And Geena does some interesting work on women in media/film now, which I think M could appreciate. Anyway. Dottie and Mae together again. Hope they could both say to each other: “Hey, you did good. See you on the bus.” This is a magical pic all those years I never thought it would happen! I wonder why Madonna didn’t post it ? She never really talks about the movie, mind you, she’s never really asked about her past films it’s always music anyone wants to discuss in interviews which I understand totally. I agree with you those letters were Madonna’s private thoughts and it was awful they were sold. Madonna was also 33 years old, and she is entitled to change her mind anyways ! Geena was very generous and glowing towards Madonna in the various reunion events of ALOTO I saw when the actresses got together! Its a fantastic film and it’s wonderful to see this pic of the 2 reunited after alll these decades ! Quote

I appreciate the additional information. Yes, it’s sweet that Geena shared. As I said, it may have gotten a little more of a spotlight with this dedicated post than if it were buried in Madonna’s multi-photo post (or Sabrina’s). But I also can understand perhaps why someone would ask why M didn’t include it in her post. They obviously coordinated a bit, because it had to have been sent from Ricardo to Geena. The purple jacket is the same — she did start her set wearing that over a purple leotard and some purple pants. She eventually removed the pants and the jacket. The boots were the same. The corset was the one she wore in the Sorry video and for the hologram that opened the Grammys in 2006. And that was really the first time she performed anything from COADF in the US. But Coachella was the first time she performed a set with COADF songs (similar to several shows she had already performed in the UK back in Nov 2005 when the album was released). And she performed one-off songs (HU and Get Together) in lots of other places in between — Germany, France, Japan. Anyway, like I said, maybe she meant leotard instead of corset (but less likely, since she has since repeated “corset” in her ‘missing’ post)… Seems like she is just conflating that she wore all these pieces twenty years ago on separate occasions.
