KalamazooJay Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I woke up with this song in my head and it’s not even officially out yet.
JayMac Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Maybe the first single is coming with a late night talk show performance this weekend. I feel like Warner would be booking that to push the first single.

I've played that Coachella clip 1.2 million times already. Like last Friday, I keep asking Alexa to play Share Your Love by Madonna and Christina, knowing it's not out but hoping for a surprise. I get? "Here's GMAYL by Madonna..." Er, Alexa, stop! It's cool.

The last physical single in the US was actually Revolver. From MDNA I have import singles for GMAYL and GGW. TUTR didn't even get one of those.
Rain Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 I need to shake my ass on the studio version of this masterpiece yesterday
Joao Posted April 20 Posted April 20 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXW8PLJAMTV/?igsh=cG8zMDluazRobzlt Someone did this. If it’s like this I really didn’t found it a “instant smash” some insiders tell us. It’s okay, not awesome, just ok
mtzlplk Posted April 20 Posted April 20 OMG, after hearing how majestic BRING YOUR LOVE sounds in 4k quality, I can't wait till this song gets commercial and streaming release... HUGE POTENTIAL...

I am actually slightly surprised there isn’t the love for it that I Feel So Free is getting, because that chorus with Sabrina is absolutely banging I think its infectious, joyous & has a ton of repeat value and I can absolutely see it catching on with the wider public.
mtzlplk Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I just hope WARNER and MADONNA's team don't wait far too long....

I love it too and been watching the performance a lot!
strictmachine Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I just don’t get how people have strong feelings about it one way or the other when we haven’t even heard the full song in proper quality. I wouldn’t say I was overly wowed by what I heard compared to IFSF but totally reserving judgement until hearing it properly.
jonski43 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 This is just the Coachella performance with Vogue and LAP. 58 minutes ago, Confessit said: I adore it. I must admit, this isn't grabbing me as much IFSF. It's a fun pop song but I need to hear the original version. And if I had to choose, I'd take IFSF over this as a single from what I've heard so far.

It's a fun little song, but a little generic, don't you think? I like it, but it's not groundbreaking. But just like @strictmachine said, I'll reserve my judgement until I hear the full song in proper quality.

I dont think it’s groundbreaking but I don’t think it needs to be, I think it’s infectious & catchy to my ears. I love the chorus with the housey piano and I actually this it is what LFL could have been if they had glossed up tha heavenly demo. I don’t think it’s bad generic but more a gorgeous nod to 90s house meets modern pop, and I think the lyrics are fabulous. I really think the whole Bring Your Love statement is very anthemic, sorry to compare but again, achieving something the love sentiment in LFL couldn’t do. I think the use of Inner City is glorious and intertwined into the track perfectly.

I feel the same. Nice bop, but so far, not on the same level at all with IFSF. I wonder too how it will flow on the album.
Mozo1 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 You "haterz" are nuts. This song is a jam and when it gets its official release, you're gonna be begging for forgiveness. It's worth it alone to hear M. sing "I know where the bodies are buried, don't try to shut me out" (or whatever that last line is)!! I did it all for looooooove!
VogueMusic Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I can’t with some of y’all… “Generic”, “basic” , etc… 20 minutes ago, Mozo1 said: You "haterz" are nuts. It sounds fucking incredible, with clearly serious single potential in the way so many in this fanbase have been begging for god knows how long now! When the official version drops, watch the revisions begin…

Wait till it smashes and the revisions begin… i'm not so sure about that. i'm reserving the right to revise my opinion after i've heard the proper studio version, but i don't change my mind about songs because they become hits. i hope it does become a hit, but when i first heard 4M (which i did not care for) and, to cite a non-madonna example, "on the floor" by j. lo (who hadn't had a hit in years) i immediately knew they would smash. i'm not feeling that about this song. hope i'm wrong. either way, i'm sure it will have a big first week and i hope she gets another hot 100 entry. we'll see!
Mr Ciccone Posted April 20 Posted April 20 We've only heard a 2 and half minute truncated and live rendition of the song. It's clearly a bit too early to be describing it as "generic"

Don't even, bitches!
peter Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I’ll be honest that the *first* time I heard it, live, I didn’t feel bowled over by it … which I attribute to a couple factors: -It’s new to me — anytime I listen to something the first time, I’m processing everything—the lyrics, the melody, the instrumentation, the vocals … and this had a visual component because it was a performance, so that was an added layer. AND it was a duet, so trying to focus on Madonna but also having Sabrina on the scene cause some additional brain activity. -It was live — so it’s not as controlled as the studio version. (Lots of us have pointed this out, not an original point, I know!) There were some backing vocals, sometimes for actual background and sometimes to bolster the primary live vocals — and that was difficult to process mentally sometimes, especially when they didn’t align meticulously due to live conditions. -It was sandwiched between VOGUE and LIKE A PRAYER. I mean … it’s a tough position in the setlist to occupy, right?! So those are some of the reasons I felt like I didn’t have a proper emotional reaction/connection to it at first. Having said all that … I listened to it a couple more times over the weekend, and it grew on me on the second listen already. The familiarity from the first time allowed me to be more receptive, I guess. Totally on board with the “reserving judgment for the full version” philosophy. I’m sure hearing the full production will elevate it. I think it was so condensed for the time restrictions… It will shine more brightly in its intended form, I think. Even though I didn’t dislike it! I can kind of understand the basic/generic descriptions for now, but I think that also says it is a decently crafted pop song — composition isn’t too inaccessible, sound isn’t too experimental, etc. And in terms of message it is very Madonna, so that doesn’t seem generic to me, actually — when it’s coming from Madonna, it carries a little extra weight. Especially in context of her experiences since the last album, but obviously throughout her entire career.

dollhouse Posted April 21 Posted April 21 well a lot of early 90's big housey hits were kinda generic but incredibly catchy and now classics
Icykiller Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Meh song's doing nothing for me, so yes, generic. Will wait for the album version to revise my initial reaction.
