Prayer85 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Download and play IFSF and BYL everywhere, especially on Spotify! If anyone could create a playlist for me to play them on loop with other modern and contemporary songs, I'd be grateful.

Don't start your playlist with BYL or IFSF too.

If you want, I can share it with you. BYL will be added, obviously

Maybe Island Records (Carpenter's label) is aiding in that regard, too. Same for streaming playlists. I will be making my iTunes purchase on Friday, naturally. I doubt it, Island is part of Universal and this track is not associated with their label. Interestingly Island Records was one of the record labels that passed on signing Madonna back in the day...
VictorMarques Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I know that some older acts have acquainted hits recently while performing with younger ones. But it's always about remixing anything or so. I'm happy with Madonna, pushing 70, and fearless to release new songs and getting all this attention and anticipation.

Tour with Celebration Tour for 10 years?

Okkk let’s go! I'm sure that with the release of Bring Your Love Madonna will climb into the top 50 of the most listened to artists
Butter9 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Wow I just read it as It's being A listed on both Radio 1 and Capital radio . https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/38968958/madonna-returns-radio-1-bbc-ban/

I think "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" is the strongest and "Spanish Lesson" is by far the weakest. I always thought HC was her most uneven album because she had so much turmoil in her personal life during that time. ANYWAY... I can't believe we are 10 hours out and we have only heard a 19 second clip and a short live version. The anticipation is crazy!

THIS. 18 years= 4M and GI2M= her last absolute banger w/longevity. 1st single worthy. 17 years was Celebration and it was a 'hit' but came & went very quickly. It did get airplay but not like she was getting just a year before. Almost certain by the time GMAYL came out they weren't 'giving her anymore radio love' or minimal at best. By 2015 forget it lol.

KalamazooJay Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I think all of this is the combination of a perfect storm for Madonna: the full backing of a record company, proper promotion, GOOD music from her, and a general public that may be feeling just a tad remorseful and sympathetic over how she’s been treated for literally just existing the last 10 yeas or so. I always figured there’d be SOME kind of Madonna renaissance and a late career peak, so it’s nice to see it happening. She deserves every bit of this.

But she is beloved in the UK, the press is just vicious. I don’t really recall any nasty horrible press towards Madonna as a direct result of her divorce to Guy. Hard Candy was a huge hit album here, S&S was very well received here in the UK and she had a hit with celebration in 2009 post-divorce. The wheels fell off in her Interscope years because of the music, it just didn’t go down very well with the British public, GMAYL was seen as a throw away and not up to standard. But that was a good few years after her divorce. So I don’t buy into the tide turning against Madonna in 2008 after her divorce here in the UK, I do not remember that at all and I live here. Unless I’ve forgot! Guy Ritchie was hardly a national treasure. I don’t think the British public really cared about the divorce, it was just another high profile celebrity getting divorced
