HolidayGuy Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Perhaps, Confessit- but that U.S. one alone has almost 35 million saves. I don't think it's moved from the No. 42 position; not sure if that playlist is updated weekly.

smirnoff_ice Posted May 5 Posted May 5 i read on another chart forum that BYL has been added to 451 Playlist with 105.89M Followers on Spotify. Can't confirm the accuracy of this though.

I saw it come up under a Warners heading online when I viewed it so it appeared official !?!

Fitho Posted May 5 Posted May 5 At least the dynamic on YouTube has risen today with more than 200,000 views for the Visualizer alone.

ashtangi74 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Just out of curiosity: Why hasnt Warner release physical copy's of the single, with mixes? The video? A full on release? Surely they must know how a high chart position could be reached? With all the suggestions made here and references to example Kylie?

Raider of the lost Ark Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Okay, here are my two cents: BYL is just another promo song. That's why there are no physicals and no video. Warners is slowly building anticipation for what is coming and the main goal is to make as many people aware that a new Madonna album is coming. They are testing the grounds and could adapt their release strategy if needed. But I suppose at this point everything is working as planned. The album is to be released in 8 weeks. I guess in 4 weeks the "true heir" to Hung Up will be released. Video and physicals. They could release an EP that includes BYL with remixes. I don't see any official remix treatment for IFSF. The song was always intended to be a teaser only. It will all culminate in the week of July, 3rd. The whole strategy seems to adress the issue that the GP may not have been aware a new Madonna album was out there for her last three albums. Well, during the Interscope years it was all about non-traditional promo. And since Madonna will not be doing the podcast marathons und and will not jump from one TV talk show to another, hype needs to be built over a longer period. The fact that BYL is already doing very well (for her standards or any other legacy act) will make a success of the real first single so much easier (especially if it is a real banger), because she has gained so many more listeners on Spotify already and she will be in playlists, radio will take the song into rotation without hesitation because BYL has shown there is demand and interest for new music for her. What Warners is doing is actually quite organic. Please be nice to me, if you don't agree.

So I think it is the 1st single from the album and not just a promo song.

Because I think the video for the duet song was definitely filmed.
Shaun Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Can we stop with the “true heir” to Hung Up bullshit? What “insiders” say is not on Madonna. Unless she promises Hung Up’s “heir,” this fan base needs to stop peddling a bunch of unsubstantiated gossip that leads to inevitable disappointment and bitching.
