Yes it’s very thoughtful.

hopefully she gets it back and WB will work with her to get tighter security.

Love all these photos! (Especially their hands clasped! So emotional!) She wore red to rehearsals?! Wow!

💔 Very sweet of you to be supportive. It is a horrible violation! I don’t understand how those dressing areas wouldn’t be guarded by Coachella staff or third-party security. (And no security cameras?!)

Also could be a slight issue if she had a promo/club gig booked for this weekend as a surprise and planned to wear any of her archival pieces for it … now she’ll be scrambling for an alternative. (She had multiple copies of touring pieces, but some of these were promo appearance things — not sure if she had duplicates for these in the same way or not.)

The pics in the pink corset - is that a different outfit to the one she wore.for the actual performance but in a different colour?

Yes, she wore pink after the show. She wore red in rehearsals. And purple obviously was the real performance version.

I’m curious about that too. Looks a bit different not just the color. Is that the that was stolen and not the stage outfit. I don’t think she’s experienced a robbery like this before. She needs more security to guard her costumes.

I've had a thought...

What if this is a publicity thing... who will confess to stealing her clothes???

the magenta (red?) outfit is fire. she should have worn that for the show. the lilac is pretty but the darker one would have made a bolder comeback statement.

No way this would backfire fooling people like that

Yeah I think that too.

Like when she threw herself backwards down the stairs to avoid being strangled by the bow that tied her cape at the beginning of the LFL performance? They were stolen from her and I don't think she'll find them easily.

She had an archival/vintage red jacket (like the purple and silver ones) … I don’t remember where she wore it … OH! Confessions Tour, Sorry and the beginning of LION. But it reads more as brown to me…

I agree, though, that I think the red would have been bolder. I’m okay with the purple, though. (Not that she needs my approval or opinion!) I think it was about feeling the full-circle moment even more for her if she wore the purple.

I really like her in every hue of purple. Maybe it's its association with regality. With me, it's kind of her (albeit usually untapped) colour.

THIS ISN'T BECOMING A MADONNA FAN PAGE BUT SEEING 67-YEAR-OLD MADONNA AT COACHELLA, IN THE MIDDLE OF ANYMA'S SET, GOING ABSOLUTELY OFF ARMS FLYING, BODY MOVING, PURE UNFILTERED JOY WHILE THE ENTIRE CROWD AROUND HER STANDS THERE LIKE STATUES, PHONES GLUED TO THEIR HANDS, BARELY SWAYING. SHE LOOKS ALIVE. THEY
LOOK... EMBALMED. IT'S HILARIOUS AND DEPRESSING AT THE SAME TIME. AND IT PERFECTLY SUMS UP WHAT'S SUCKING THE SOUL OUT OF LIVE EXPERIENCES
RIGHT NOW.

Something I’ve noticed since the release of the first song and the Coachella performance is the amount of think pieces across social media, from infographic slides to videos, talking about Madonna in the specific context of ageism and agency, and how supportive they all are…as if people are finally, FINALLY, waking up to what she’s been saying and repping for the past couple decades now. It’s quite amazing to see!

Yes! In fact so many have popped up in the past couple of days that I've had to 'save' them to go back and read later when I have more time...

I think it's an insurance scam! She told me she had her eye on a nice twin set and pearls from Mark's and Spencers.

#insurancepayout. 🤣🤣🤣

Wow.

Glad to see this was intentional! I definitely read some fans (possibly here) pointing that out with the deluxe premium packaging of the LP being reminiscent of the Pieta. I think people caught it from the veil cover alone, but the premium overlay makes it even more explicit.

i've seen a lot of positivity as well. but i do wonder if it's because she looked and sounded great. suddenly everyone wants to defend her now, but where were they during the grammy debacle?

When I re-visited the livestream for Coachella, they had a slide on the screen (between sets, I imagine) promoting other acts for the weekend … some of the names made me wonder if M bumped into them at all … Moby, Jamie xx, Diplo … even fka Twigs. In addition to remixes from Stuart (under all of his monikers), would love to have a remix from Jamie xx and Diplo this album cycle.

Romy and Oliver Sim from The XX shared multiple Madonna posts on Instagram. Both from Coachella but also the album cover and resharing Madonna’s reels! 🥰

Would absolutely love a collab with them!

True but that style was not a good look on her at the Grammys that hair color was horrible on her. I don’t know if it’s Gen Z or just people in general are finally getting sick of ageist bullies.

i've seen a lot of millennial and gen X women on social praising/defending her. they're especially upset about the reception she received at coachella but i personally thought the crowd sounded excited. it's just the way of the world today to hold your phone and not clap or cheer.

I think, too, since it was a surprise appearance, many in the audience probably didn’t realize at first that she’s really there in person — when I saw a couple audience view videos, there was a blinding white light in the center of the stage … and it was a few moments before you can tell a figure has arrived (emerging from beneath the stage on a lift) … then her back is to the audience at first…

It was a dramatic entrance, so that was great, as it built some anticipation.

And yeah, I definitely heard the crowd erupt in cheers — it did seem like it was just slightly delayed reaction, but the factors above probably played a part in that. (Plus, it’s not like Sabrina doesn’t cover Madonna songs in her sets — she’s done it previously. So it may not have been instantaneously obvious to the audience that a guest was about to sing. Some might have thought Sabrina was going to sing Vogue, if they even recognized Vogue…)

It was also a departure from the weekend 1 set, so, if you’re a hard core Sabrina fan and watched the livestream on YouTube the first week, you weren’t expecting it and you’re wondering what is happening. Takes a moment to realize who is up there on stage.

Maybe I’m making excuses, but … I didn’t think there was a muted reaction to Madonna from the video I saw. In some of the audience videos, you can see some attendees are … ummm … less energetic, but there were plenty of people who were so enthusiastic and elated and dancing and jumping and cheering. As they should have been! lol.
