It’s so nice to know the gears are all turning (i mean, we knew they were, but we had no idea how long we had to wait — now, at least, we have a date when our patience will be rewarded)… More to say, just random thoughts, but just wanted to say I’m so happy to be able to experience a new Madonna album era again. It feels like … home!

The 16-track (standard and deluxe, I believe) has the 12 album tracks individually/separated, plus four bonus tracks. (And personally I think this is the best kd both worlds! Definitely want one of each version of the CD. This is what I had hoped — that we’d get both continuous mix and separated. Hopefully that helps increase sales, too, on top of the various vinyl packages and the cassette…)

There are some limitations when purchasing from an artist’s website. “Bulk orders” are limited. If you buy more than four in one transaction, it will only count a maximum of four. Any digital orders (which so far aren’t offered on her site, I don’t think?) must be redeemed in order to be counted. This is per week, per transaction … ? peter Posted April 16 Posted April 16 U.S. iTunes store allows pre-orders of the album — 16 track version (assuming all separated, rather than continuous mix of first 12 with four bonus, but impossible to know right now). So far, no 12-track visible. There is a 17-second video file at the end of the album, but it is not visible yet. Not sure if this matches the Apple Music video of the album cover shoot that some were mentioning earlier. What is odd, though, is that the price is $7.99 (for 16 tracks). Maybe the price will go up later on? But that price is usually for albums of fewer than ten tracks. So … hope these are not really short songs and that’s why the price is lower. With pre-orders, iTunes doesn’t charge you until something is released. So, if the first single were to be released this week or next, it would charge me and reduce the overall cost of the rest of the album. But maybe they will increase the album price before July 3… ?

Towards the end of my record store reign…we sometimes got local artists who came in with an envelope of cash asking us to scan 5 singles every hour…and then this nerd from Ultratop (official charts) would call up towards the end of the week and grill us over the phone about suspicious sales activities and the song would then get barred from the official charts poor guys they just wanted to get their record played on the radio during the weekly chart rundown, but the nerds weren’t having it.
