Apparently, the track has been moved to the playlist New Music Friday on Spotify in some countries?

It isn’t here in the UK on our New Releases playlist (that I can see on my Spotify) can anyone else verify this?

It seems odd to move it to the list a week after release ?

not in the US. but even so, there's only one day left before the playlist gets updated with this week's songs.

Maybe the song is getting a stronger response than they anticipated and they are changing the roll out.

It was added in Aus/NZ to New Music Friday playlist. Its already Friday there. So it could happen this week in other countrys too. 
 

if so, the second week could be stronger than the first. So good news

In Australia it’s already slipping down iTunes Charts to #15, below that horrible cover of like a prayer.

That's good news too! Sometimes having everything meticulously planned is a bad thing; it's good that an unexpected reaction to a song, which was more of a teaser than an official single, has made them change their plans a bit.

I feel like it won't be for long because they must already have things lined up that are set in stone on the calendar (interviews, magazine covers, advertising). We'll probably have some news next week.

Hmmm I’m not convinced that personally. I think IFSF will remain the buzz song to open the campaign and the single choices and rest of the campaign remains unchanged from last week.

I don’t think anything’s been switched BUT it is curious that now Warners have put the track on the New Friday Playlist for this week and didn’t do it last week.

They didn’t do it last week because it wasn’t out in time — it was “late” for the releases of last week. They didn’t drop it onto streaming/digital until after Coachella. (It was on radio during the day.)

Or am I getting the timing mixed up in my head? (There was a one-minute teaser before that … and the “Original ambiclouds” on the website before that. But I thought it only got released in full after the Coachella performance. Which was already Saturday morning on the east coast of the U.S. And only about one hour left of Friday on the west coast of the U.S.)

It’s my understanding the track was available late on that Friday on streaming/itunes, I don’t think they waited until after the Coachella performance.

But I might be wrong it was only last week and I’ve forgot!

The visualizer on YouTube says five days ago. 

I thought it was on radio on Friday, then we heard it had been serviced to DJs for the weekend… It was late Friday night in California for streaming, but that was already Saturday in the rest of the world.

So ultimately it was too late to add the song to New Friday lists on Spotify last week. 

The Q is why haven’t Warners added it internationally and just in NZ/Aus ?

i wonder if it will be added to users' personal release radar as well. that will reach anyone who follows or listens to her even intermittently. i've seen them add or change songs on that playlist after the fact, so it's strange it wasn't added this past week already.

yeah, it dropped early on saturday. its first day (saturday) was a partial day.

On Spotify IFSF is being added on new music Friday playlist in various countries so hopefully that will give the song some extra streams and visibility while we are waiting for the next amazingness!

Perhaps it was added at midnight Friday — maybe it is automatically populated by new releases since the previous week. NZ and Australia crossed over into Friday, so they’ve updated. The rest of us are still waiting.
