britney song was def. more flimsy/mid.
