I wonder how all Those celebs will interact with M and Sabrina in The video as Those 2 exchange lines in The song?

Personally im not convinced it’s the same video. Plus the sun indicated it being for a solo lead single, not that that means it’s accurate.

Going by the reaction online, this era already feels like her biggest since 2008. Since album eras (especially for legacy artists) tend to fizzle out very quickly after release, they need to keep this momentum going for the next two and a half months and ensure the album achieves a solid debut in the US and globally!

If they manage that, I think it will be remembered as a hit era, regardless of how the singles chart!

this is why i think it's good that the single and video didn't drop on friday. they're teasing it out. i know people have short attention spans, but if it's done properly it will build interest and anticipation. even taylor does this.

i don't think i'll ever be able to capture the thrill of hearing a new madonna song on the radio for the first time or going to the store to physically pick up a copy and go home and listen to it for the first time, but i agree that it's still a special experience.

MX came out at a very tumultuous time in my life, and so much has happened since then, not just in my life, but in the world (the pandemic, etc.). i can't believe it's been 7 years since the last madonna album.

Nothing is confirmed.

But Bring Your Love has now had its world preview at Coachella and that’s the performance that’s been shared over & over again online and received all the love.

To drop a totally different song after the performance has gone viral all over the place I think would be strange ….. wouldn’t it?

The world is talking about Madonna & Sabrina right now, so that’s the song that should be CONFESSIONS II lead single in my humble opinion….

…..the early love for it has already started 😍

part of me secretly hopes there's a THIRD song that's going to be the single and it's going to blow our minds. because i didn't love what i heard at coachella and i don't see it doing very well beyond the first week or two. but i agree it would be weird not to roll with the collab at this point.

Exactly! I'd absolutely love to be proven wrong but I'm very skeptical about any of the singles from the album tearing up the singles charts, including the Sabrina duet. It's just an uphill battle for a legacy artist. I think the real measure of success is going to be about perception and vibes tbh. So far the reception is overwhelmingly positive so if she and WB can keep that momentum going then the album is a "hit". Also, I do think it's still important for the album to debut fairly high on the albums chart.....it doesn't even have to be #1 but anything outside of the top 5 could put a little cloud over things IMO.

Look at the Brat album. I don't think it's even certified in the US (??). It's seen as a massive success (rightfully so) and I think the highest charting single from that on BB Hot 100 is #12, I don't think it even had any others hit the top 40. That album was the hottest thing in 2024 so it would SEEM there'd be far more successful singles but that just goes to show how far critical acclaim, record company push and public perception goes into making an album successful. If Confessions II can have it's own little "Apple dance" moment in some way, that will seal the deal for this. Sales numbers and chart positions while not completely irrelevant by any means, just don't hold the same weight as they used to.

i've always said that "success" for madonna at this stage in her career would be critical acclaim. i think something more mature in the vein of ROL would be ideal, but COADF is the next best thing in terms of her acclaimed albums. that kind of acclaim and word of mouth can lead to commercial success without a "hit" single.

BRAT is a really great comparison. i didn't even realize there wasn't a top 10 hit from the album in the US. i thought for sure "guess" went top 5. it hasn't even broken 1B streams on spotify. it's such a vibes album/era. the album didn't reach #1 (proof you don't need to for success, but i think in madonna's case it's still more important because she's a legacy artist).

True.

But the video must have cost a fortune with stunt doubles, sound stages hired and celebrity cameos. The videos production from the description in The Sun sounds very expensive.

I assume Warners would give the biggest budget to the lead single, I think it still could be Bring Your Love with Sabrina and she filmed her parts in LA.

It just feels odd to preview the Sabrina track at Coachella and have it shared all over the internet & media for them to release a totally different song and wait to release the collaboration.

Thats why I think it will be Bring Your Love as the 1st official track out the gate

I think that we‘re gonna get a solo lead single (true heir to HU?) and that the duet with Sabrina was performed cause of the Coachella opportunity to spread the word that she’s back (check) and connecting with the younger generation (check). Could be the 2nd single though once the album will be released.

