I just watched the performance on the coachella livestream in much better quality than the one I’d seen earlier and the song sounds very very promising as well. I’ve no doubt when we hear the full thing in high quality that it’ll be as lushly produced as IFSF. YES!! It sounds amazing! I keep focusing on the track beyond their love vocals and it just sounds like Sorry-levels of cool and awesome. And perhaps some Sorry in it as well? Who knows but can't wait to hear it the way we're meant to hear it.

For example, last night, it also said “Sabrina Carpenter feat. Geena Davis” and it similarly identified Susan Sarandon last week. It’s a way of letting someone at home know exactly who was on stage at that moment. As Madonna was Sabrina’s guest, it makes sense that Madonna is listed as featuring here. The song credits may be different — since it is on Madonna’s album, it might be feat. Sabrina Carpenter … but if it is truly a 50/50 duet, it might just be “Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter” if released as a single.

peter Posted April 19 Posted April 19 @songkaiwen, the lyrics (roughly) as I hear them: (Madonna) Sabrina (Sabrina) Madonna (M) I got something I wanna talk about… (M) Don’t comment on my ideas I don’t want your judgment or your expectations (S) Don’t wind me up like a toy Your vision of me is a killer of joy (M) I know where the bodies are buried Don’t try to shut me up (S) Don’t try to distract me with numbers (Both) I did it all for love (M) Bring it, Sabrina. You’ve got something to say about it. CHORUS: (Both) Bring your love ’cause you cannot shake me Bring your love ’cause you’ll never break me Bring your love ’cause you cannot take me down (M) Don’t wanna compromise (S) I’ll make a sacrifice (M) I always pay the price and now I don’t wanna (S) Don’t wanna (M) I have a confession (S) I did it all (M) I did it all (Both) I did it all for love (M) Bring it, Sabrina. You’ve got something to say about it. CHORUS (repeats and variations of “I’ve got something I wanna talk about”) … (Italics are for spoken parts.) I didn’t transcribe any of the background playback spoken bits or echoes. They were more challenging to make out, but I’m sure they will enrich the texture of the song.

Selena Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Love this song! This is such a good song, I get chills when I listen to this!! 🩷

Fitho Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I'm slightly confused. What version is this? Because it doesn't sound like the live performance. And this instrumental:

Confessit II Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I’ve been reading a lot of chatter on socials Bring Your Love is going to be the surprise track included in DWP2…. Could it be?

I feel like, if it were, wouldn’t they have said so right after performing it? It is close enough to the film premiere (as we know, someone else’s soundtrack contribution is already out there). I haven’t totally given up (though I’m indifferent to it now). If there is something (beyond Vogue) from M for DWP2, it might be the solo track that musically borrows from Vogue, includes Italian language, and name drops Dolce & Gabbana. If not that, then … probably nothing else new from her in the film. (It could be on her album and still playlisted with other songs from the film. After all, Jump was in the film but not on the soundtrack album.)

Using the Sabrina collab makes sense to help catapult it and be successful if it is indeed the lead single (which we are all thinking) OR the solo track that’s been bigged up by so many insiders as another track to penetrate the market to further promote the new album. I think Warners do have smart strategy here, build up organic hype by dropping bits of the album down many avenues leading up to the release rather than totally focussing on one area.

I am not saying it’s going to be a global smash #1 BUT The preview of the track at Coachella is sublime, Sabrina & Madonna’s vocals blend brilliantly, the chorus is catchy as hell and the Inner City house sample is used exceptionally! It really does scream mainstream hit as well as being blissfully clubby & appeasing the albums obvious theme, to dance to club & feel nostalgic. The small clip of the verse & chorus alone sounds like it’s her best and most infectious lead single with a TON of repeat value since 4minutes. I can’t wait for the full track in all its glory to drop! Everyone wanted Madonna to have her own Padam Pdam moment well it’s right round the corner bitches ! This really could be popular across the worlds and find a big audience especially with Sabrina attached opening up big stream revenues!
