Django Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Which one has the continuous mix? The 12-track one? I mean on CD.
cardiganstarlet Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Wow that’s beautiful! On the snippet, remember the Madame X manifesto was released with KWAP as the background, so it doesn’t automatically mean it’s the first single. And French Kiss was one of the earliest rumoured samples which makes me so happy, I love the song. Praying that Rhythm Is A Dancer has also been sampled.
metalissimo Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Still no info of the 1st single? The title of Sabrina Carpenter collaboration?

I think this is better than the actual cover…… Was told it was from inside the deluxe edition CD. I honestly don't know, I can't tell the difference between what's real and AI these days.

Confessit II Posted April 15 Posted April 15 15 minutes ago, bard said: i don't think they would move it. if it's not this week then i think the COADF vinyl is the culprit. actually surprised they didn't mention that tie-in in the press release. But why would the vinyl release of COADF affect a new lead single dropping this Friday. If that was the case then just wait until next week to announce the album & pre orders out the way? I see the COADF vinyl a fan only release anyways and the lead single would be aimed at the entire wider public? 15 minutes ago, bard said: i never really cared for the original COADF. i might even rank the new one above it. i feel the same but... I don’t think the new cover is a patch on COADF. It was perfect. The design, the typography, the leotard…..it perfectly summed up the era and message. Hard hitting and punching. The new font used looks to be as run-of-the-mill relativism that is reproduced on mass. Whereas the COADF font feels unique to that album & moment in time. Fonts/design Standard (Confessions II) vs Timeless (COADF).

It’s as simple as that. It’s easy to get confused. The image used in the silver jacket and sunglasses in publications today to announce the album looks AI to me. If I saw it online without the official context I could easily think someone has knocked that up unofficially

MadFan Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I remember the original COADF cover got mixed reviews at the time, people thought the red and pink didn't go together. The new one's amazing too. The new photographers are doing wonders and it's so nice to see her in COLOUR.

There is a genuine eagerness and excitement for this new era which seems to go beyond the hardcore fanbase. I’m excited to see what comes next.
vertigokane Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I’m all of a sudden highly skeptical of Sabrina even being involved at all now that we’ve seen the imagery and have a taste of the album’s sound. I just don’t see how she fits. Her whole vibe is a bit coquettish. I guess we’ll see…

But that’s fine, I think a collaboration will work but it will be very much Sabrina guesting on Madonna’s project. Sabrina is up for being transported to Madonna house dance heaven with Stuart…..hopefully her fanbase will feel the same, because if they do, we are about to get Madonna’s most successful single for 2 decades.
HolidayGuy Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Hopefully all 16 tracks are strong, not like Rebel Heart, where a handful of tracks could have ben left off completely.

Yeah I just hope Sabrina has the ability to adapt so it doesn’t come across as her being tacked on to a Madonna song. I’ve yet to see any artistic development with Sabrina’s image and sound.

Too many people are missing. I hope she has all of our support! Go Madonna!

Jairo Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Fantastic read. Madonna's return is politically momentous for LGBTQ+ people Opinion: The gay icon has long sang truth to power in tumultuous times. And Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II arrives when her LGBTQ+ fans need her the most, writes Josh Ackl. https://www.out.com/gay-music/madonna-confessions-dance-floor-return
