They'd get it direct from record companies. It would have to be pretty serious to suddenly shift the date.

For me it depends what exactly is happening next week IF Sabrina & Madonna perform the new track on Friday night AND it is indeed Confessions II lead single. The performance will hopefully go viral, the song will hopefully open to rave reviews. If there some promo next week leading up to the dropping it then perhaps it could work. The song might be very different for Sabrina fans and something Sabrina has never really done before, it’s certainly looking that way, therefore I think to have it ready and waiting for streams for all her fans to stream over the weekend after the broadcast of the performance is preferable, as some may not feel the urge to stream it next week if they don’t like it. Just some thoughts about it coming next week vs this week. I agree let’s have this release for us but the bottom line is IF the lead is with Sabrina it’s with her for a reason, for streams, so for me, it makes no sense not to catapult the streams after a performance ALL her global fans will be tuning into or checking out after Friday night over this weekend.

I appreciate doing a full week of teasing next week leading up to release day. But if she is performing the actual lead single with Sabrina on Friday the time for a week long teasing will be over. If people watch and love the song they will want to stream it. Lost streams if it isn’t available.

I don’t even think some of the people who are actually genuinely in the know like journalists (The Sun) who got the exclusive last month of the video shoot & Radio presenters who would be told of a new song days before normally from record labels can tell us. Maybe there has been a change of heart behind the scenes and the single was coming this week but now it’s been postponed to next week?
