I would love a surprise set at the Sahara Tent debuting the lead single along 3-4 of her dance classics, but I guess more realistically, if it's true she doing Coachella, I guess she is going to pop at Sabrina's set (or maybe with Karol G who is also a headliner and M started following her last year). But if she is there this year, no way it's not related to the new album. We'll see.

She can’t really. IF she is playing an entire set like she did 20 years ago, I would have thought rehearsals would have already started, she needs a full month surely? Being realistic, she has been in Venice for the last few weeks filming The Studio. Coachella is now just 2 weeks away. I would adore an appearance at Coachella to kick start the Confessions2 era, it would start the campaign at 120 miles an hour ! But I think if she does attend, it will be for a performance of a new song or 2, not an entire set, I don’t think she has had the time prepare a full set. Maybe for the Sabrina collaboration and to premier the lead single ?

If you are going to debut a new song anywhere, then doing it at Coachella is a pretty iconic & amazing forum to do it at Certainly make it more interesting than just dropping it on Spotify at midnight. Any association Madonna has (if she genuinely IS attending this year) with Coachella will generate big press and really shine a huge spotlight on the lead single. Follow that up 2 weeks later with an inclusion in DWP2, well, it’s promotion glory. But I remain sceptical about both DWP2 & Coachella at this point.

Yeh that’s true. Maybe the plan is to release both the lead single & Sabrina collab at the same time ? Both videos are prepared and waiting in the wings after all?

I get what you’re saying but knowing they would be releasing a joint collab #soon thereafter I don’t think it would be totally high jacking her set for nothing. It would socialize the idea of a Madonna/sabrina association prior to the collab being released by having Madonna there performing her lead single. Maybe they do a bit of a duet of one of Sabrina’s songs to create more of a tie-in or segue for the appearance. I just don’t think if Madonna is actually performing at coachella that she would be an unannounced artist performing a whole set, with the preparations for which having somehow been kept totally under wraps and ongoing while she’s also been busy filming the studio. The Sabrina pop-up is the only thing that makes sense to me. Unless we’ve been led astray by the suggestion from matthew and she won’t be there at all.

I thought Sabrina is performing April 10 and 17…? Maybe I saw something that has since been revised/updated though.
peter Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Sabrina had a collab with Dolly on one of her (Sabrina’s) own singles. Wonder if there is a possibility Madonna is on a Sabrina song, rather than Sabrina on a Madonna song. Just a thought, even if it’s a misguided one.

Madonna has only just left Venice, there’s no way she has the time to prepare & rehearse a full set for the festival in just 2 weeks, its too tight time wise to do it . If she is appearing it will be for a one off performance or too premier a new song.
