(He said there was to be a release on April 24 but that it appeared to have been IFSF, which had been moved earlier to April 17/18.) Not criticizing him, just saying, even someone accurate can have been misinformed every now and then. Assuming he is accurate about these credits, but … we’ll know for certain later this week, I imagine. Anyway, to confirm, yes it was Lindebergboy (now called MrWR) who said Max Martin was involved with BYL.

BYL sounds like it has mass appeal, it’s incredibly catchy (although I’m not in love with the verse lyrics I’ve heard so far) and I hope it smashes, but I think they wanted to set the tone for the album with IFSF and the Abbey previews before releasing it.

IFSF has ultimately set the tone of CONFESSIONS II that this time round, it might be her 2nd rodeo with Stuart coming for the dance floor, but this time the confessions are more raw & edgier. Lyrically, it diverts us all to where she wants us to be and opens up like walking over the threshold to the club and setting yourself up for the night ahead BYL is absolutely cut from the same cloth, but it sounds on the preview to me to be a lighter and nostalgic confession taking us all back to the heavenly good old days of clubbing with a superb use of the Inner City sample. Bringing Sabrina in as Madonna’s muse to help tell a story (they have something to say about it!) I think is brilliant as the lyrics weave heard so far tell a brilliant narrative that love is what they are seeking, and they have suffered the scars on the way to get it. Obviously Sabrina’s career hasn’t received the amount of criticism Madonna’s has, but she can share in that experience with Madonna and get a dynamite anthemic song out of it. I love the fact we will have an album track & lead single this time, and I personally think a 3rd song will be released, possibly 4th ahead of July 3rd.

It was a smart way to calm down critics about her depence of featurings to get hits. It was all about Madonna. But it was also clearly it was never meant as a lead single. No video, no live performance, no radio push other than dance stations.

I played it to death when it first came out but the era was over ,I kind of lost interest in it. Started listening to her earlier tracks instead of( as in from her very first album ).