I do think it could be a multi-video thing. The filming in LA plus four days in London sounds like an awful lot for a single video. Also we have multiple someway reliable sources that continue to say the lead single is going to be the solo stomper that’s been discussed since the beginning.

Yeah, I wasn't mind blown either (IFSF on the other hand has won me over), but I'm hopeful the studio version has the sort of oomph missing from the live rendition.

That said, I can easily see this song cracking BB100's top 50, no mean feat for a 68-yo veteran.

I hope you are both right and we are about to get the amazing, much talked about, solo lead that’s HU true heir & reminiscent of Vogue!

That would be amazing, the quality of the album would be outstanding from just 2 tracks and half of a collaboration then!

Bring Your Love being the lead single is the only thing that makes sense at this point.

But if there is a third track waiting in the wings for Friday then it would have to be an undeniable stomper!!

The funny thing, in my opinion, is that when M performed several songs on her tours that seemed "mediocre" on the album, they were "improved" by the live performance, the choreography, and everything else. In the case of BYL, the staging and the song itself didn't excite me.

I think we really need to hear it in full high quality to properly judge. The performance bringing songs “alive” only works when we’re deeply familiar with the song itself beforehand.

The Torso directed music video is for her solo leadoff single "One Step Away". You'll get both before the album drops in July

For Warners to avoid releasing the Sabrina collaboration as lead single period because of another track would be very telling it’s a fantastic song!

Then thrown in the fact the 2 ladies have just previewed it at Coachella with massive press & social media coverage and to still choose the solo track reinforces it must be one hell of a track!

I Feel So Free has already been received better than any of her singles since Give It 2 Me and she has also just performed Bring Your Love at the biggest annual USA music event, with one of the hottest stars of the moment and is getting a tonne of positive press.

I think throwing a third track out there in just a few days time will feel incredibly jarring... Unless, like I said, it's an undeniable smash!

yeah but madonna is 67. i don't think we're going to get the kind of performances she was able to deliver in her 50s or earlier.

if it's the "leadoff" single then it will be coming much sooner than july, so this sounds fake.

the strategy might be to flood the zone. it could work. but i agree the collab is probably the single and they'll probably drop that third song as the second single right before the album drops.

I agree with you totally.

I think the lead is Bring Your Love but happy to proven wrong.

As you say, another solo track out as 1st single after the preview when the whole world is talking about Madonna&Sabrina would be odd. The press & social media coverage is ALL about the 2 ladies, it makes logical sense to follow it up with the collaboration……that’s what is now expected.

If the solo song is as good as the insiders say, It will be better to be bounced off a much talked about collab with Sabrina anyways…

That‘s what I thought. First single the solo one with the big budget video. Sabrina collaboration 2nd single to album release.

I hope for an official single announcement and full tracklist this coming week.

more likely to be the other way around. they already teased the collab and regardless of how great the solo song is, the collab is going to perform better.

I don't think it's a question of age: look at her performance of "Like It or Not" on the Confession tour. She did it with a chair. It's just that the song was good but not stellar and she performed it with all the charisma she possesses without doing the energetic, training-like choreography of the S&ST, for example.

I think we can ignore that MrWR..I think he is LinderbergBoy, who, as we know now was a fraud and liar and it feels like he has created a new account with this name to me..very similar posting styles too.

💯

It doesn’t matter if the solo track is the best song on the album or the best of her entire career for that matter, in 2026 it won’t perform as well  commercially as the Sabrina collaboration. That’s just the landscape for a veteran artist.

But it matters not, amazing songs, amazing production, amazing experience is what matters and that’s what we are getting 😍😍

But I do think Bring Your Love sounds to me as if it has bags of potential to catch on a bit and enjoy some traction, that chorus and use of the Inner City sample is sublime and infectious 👏🔥

So much to bloody look forward to in this era!!!!
